Google
6 stars of five! Super safe, beautiful view, professional staff. I was very impressed of roof climb. Adelaide Oval roof view is actually more impressive than you think, when you're looking at the oval from the ground.

The Twilight climb was a great experience. Was worried as I was recovering from Achilles tendinitis, but it was unaffected by the climb. Climb was fun, informative and entertaining. Some of the best views were unexpected. Was a windy last night but hey nobody can control that. The Guides were thorough and professional. There are strict terms and conditions restrictions and safety procedures, but these are fair and reasonable and understandably essential. Would highly recommend the twilight climb.

Fantastic Experience! I have done 3 Bridgeclimbs and sky tower and this adventure was as good as any world wide 👊

I received Roof Climb vouchers ages ago and finally got around to doing the experience yesterday. It was incredible. Having such a small group (only 4 people) and beautiful weather was just perfect and Isaac did an excellent job of running it. He was very friendly, didn't rush us at all, and was incredibly informative. My sister/I were born and raised in SA & attend games at Adelaide Oval frequently, yet there was still so much we learnt about the city and the venue itself. Absolutely recommend this to anyone considering it (or looking for a great gift)!

Google
What an awesome experience. Smaller groups (3-5 people) are the best way to do this. We had 8, and it was still good. The guide was very knowledgeable, and we all had a great time, despite the wind being a bit strong. Well worth doing this.

Absolutely amazing ! Went there as a part of a uni event , had so much fun. Lucas was our guide , so helpful and shared a lot of interesting information, really thankful to him for all the guidance and lovely pictures he took for us. Totally recommended !

Google
I did this as a 40th gift to my partner and we did it together. Not being a football fan myself, I wasn't sure I would enjoy it that much, but found it fantastic! Our guide was funny and informative and the tour was really informative and interesting for all ages. It didn't hurt that we got a beautiful day for the 10am tour, but all in all would recommend as a fun way to see the city from up high and a lovely date day.

Yelp
This is the cricket stadium, there was a Guns N' Roses concert here last night. Although they are cleaning up, we went inside and visited the museum and saw the model of the overall stadium & small museum. There were many bars, a cafe & small gift shop. It's a few steps from the railway station & downtown district.

Yelp
Holy crap this place is big. This is the first stadium I've been to in Australia and I am unaccustomed to the level of civility demonstrated here. First of all, either my memory is crap or I completely missed the weapons check area. I did see a pair of gentlemen get pat downs but the security pat-downers completely skipped me. Did I have to opt-in for that? Also, I had trouble scanning my ticket and no one yelled at me. They just politely sent me to another nearby ticket checker. There was no frustrated sighing or wild gesticulations. Just actual helpfulness from a people who didn't seem bothered by my existence. We had tickets to really amazing seats down at field level but again, I'm not from here and have lots of trauma from missing entire eons of game play from standing in beer lines, so my most beloved went for beer. He left and came back with still plenty of game left so I can only imagine there an efficient beer vending system the likes of which I've never seen. At one point, someone gestured to me to notice the absolute pyschos seated in the uppermost part of the stadium. I don't know who is more daring: the people who chose to watch the game from there or the people who designed that area. Lovely venue, great field, lovely security, and very well maintained. So orderly and pretty it could very well be mistaken for a figment of my imagination.

Yelp
I came to the Oval with my kids to do the roof climb. We bought our tickets online and arrived ready to see Adelaide from upon high. Our tour guides were knowledgeable and friendly. Safety was the primary concern, followed by our enjoyment of the experience. I've never walked on top of a stadium like this before, and it was exhilarating. My kids had a blast too (they're 11 and 15). Lots of pictures were taken by the guide and we got to take them all home with us to share. If you're in town, do the roof climb. They offer daytime, nighttime, game-time, and all the time ... rain or shine.

