Rooftop Cinema Club Little Italy

We ended up getting tickets to Rooftop Cinema Club and watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Since we were staying at the Hyatt we got a discount and it ended up being $53.16. The wood heaters were quite strong which was enjoyed. Also it is a nice set up, you could play some games before the movie, they have human sized Connect 4, Corn Hole, etc. Also you can purchase drinks and snacks as well. The story of the movie was really nice and we really enjoyed it. The hot chocolate definitely tasted like Swiss Miss. Overall nice thing to do in downtown San Diego!

First time roofers for us both and at first we were taken back by the location, better signs would be easier to navigate throughout the hotel. However once we got there check in was super easy and we were given our headphones and popcorn vouchers. Seats are first come first served by areas you bought your tickets for. The love seat lounger with foot rest was a great choice. The popcorn could have been fresher and I suggest eating it quickly because it does cool off faster being outdoors. However the screen and experience were well worth the wait for the start of the movie. Being able to adjust the volume individually makes it easier to listen to the movie at your preference level. Pride and Prejudice under the stars and lights of the San Diego skyline was a great ending for a wonderful evening in America's Finest City. Highly recommend and we look forward to returning to the roof for another great movie.

This was a cool experience, but I really wish a few things could have been done a bit better. The directions in the email and signage to find the screen/rooftop were pretty confusing and misleading (sent us to the wrong tower). We paid for the love seats with the heaters, but none of the heaters were turned on and it got pretty cold at sunset. Thank goodness we brought an extra warm blanket. Overall, the movie was fun to watch outside and the headphones worked great. Cool setup in downtown San Diego.

This place has been on my bucket list, so my family coming to town for my birthday was the perfect opportunity to check it out. I’m so glad I did! What a gem! Friendly staff (thank you Jesus for your kindness on my birthday!!), CUTE set-up, great vibe, fun activities, yummy food and drink with a GREAT selection-could not ask for more! Snuggled up in our blankets, under the stars, watching a great movie-it was magical! Do yourself a favor and check it out!!!

First off, shout out to the marketing team because I got the ad on ig for "Emily- Gilmore Girls" night and immediately booked tickets as a surprise to my partner who is obsessed with the show. But…I booked them a month ago, so the build up was insane because i usually spoil surprises. And then, the day came. Yesterday. She ended up getting the same ad on IG that morning and knew instantly why I told her to be free that night. Anyways, yeah it was incredible. Concession stand prices reasonable, beer prices little steep. Seats were great and private fire place and free hot coco was def worth it! Highly recommend. Oh, and bring a blanket.

As a movie lover, this was such a cozy and unique experience. The pre-movie activities and cute photo ops made it even better. 10/10 I’ll definitely be returning. Seating is a first come first serve so make sure to arrive a bit early.

Such a fun experience! Seating is comfortable. There is a mixture of single seating and seating for two people. There is not a bad seat; you can easily see the movie screen. The headphones you wear to watch the movie have great sound quality and are easy to wear. The rooftop area was clean and spacious with a nice view from above. There is a small snack bar and and bar area to purchase items. Don't forget to bring jackets and blankets for colder nights.

Really good experience! There were choices of food and drinks. The seats are really confortable, even for a 2 hours movie. Headphones are great. I want to do it again

Honestly such a cute place to come with friends, the ambience was on point. And feeling the open air, seeing the planes fly overhead, with the glittering skyscrapers was breathtaking. Must visit if you ever come to San Diego.

A first for me and my daughter to watch rooftop cinema. We were staying at the JW Marriott next door to Hyatt and this event showing Pride and Prejudice popped up. We bought our tickets the same day. Since this is inside the Hyatt hotel it can be confusing so FOLLOW the email they send you once you purchase the tickets and you won't get lost. Do arrive at least 30 minutes or more to avoid the line checking in and have first dibs on your chair location. Besides, there are activities you can do before, area to buy food (limited but substantial if no time to eat before). We had an early dinner and watched the earlier show. NOTE: we were there on December 30, 2024 so remember that it is very cold even with the heaters around you so I was dressed warmly from head to toe and brought a blanket in addition. It was a lovely evening but still chilly. Even though I have seen the Keira Knightly and Matthew Macfadyen version countless times, I cry everytime. It was such a great experience and can't wait to see more movies on the rooftop. Next time, I will watch in the summer.

