Yelp
Stumbled upon this hidden gem in Pacific Palisades today. Hidden inside this liquor store is a restaurant where you can order American and Mexican food. I learned that when Kobe Bryant lived in the area, he frequented this place for their breakfast burritos.
I was told that they sell so many cheeseburgers here and is their most popular item on the menu.
They have a good selection of craft beers including some bottles of Parabola. Nothing out of the ordinary through. I would have liked to have seen more interesting craft beer, but maybe the people in this neighborhood are not interested in rarer craft beer and more interested in wine and imported products.
I noticed a lot of hard to find European products, Marmite, Vegemite, and some tea from South Africa. I asked why they have so many interesting products. I was told that they have a lot of South Africans, Brits, English, and Irish customers who live in the Palisades. And while I was there, I noticed all the accents of the customers.
The cheeseburger is among the best I've tasted. Homemade tasting basic burger, similar to what I've tasted at Bill's Hamburgers in Van Nuys. The fries were fresh and sprinkled with seasoned salt.
Looks like not a lot of people have caught on to this place and is one of those hidden gems you'll find thanks to Yelp.
Highly recommended: Get the cheeseburger, breakfast burrito (served until 11 am) and the interesting imported products.