Yelp
Amazingly, through all the redevelopment Adelaide Oval has retained its charm. I attended the Port vs Fremantle game here with a good friend from the UK on the 10th May. The weather was perfect and there was a decent crowd in attendance - about 38,000 people - so not packed out, but not like the tough times of old. We sat in the outer General Admission area at the Northern end of the ground (near the hill - it's still there! - closer to the Eastern stand side) and were about five rows back from the boundary - a great spot if you want to feel close to the action when the ball heads your way. Over the course of the game we drank a couple of beers and had a gourmet-style hotdog each - I was shocked that these were a) quite reasonable and b) didn't totally bankrupt us (as "entertainment" food often does). Don't get me wrong - the food and drinks aren't cheap, but you don't need to sell a kidney to afford them. (Well not straight away at least!) My friend remarked that opposition supporters are separated to different areas at stadiums in the UK, and was amazed at the intermingling of rival fans and general good humour on display in Adelaide. The acoustics of the redeveloped ground are truly astounding. If you've never attended an AFL game, you owe it to yourself to check one out - if only for the spine-tingling effect of so many passionate people cheering for their chosen team.

Yelp
I was one of the many highly skeptical people who could not believe the oval redevelopment could be pulled off. Let alone pulled off successfully. And having played on Adelaide Oval in my illustrious sporting career I have an appropriate emotional attachment to the place (okay, it was an under 10s game at half time of a Port v Sturt match, but it still counts!) It was only after returning to Adelaide after some time away that I began to gain an appreciation for all the work done, and all the things I'd heard had been so positive so my expectations were high. After one season of football I was sold. Rather than ruining the carnival atmosphere of a summer's game of cricket, the atmosphere has been added to the already fast paced sport of Australian Rules Football. No matter where your seats are, you have a great view and you're able to meet up with mates for food and a drink while still having a good view of the oval. It sounds simple but it's a really huge achievement. There's also the proximity to the city, the hill and the relative ease of getting in and out of the venue, but for me it's all about the atmosphere which is largely down to great design. The only small negative is the apparent inequality of toilet facilities. Apparently it's quite a long wait for a wee at the ladies loo. But hey at what event isn't this the case? No matter what your preferred form of entertainment is, if something you like is happening at the Oval and you are in Adelaide it's definitely worth a look.

Yelp
Killer venue. If you're thirsty beforehand, the Strath is a good starting point. Catching a match on a balmy summers evening with the glowing city skyline in the background is a quintessential Adelaide experience. Take it all in, because if you're standing on the grass by the old scoreboard, you're about to get covered in beer. There's hardly a bad seat in the house. And regardless of what you think of it, the roof on the western stand does a brilliant job of protecting you from the eliminates, whether it be from the beating sun during the day or from getting too chilly at night.

Yelp
Well, I've finally got to check out the new Adelaide Oval, and I have to admit that it is pretty impressive. It's certainly a much better place to watch the football, and a lot easier to get to than AAMI Stadium (which would generally involve an hour long bus ride to get to the football match, and that was if you caught one of the footy express buses, but then again the gridlock to get to the stadium was horrendous). Now it takes about half-an-hour by train, which is so much more convenient. Mind you, I still have to compare the place to the MCG, namely because there are so many more reserved seats there, and you can get much better seats for a much cheaper price, whereas here the unreserved seats tend to be at the back of the upper levels of the stands (and the angle of the stands are pretty hair-raising at time). Oh, they do have standing room, but I've never liked standing room at these places. As for snacks, they do have a pretty decent variety of stalls, though not all of them take EFTPOS. Anyway, I'm going to have to give this place the thumbs up, even if it is just for convenience.

Yelp
ticket staff didn't know what guest passes where. One bridge between city and oval for 45,000 people. You have some work to do Adelaide.

Yelp
This is a world class facility. No matter where you sit or stand, you will get a great view at an entertainment venue no matter what the event. Hard to detail what it is, it is part historical, part future, part great present value. Well worth a tour or visit if you get a chance.

Yelp
Such an impressive building, well designed and well laid out. The views from the various seats are spectacular and ample shadin has been provided areas has been provided to both members and non-members areas. I still don't understand the appeal of the Village Green, a hot, albeit shaded area out the back serving Pimms to those that want to be seen drinking Pimms - with not a screen in sight to show you the action on the field. However, by having this area, the internal bars are less inundated. Very impressed with speed and quality of service throughout the Oval and best of all, so easy and quick to get out and get into the city via the footbridge. Congrats Adelaide!