Love this spot, perfect date night or time with friends. Staff is always cool, lines for food and drink can take a while and they're a bit pricey but that's standard for a movie these days. Getting there is easy if you follow the directions in the email. The venue is always clean, the movie choices are awesome, and tickets are cheap for how unique of an experience it is. They let you bring blankets in, which you'll probably need. Their wooftop nights, when dogs are allowed, are also super fun! My dog isn't the best with other dogs but you can space yourselves out and we always have fun. Their transfer policy is great too, to accommodate last minute changes in plans. Totally recommend.

We had a wonderful date night over the holidays at rooftop cinema club! We came an hour early for a 6:30 showing so that we could check in, snag seats, and get concessions & drinks beforehand. We loved getting there early and being able to enjoy the space. It's a well decorated and lit place where you can get cozy just like if you were at the theaters. Everyone working there was very kind and accommodating to help us navigate the space for the first time. We brought a blanket since it was chilly. You could pay extra for premium seats that are by heaters. Don't sleep on the concession special - popcorn, candy, and soft drink. So good to pair with our holiday office episode marathon!

Just went for the very first time for a Taylor swift disco night and I loved it! The vibes were great! The staff is really nice and the Hyatt is one of my favorite hotels ever so I love finding any excuse to go there! They have a lot of drinks and snacks for purchase!

Amazing and worth it stayed at the hotel and my friend talked me into a movie night on the roof. So charming, they checked us in at the front. Make sure to get ur tickets online. I would think this would be an awesome date night for the locals. Meanwhile a mist for anyone staying at the hotel. Drinks (alcohol available), snacks and blankets available. A must on any visit!

Had such an amazing time here! The views are spectacular while hanging out and watching the movie. Staff were very helpful and attentive. Had some light movie snacks which are typical for a movie theater.

Had my first visit to the Rooftop Cinema Club this week to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show with a mini drag show this weekend and had a really good time. It was hard finding my way up to actual rooftop but once I was there everything was good. There are a few signs and you can either take the stairs and then escalators or you can allegedly take an elevator that will take you directly to the 4th floor (I'm sure you'll never guess which I took) They've got popcorn, and all sorts of movie snacks plus drinks (alcoholic and soft drinks.) You get little headphones to wear so the street noise won't bother you.

I went to check out and there was no place for me to put my discount code of discount10. Also, they want me to pay a six dollar convenience fee. What is that all about? Other merchants don't charge a convenience fee. Now your form is asking for request type but won't accept any of your canned responses. That is quite inconvenient. Not impressed, but I still want to use your facility because I have a gift card. Why is there no customer service number? I hope the movie this Saturday night won't sell out while I'm waiting for your response.

Found this rooftop cinema on TikTok before coming to SD and I am very happy my girlfriend and I did this activity. First of all, there's pickle ball, basketball, jenga, and uno to play on the side while waiting for the movie to start. Second, the view of SD from up too is awesome. My girlfriend and I ordered drinks from the bar and our bartender Chris was super funny and friendly. He was from SF like us and we kept going back and forth about the Bay Area. Shoutout Chris! We watched Grease, the song along, and the headphones were quality, we could sing out loud without hearing anyone. We had a lot of fun and the vibes and atmosphere was great. I would definitely recommend this activity and come back again.

Only in California can you watch a movie on the outdoor patio of a hotel in the middle of winter! Though it was a little breezy - they do offer blanket rentals for $14 and you're welcome to bring your own! No outside food or drinks allowed, but their bar has tons of options and many snacks to choose from. There's a variety of movies they play here. I particularly like that they play older movies here! From La La Land to 50 First Dates to Top Gun... I was tempted to watch them all! They also play movies that were currently out in movie theatres and on Netflix too. On the day of the super bowl, they also stream the game! Expect some dog-friendly events to come up soon too. My boyfriend and I shared a loveseat, which is first come first serve. For $18 each and it included popcorn - this was a great deal! We watched 500 Days of Summer (2009) this past Monday and it was so fun. I would love to come back here again!!!

