Lovely camp, so peaceful and away from the crowds. Really loved it there. We had a fantastic time there and great sightings. Maria is great and kept the camp spock and span. Fridges and freezers need addressing, as one room was without a fridge and the freezers in the kitchen and dining room worked as fridges only, on hot days this is a problem. Shower head in our room needed replacing. Other than that Lovely camp.

A great place for access to fantastic game viewing, early and late. Well laid out units, kitchen, braai, boma and dining room facilities but..... Units are dark with no windows and although spacious, are hot. Certain showers did not provide hot water. A big problem is the solar power is not working, nor was the generator so no electricity for 3 of our 5 days. It cost us driving to report this to the Satara camp Manager. He was fantastic in putting wheels in motion to put in place temporary fixes so that we had electricity. Thank you Dr for all you are your assistance. Fridge/freezer facilities are adequate and are gas. Some better than others. Kitchen well equipped and has a good gas stove with oven. No fire wood or ice is available so bring your own. Also suggest you bring your own lamps, candles and sorts in case 😅. Taking all into account, worth a visit 🐾🐾

😊Top of the range (private camp). In the heart of mother nature as is in the Kruger. Riverine plant life, like Natal Mahogany and Jackalberry trees, create a picturesque view from the braai area, only to be crowned by the brightness of the stars at night. The unique quality of this camp is due to the extreme privacy of each individual sleeping unit, making it ideal for celebration parties, corporate think-tanks and small intimate wedding parties. Not only is the whole camp occupied by the party making the booking, but the units are spaced to offer privacy to each guest / family occupying that unit. Another special feature is the private viewing deck, built on stilts and overlooking the Timbavati River. The camps (Including Roodewal) forms an integral part of enjoyment of the Kruger. The place where the tourist is not so anxious to spot the big five and here one falls under the spell of "smaller nature". Birds and small fry animals are plentiful and a joy to behold.😊

Chalet Nr 2, no gas in cylinders, no fridge/freezer in chalet Nr 2. Gas cylinders empty for the Cadac skottel braais. Was not able to use it. Olifants camp assisted us via Satara to replace gas cylinders for chalet nr 2 the next day. It was not acceptable, invited friends and family for a birthday celebration and was embarrassed when chalet nr 2 could not shower with hot water. Please get a solution to prevent future disappointment regarding gas cylinders.

Only went to check the facilities out today but will be staying there in March. It is set in an amazing location overlooking the Timbavati River. Very remote and looks like an awesome place to relax, unwind and let nature come to you.

A great camp for large family reunions, conferences or weddings. The accommodation is amazing and the surrounding area has plenty of scenic routes to explore.

Had a nice stay but please note: The northen fence has 3 masive holes anything can enter and when staying in roodewal you are not able to book any game drives or bushwalks you have to book into a bigger camp

Lovely camp but fridges don't work properly and hot water geysers not working in most rooms.