Yelp
Historic and increasingly modern, Adelaide oval is one of the most beautiful cricket grounds in the world. Surrounded by parklands and Adelaide's iconic Torrens river and cityscape, the oval is perfectly positioned. One of the best days of cricket there is the Australia Day match. Drinks start early, the sun is always shining and you head off with friends on a lazy public holiday to watch the cricket on the famed hill with its historic and classic scoreboard. The new additions to the ground are making it a world class venue which will soon include the AFL. I was lucky enough to go to the first AFL match held at Adelaide oval in the dying rounds of the 2011 Season and the atmosphere was awesome. A great place to appreciate how great Adelaide really is.

Yelp
Whether you are a fan of cricket, or not you have to admit The Adelaide Oval is one of the most beautiful sporting venues in the world. After recently undergoing a major redevelopment, the iconic old scoreboard, with bar inside is still standing, and remains a popular area for sharing a few ales in front of during a Summer Test, or even the 20/20 matches which have recently become the way of the future regarding fast, paced cricket. Throughout the year, the oval is also available for functions, and various rooms can be privately booked throughout the ground. The Adelaide Oval has also hosted some major events that have come to Adelaide such as AC/DC and The Foo Fighters, and other sporting events such as AFL and Rugby are more frequently being played here also. As a patron, I'd have to say they really know how to run a show here, and even when at capacity, the crowd are kept well under control (Nothing but smooth sailing).

Yelp
A warm, sunny, summer afternoon watching the Australian Cricket Team at the Adelaide Oval is definitely one of my top five things of all time. It is a fantastic venue, being a decent size so that no matter where you are, you still feel a part of the game and that you don't need binoculars to be able to see the action. It also has an old-school style score board which I simply adore. What brings great sadness to me is the thought that with new renovations being talked about, they are thinking of being rid of the iconic 'grass seating' area, and ruining the view of the beautiful church (hence why it's called the "church end" of the oval)and replacing it with more seated areas, so it's more of a stadium like AAIMI Stadium. This will break my heart. I have also attended a 21st in the members areas at this ground, and it was very beautiful. A nice room with a fantastic view.

Yelp
I passed through here to take a look when there was no match on. Since its renovation it's huge and there's some interesting things to see. Several grandstands are named after famous South Australian champions - Chappel family, Mark Ricciuto, Gavin Wanganeen, Donald Bradman etc. there's also a Donald Bradman Museum which is a must for any fan. The refreshment area is very nice and there's a good view from all seating. The original scoreboard has been retained for prosperity but the rest of it is all modern amenities. It would be a great venue for sporting or music events and it's very easy to get to also - just over the river in the city.

Yelp
The most beautiful and iconic world class stadium, Adelaide Oval. The prestigious Hill of Grade Restaurant, Stadium Tours, RoofClimb, it is such an incredible venue with so much history and knowledge. AFL, SANFL, Cricket, Soccer and Concerts, Weddings, Functions and events. What more can you want.

Yelp
Toilets, toilets galore and generally tidy, clean and working! If that isn't enough to win you over, then you really need to reassess your priorities! Okay, okay, there are probably other great things about Adelaide oval - well there definitely are but the 5th star was gained when I needed to go, at half time at a packed crows game and was able to do so efficiently and happily without having to battle any other desperate women - which is a general 'yay good planning venue' in my books! Other great things about Adelaide oval; the seats are comfy- well they aren't uncomfortable that is, the staff are friendly (I know, there are lots but the ones I have encountered were SUPER fun and friendly considering it's probably stressful working at a busy game) and it is an awesome venue in a great location - I've even walked home from here (because drunk Alicia thought it was a good idea!) Adelaide oval - all round winner.

Yelp
Great venue! One must go and experience the vibe during a match. I happen to attend a conference where they discussed the project implementation. Remarkable! It certainly put Adelaide on the map.

Yelp
Best there is. Any where you sit or go during a game weather it be the back of the southern stand, on the mound, in a corporate box it is just the best