Went to see PS I Love You with girl friends tonight. One of my fav movies of all time. Staff was super friendly. Drink was strong. I got the tropic thunder. It was over $22 after tax. Which I think was WAY over priced. Bar closed at 730, but movie lasted till 9? Got candy and popcorn from the concession. Popcorn was blah. Staff was super nice. We went as girlfriends so didn't sit in love seats , so no table. Over all was ok. Would do it again, but it could be better Would recommend bar and real food service at your seat for the prices.

This was a really fun experience. We parked in the hotel parking garage $13 with validation. We arrived early for the 2nd and last showing. The previous movie was over but they allow the previous movie patrons to use the tennis courts/connect 4/corn hole/games until they start allowing the next showing in. There were a ton of kids at the 1st movie that stayed and played until we (the 2nd showing) were allowed in. I highly recommend the 18+ movie showings if you want a kid free environment. Anyway, we scanned our tickets, received our head phones, and found seats (we purchased the loveseats and those were all down the middle with side tables on each side for snacks and beverages). We left our blankets and jackets in our chosen seats, first come first serve, and purchased cocktails and played games until the movie started. It was a fun/unquie experience. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Tip: there are bathrooms inside the hotel that are very nice. I recommend going before the movie starts because it's not super close. It's down 2 hallways and around the corner.

This was SUCH a fabulous find! I don't usually pay attention to FB ads, but I am *so* glad I did this time! We've always loved to sit outside and watch TV so this was the perfect setting for us, I booked as soon as I checked out their website and some reviews. We chose our movie, which started at 3:15. I was a little worried about the sun but they timed the movie start PERFECTLY, the seating was out of the sun by then. Towards the end of the movie, the sun did hit the screen a bit but the quality of the screen is a good one and we saw the entire movie just fine. Adirondack chairs are the perfect choice. They've got a decent pad on them, but after reading reviews I still took a pillow just in case - used it for more lumbar support because they've got head cushions attached. I also took a blanket, because you never know what the wind will be like, and I'm glad I did because I needed it after the sun went to the other side of the building. They've got games to play while you're waiting for your movie to start (they send you an email with the time you're allowed in, we got to go an hour early). There's a bar (which I did not partake in) and a snack shack. Their snacks are traditional movie fare, which I'll admit is a bit of a disappointment. But I knew that going in so we didn't expect to have a 'real' meal while we were there. I'd read that the popcorn is 'meh' and I'd say that I agree, we will still purchase it when we go again. The headsets are a good quality and we experienced no difficulties operating them. I have always hated over-the-ear headsets, so ended out holding them off my ears for a bit (some doctor told me it's an issue with the cartilage so unless they're the size of Princess Leia hair buns then I'm uncomfortable in them). It would be great if there was some way that I could use my own headset, but I know that's like a LOT to ask for. The website isn't the easiest to navigate, you don't get to see all of the movies on one page - you have to scroll left and right. That's not the fault of the local folks, so I don't want to ding them on it. Parking - depending on the day of the year, it's possible you can use the hotel's parking garage (I believe they validate your parking and you get a discounted rate, but don't recall). We went on the 4th of July and they informed customers that the garage was only for hotel guests. But they are right at one of the green trolley stops, so not hard to get to if you do public transport or walk. We LOVE LOVE LOVE this concept and will go again. What a great use of space, especially in an area with weather like SD. Thank you for reading my review. Maybe I'll see you there one day!

One of my favorite spots in San Diego... EVER. The staff here is just so, so nice. I first noticed when they rearranged seats for a couple that was separated, despite having many notices online and in the emails that seats are first come first serve. Staff at the box office, check in, and the bartender all made casual conversation with me and had a super positive vibe and demeanor. Great hiring and staff morale! On top of that, it really feels like this is a space that appreciates film. And, of course, the view is marvelous.

First time here, it has been an incredible experience! The venue has a charming atmosphere, blending cozy seating with a stunning view of the San Diego skyline. The open-air rooftop setting adds such a unique touch, making it more than just a movie night it's an experience.

I love the vibe of this outdoor rooftop theatre! My family wanting to watch the Barbie movie but it was no longer showing in regular theaters. This was one of the last places playing it in SD so we snagged tickets online. We decided to get 2 love seats for 4 of us. It was $25.50 per person and included a free bag of popcorn each. After some fees, it ended up being around $130 total. They give you headphones for the movie, which sounded very high quality and helped block out external noises. They also gave us free ponchos in case it got misty since we're close to the water. I recommend getting there as early as possible to get your desired seating since it's first come first serve! You can also walk around the area before the show, take pics of the rooftop views or at their nicely decorated areas. Also recommend bringing some blankets if going at night as it can be a bit colder! I went in November but it wasnt too cold, but did get cold around the end of the movie. This is in the same building as the Grand Hyatt, so you are able to park in their parking structure (go in the self-park line). The parking is $11 with validation which they can give to you when you get up to the rooftop area. The place is on the 4th floor inside the hotel which you can get to on escalators, and they had signs that were easy to follow. Leaving the parking structure at the end of the movie took awhile since there's only 1 exit and there's a pay station where you enter your payment/validation. It can get congested and backed up if the pay stations get glitchy. Overall, this was a fun movie experience! I love the cozy outdoor evening vibes in the city. It is a bit pricey, especially with added fees and parking, so I don't know how often I would come here. It might not be worth it to the price conscious person.

Last year my husband and son attended the roof top showing of the movie Elf on December23 and it was a great experience that we wanted to make a tradition out of. So this year I didn't think twice about purchasing tickets for the move Home Alone on 12/23/24 at 5:45. We purchased the tickets ahead of time and we were looking forward to it all day. We got dressed up and my son packed his elf in a plastic counter so he could come watch with us. my husband left work early and we drove to downtown san diego in traffic. Before we left I reviewed the details on the tickets I was emailed and read all the rules carefully. We arrived early to buy food and drinks and participate in the outdoor games available. While waiting in line a staff member approached us and told us that this move was for children over 13. Confused, I stepped out of line and was told that this was a new change that was on the website. I noticed there were other children in line as well. I pulled up my email and asked them to show me where it says this on the tickets, and he said it doesn't say that on the tickets, but it is somewhere on the website. He said there is nothing he can do it is a hotel policy and he does not work for the hotel. I explained that we came last year at this time and it is not in the email, so how would I know that this rule exists. He said he has no responsibility for it but we will not be able to watch the movie tonight. He also said he could not help get us a refund as the company that does the refunds is a separate company as well. The worst part is we had to pay for parking still. My son was crying as he was excited to watch it. and despite being there for less than 15 minutes we had to pay $10 for an hour of parking.

Smart idea! A rooftop cinema and venue space. My friends and I just went to do the Beyoncé silent disco and watch Carmen: A Hip Hopera at the Rooftop Cinema Club Embarcadero and we had a really nice time. Note: When buying your tickets, please make sure you are purchasing for the San Diego location. They have locations in LA, Houston, all many other places. If you do buy a ticket for the wrong place, you can transfer locations through their website before the starting time of the event. There are multiple options for chairs and they sell snacks and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). They gave us free popcorn because of the event. The popcorn was good and they have popcorn seasoning too! I also had the soft pretzel with cheese. Very yummy! My friends also had popcorn, the hot dog and the cheeseburger. They liked both the hot dog and cheeseburger. We all ordered alcoholic drinks. Two of us got the Tropic Thunder and the other one of us got the Bidi Bidi Bom Bom. The Tropic Thunder was really tasty, definitely for folks who prefer fruity drinks. The Bidi Bidi Bom Bom was mad strong so only get that if you don't mind the taste of alcohol. Everyone working that night was super friendly! They were patient with us as we were figuring out what drinks we wanted. They answered all of my questions and helped me decide what drink to get. The folks at the snack stand were also super friendly and helpful. Everyone seemed like they genuinely enjoy working there and want to make sure you get everything your looking for. I look forward to coming back for another movie night and hopefully they do more silent discos!

My fiancé took me here for my birthday before dinner and what was supposed to be a cute date night turned into an EXTREMELY cold and uncomfortable movie night. They have heaters sitting next to every seat but they don't work nor did anyone offer to turn them on or figure out why they weren't working (most likely out of wood pellets) I couldn't concentrate on the movie because I felt like I was in Tahoe sitting outside in the snow watching a movie, I would have rather been home under my blankets with the fireplace going sipping hot chocolate, and for anyone thinking it YES I was bundled up and I also brought my own blanket and had to have my 60lb dog lay on my lap for warmth. The only cool part was the nachos and nacho cheese and popcorn were gluten free which I wasn't expecting at all it even says GF on the packaging (in case there's any celiacs out there visiting) I will probably try to come back but in the summer because they just aren't equipped for the weather very well. Also it's SUPER hard to find. There were people walking all over the place with us trying to find this place, more signs placed right outside the elevator would be nice.

OUTDOOR MOVIE EXPERIENCE (5 stars) Shutting down AMC and Regal! Ha! This was a cool gift to experience. I love the movies and I love doing things outdoors. And at my favorite hotel in SD. If you think going to the regular movies is expensive, this is more expensive. Some things are hotel priced. :: PREP :: Bring a light blanket or small pillow for comfort. :: LOCATION :: Park in the general parking of the Hyatt. It's $34 but you get a voucher and end up paying on $11. Enter hotel and take elevators to the 4th floor of the Grand Hyatt. Not poolside but on the other side where the basketball and pickle ball courts are. Right?! Who knew those existed at the Grand Hyatt. It's tucked in the corner and the backdrop is downtown facing east. The bathrooms are IN the hotel, end of the hallway and take a left near the conference rooms. BOX OFFICE/CON-SESSION STAND: headphones, food, drinks CINEBAR: adult beverages :: THE EXPERIENCE :: Getting movie devirginized on a rooftop of a fancy hotel was a dope experience. Why not watch one of my favorite movies (Love and Basketball) for my first time. It is first come seating but in advance you do secure your seat type if that be an Adirondack Chair (solo) or Adirondack Love Seat (couple) - the lover seats are situated in the middle and the other seats to the side - all have a great view. If seated in the love seat you get a pink bracket to indicate you get a love seat. Upon arrival there is bar to the right, concession stand in the middle, and lounge area with games to the left. Behind all that is the big screen and seats. At the concession stand is where the headphones are picked up. ADIRONDACK LOVE SEAT - spacious for two. Basically, all chairs are wooden beach chairs with light padding. Not comfy if it's the bare minimum. However bringing your own light blanket or pillow to adjust comfort is ON YOU. Was comfortable through the duration of the movie. POPCORN - not your AMC movie theater popcorn but more of the knock off styles you see at mall parking lot amusement parks. HOT COCOA ($5.50) - good. TALK TO ME GOOSE ($19) - grey goose vodka, blue curaçao, lime juice, simple syrup, soda water. Not worth 19 but it is hotel prices. It was made well, nothing wrong with taste... very tropical and grey goose blends well in drinks. ... on occasion, technical difficulties. At times the headphones would not work and you are trying to read lips on the big screen but those glitches are short lived. Afterwards, be polite and throw away your mess. There will be someone near the Box Office collecting the headphones. JABA APPROVED. Until the next movie...

Me and my wife absolutely love this place! The movie selection are honestly for a millennial crowd (s/o to all my fellow 30+ peeps) the Tuesday social hour is such a steal! Perfect for date nights. Never too crowded. A place to have fun on a budget. 10/10. Staff is always a vibe too

Rooftop cinema was a fun experience that I would recommend to locals and visitors alike. It is located in the Manchester Grand Hyatt on the 4th floor which is convenient if you're staying there, not so much if you aren't. They do offer parking at a discounted rate if $11 with validation. I think the signage could have been a little more visible and perhaps a big sign at the elevators. Once on he fours the 4th floor I was a little surprised that it was also the sports courts, we had to interrupt a game of pickleball to walk to the cinema area. What I really enjoyed was this fun concept, cute area with lots of photo ops and of course the great rooftop views! The seating area itself is very nice and well-kept and appreciated how they were spaced out and that there were tables for each person. I would recommend going to a later movie when the sun is already down since our 4pm showing caused the sun to shine on the screen making it a little hard to see. Also, bring a jacket or blanket since that side of the rooftop was a little colder and windier. Overall, I had a good time. This is a perfect date night activity or for a girls night. I am happy I got to experience it but probably won't make it a regular occurrence since the whole experience was a little pricey (about $50 for 2 tickets, $11 parking, $10 beer). Lastly, if you get a chance, go out on the patio area that is by the bathrooms, lovely view of the water and Coronado bridge.

We did manage to sample... - Vanilla Cookie by Pretty Little Cookie (Free for the Yelp Elite event) | Sugar cookie with the Yelp logo frosted on top. It's dense and vanilla sweet. It was buttery and salty; per usual. - Chicken Waffle Sandwich ($6.75) | Two soft waffles with a fried chicken patty sandwiched in between. We added honey to elevate the flavor because on its own, it's quite dry and uneventful. THE DRINKS | Cocktails, wines, and beers. There are non-alcohol drinks as well, but no thank you. I sipped on... - Clint Eastwood ($17) | Jack Daniel's whiskey, ginger beer, angostura bitters, and lime juice. The whiskey and ginger beer combined is an interesting bitter flavor, almost beer-like. THE ROOFTOP CINEMA CLUB EMBARCADERO FEELS | The Yelp Elite event set up was bright and airy with colorful tables and chairs smattered throughout to eat and socialize. Cozy beach chairs are arranged in rows for the movie which is displayed on a big screen. Comfortable headphones are provided and allows you to be that annoying person who talks through a movie (me) without disrupting others around. THE PARKING SITUATION | Parking in the hotel's parking structure came out to about $24, but with validation at the box office, it was reduced down to $11. There was available parking on the higher floors of the structure. Go to the hotel lobby and use the Harbor Tower elevators to take you to the fourth floor. WOULD I COME BACK? | I would go back once it's a bit warmer and if there's a movie I'm interested in seeing. Tickets range from $16.50 - $25.00, but they do offer discounts for active, retired, and family of military personnel (15% off with voucher code: EmbarcaderoMilitary2023). I planned my whole day around this visit to the Rooftop Cinema Club and it was well worth it! I've only been once to the LA location a few years ago on a date. I saw that Crazy Rich Asians was playing so I thought it would be a perfect movie to see in an outdoor setting. I arrived early but no one was there yet so I decided to walk around the hotel for a bit then made my way down to Seaport Village to explore. I've never been in this area so it was super nice especially as the sun began to set. It wasn't a busy night at the rooftop cinema so seating was not a problem at all. The staff were all friendly so I have no complaints on service. The movie starts promptly at the show time so make sure to be there before then or you'll miss part of the movie. I ordered a popcorn and nachos with a drink from the bar. The popcorn wasn't super fresh which is annoying but I know this isn't a giant corporate movie theater chain with the best equipment. I do like the idea of the headphones for better audio experience, but I personally enjoy being able to hear the reactions to movies. The set up was very nice on the hotel's sports courts. The view somewhat obstructed by fencing but still pretty nice! Overall, I had a great time on a solo date. It would definitely be more fun with someone else and I've already recommended it to my friends. I'm not sure I'll be back to this location unless I was planning a date down in San Diego. Highly recommend this experience if you love movies and want to try something new!

I've always wished to visit! And I'm pleased to report that I got to see a movie at Rooftop Cinema Club! The parking garage at the Hyatt was easy to get in. I took the elevator to the lobby, then stepped into another elevator to the 4th floor/roof. The process was extremely simple. When I walked onto the rooftop, I was taken aback by the stunning city view. It felt incredible to see the highrises and sunset. This cinema is small and cute. They had decorated areas where you could snap Instagram photos. The décor and atmosphere were both present. I would certainly return with friends and on a warmer night.

I'm obsessed. Probably my favorite thing I did in San Diego. The area is so cute and affordable and perfect in San Diego weather. It cost me about $50 for 2 tickets and a popcorn. Similar prices to a normal theater! You're given padded headphones to wear during the movie, we ended up watching scream. I'd recommend bringing your own blanket because it costs $12 to get one for the movie. It is a little tricky to get here, but the email with the tickets gives you detailed instructions which were super helpful, we did have to pay $11 for parking at the hotel so take this cost into account. If you're getting a cocktail be careful as they're quite strong haha. This is 100% a great date night spot or somewhere to go with your friends. An added experience than just a movie theater. Would be perfect at sunset or night time. They have lots of movies to choose from so you can plan ahead as well.

Went to our first Rooftop movie on Wednesday! They were showing Crazy, Stupid Love for a Yelp event (one of our all time favorites), so it was a great opportunity to check it out. You can park in the garage for $11 with validation, and the theater is on the tennis court area/same tower side as the garage. (The hotel is huge, so it can be a little confusing.) Overall, it was a super fun date night. They give you headphones to listen to the movie which cuts out people talking or making noise around you. There are lots of double Adirondack chairs to cozy next to someone or single seats if preferred. It does get chilly at night being so close to the water, so I definitely recommend coming in layers/bringing a blanket to share. It was also cool to be there early and catch sunset. Wednesday was also a full moon, so we got a really beautiful rooftop view of the moon rising. We split a bottle of wine and had some popcorn; drinks are a little pricey so be prepared. The staff was really nice and super helpful; they even cracked a few jokes with us. Looking forward to catching another throw back soon!

I went here for a Yelp event with one of my friends this past Wednesday night. We saw the movie crazy stupid love. This rooftop is located on the fourth floor with the grand hyatt, there is garage parking which I recommend, and they'll validate your parking tickets so the cost for parking comes to only $11. Street parking will be nearly impossible, so highly recommend just parking in the garage. The rooftop is very cute. They created a very Instagram worthy vibe. The ambiance is very colorful, very spring and summer vibe. I will say, however, it was pretty cold and windy once it got dark. I brought a blanket as a precaution, and I could have used another blanket and some gloves. You can also purchase blankets there for $12... but that all so tells you how cold it may get. So, I would have plans to strategically ahead. Very unique experience. You definitely felt on top of the world / downtown as you're watching this movie surrounded by skyscrapers. They also give you headsets to watch the movie, which I really liked because it allowed you to talk freely and not worry about being too loud like you would in a traditional movie theater. Our showing was 7:00 p.m., so we got to watch Sunset and moonrise. It was a full moon, it was so beautiful!! Perfect for a date night or just going out with some friends. You can check which movies are showing on what dates on the website Definitely a fun experience. I would likely go back in the summer when it's a bit warmer.

Movies are old so be selective but the popcorn was so good! And their alcoholic drink was very good. Amazing views and great service. Highly recommended!

This was my first time coming here and although it rained on us, it was still a great space to enjoy on a Sunday night. I went to go see "Everything, Everywhere, All at Once" which recently just swept the Oscars, and overall is a great film. Upon arrival, you'll be given a wristband to enter and exit the rooftop space as well as blue tooth headphones to listen to the film. The venue is very large and complete with games, Instagram worthy corners and decor, a bar, and a concession stand. This is a great date night idea especially if watching movies together is your love language or if you really love the movie going experience now with a sunset backdrop. I deducted one star as I would love to see the space implement some inclement weather procedures such as umbrellas or maybe a few tents. They could even add hot chocolate and tea to the menu as it got super chilly. To help with the nightfall temperature drop they do offer blankets. Can't wait to watch some other great films here and will definitely go on a sunnier day!

Such a fun date night idea!! However it does get cold at night so make sure to bring a blanket. The loveseats are very comfy and the selection of movies is nice. Been coming here for the past few years now.

Came here to see Hocus Pocus in October! I had never seen the movie before so it was nice to have the opportunity to watch it on a bigger screen. Since the venue is in the Manchester Grand Hyatt, there's plenty of parking in their structure. From there you go through the main lobby to find the rooftop floor. The signs clearly direct you where to go which is super helpful. Once we got the rooftop, you check in and have so many options before the film. They give you your headsets and direct you to where you can sit. The aesthetic is so cute!! Plenty of places to take fun pictures. They have cornhole and other games set up to play. They have a concessions stand with popcorn and candy and then another area with a bar and some yummy appetizer dishes! My friend and I got the nachos, popcorn and candy to share. Everything was really good and the whole experience was so fun! I also loved the movie and it was perfect for a little festive activity! It can get a little chilly so might bring a blanket next time but can't wait to see a movie here soon!

I have no complaints! A perfect escape from life! Everything was aesthetically pleasing and the views of the city is as pretty as a picture. If you're tired of the regular movie theater experience, this is definitely a perfect alternate.

Very romantic place for a date . It does get very chilly so bring your own blanket or rent one for $14. Our movie package came w/ our tickets & popcorn included which was lovely. They have a bar with a variety of delicious drinks. Overall 10/10 would recommend.

I came here for a Big Brother Big Sister event. My Little and I had such a great time! There were lots of food and drink options, comfy seats, cute photo opps, and cool headsets. We also loved all the games that were provided while waiting for the movie (lawn sized jenga, shuffleboard, corn hole). They are located on the fourth floor. Once you get onto the courtyard, you'll see a basketball court, then the concession stand area with dining seats, them the screen and movie seats. I wish there was more signage to find where it was located. It took my Little and I three tries to finally get it right lol. We spoke with other Bigs/Littles and they did the same thing as us. Aside from pricey food and difficulties finding the correct spot, we had a blast and will definitely come again!

I've been wanting to check out this cinema ever since I discovered this as an option. And even though I've been attending movie theatres masked, I think this is a great theatre for those who still choose to be covid cautious as it is completely open air. What: I came here with my boyfriend's nephews and his mom to catch an afternoon showing of "Monster's University" (even though on the schedule it said "Monster's Inc). Where: This is located near the tennis court on the... 4th floor (if I remember correctly) of the hotel. I imagine night time showings are much more popular due to it being a great spot for date night. When we went it was mostly empty. Food: They have an area/booth to order food, and another booth to order snacks and exchange your movie tickets for wristbands and popcorn (if you ordered that with your ticket). Quality: The headphones had really great noise cancelling because when we tried to call out to his nephews as they were getting restless, they didn't turn around. The audio is great, fairly balanced and easy to turn on and adjust the volume. I heard that they also upgraded the screen so now the screen is super crisp. Towards the end my ears got a bit hot (they always have issues with over the ear headphones) so I had to "air" my ears out occasionally here and there before putting them back on. Price: Compared to the price of a movie at any other theatre, it is more expensive, so keep that in mind, especially considering they play older movies here. For a regular movie goer (or rather, used to), it is not something I would want to do every week, but for the special occasion, it is a very worthy theatre to go check out especially if you are looking for a new experience. There are different pricing tiers depending on what chair you get, whether or not you're in the middle or the side, etc. Don't wait last minute to purchase as I've seen many movies on the schedule sell out if there is a specific movie you're looking to catch here. Parking: It seems like it can be hit or miss trying to find parking here and then getting it validated. My boyfriend and I chose to take the trolley down to avoid the hassle of trying to find a place to park and dealing with downtown traffic. Other: I didn't mind the movie mixup since I hadn't caught "Monster's University", so it was completely new to me. There are a couple "Instagram-worthy" spots near the entrance or "lobby", as well as games for kids to occupy themselves with. It's a really nice set up and gives a nice vibe. Negatives: The only negative I had was that it is tough being stuck in that same degree of back position of the chairs for that long, but I was able to deal with it despite my back getting a bit tired.

came here to see a film yesterday. This was easily the best movie experience I've ever had. The view is gorgeous, the screen is large, and the food/drinks are amazing. the seats are also super comfy! I'm so shocked I've never heard of this place before yesterday. The movie selections they have is so good! I can't wait to come back and see another movie! :) price is amazing - just be ready to look for Parking or pay for valet.

BEAUTIFUL venue and the perfect spot for a date night! located on the 4th floor of the grand hyatt in downtown, this rooftop cinema has a bar, concessions, board games, food, and the cutest setup for a movie under the stars. the benches are great for seating a family, couple, or friends! popcorn and candy are available at concessions for about $5 each and the bar has so many choices. I played some board games provided by the venue before the movie started while the sun went down, and we had a great time. the movie volume was spot on, screen quality was great, and an overall wonderful experience. my only comment is that it might have been nice to add subtitles to the screen. and, additional pillows because the backs of the benches aren't adjustable, so it can be a difficult angle to view the screen depending on how close you're sitting.

Complete waste of money and, more importantly, time. Ridiculously expensive, low quality screen for an outdoor venue, and very cold. And this place is just a makeshift venue on top of a parking garage! ....next to trash that is stored on the roof!!!! Spend your time elsewhere!

I thought this place was absolutely adorable! They have a great set up and some really adorable photo op spots set up. They have 2 concession kiosks. One with actual food and cocktails and one with snacks, popcorn and candy. Your ticket includes a bag of popcorn. They give you wireless headphones for the movie, which is a nice touch. It is highly recommended to bring a blanket because it cools off quickly.

Bought tickets online and your website says "kids welcome" (my daughter is 16). After arriving at the venue noticed sign that says "Adults 18+ Only." Put the age restriction as a banner on your website and not hidden at the bottom as your guy working there condescendingly pointed out. Nowhere on the tickets nor order confirmation does it state an age restriction.
