Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa

We recently had an amazing experience of both the hotel and spa. From the moment we stepped over the threshold to checking out our experience was faultless. Ellie was so welcoming at reception. Our room was spotless with great attention to detail proper milk in the fridge with our coffee tea bags! The spa was perfect with great friendly staff. My luxury facial with Keren was amazing. Keren gave me some great tips on application of facial products. The evening meal was really good again with excellent attention to detail. Dan was really welcoming. If you want a relaxing luxury spa break this is the place for you!

Lovely hotel with lots of character, charm and heart. Visited for a few days as part of a conference. The food is delicious and the service attentive and warm. The on site spa is worth the visit. I enjoyed my treatment with Carol who, along with the rest of the spa team was friendly, welcoming and skilled at making me feel relaxed. Thank you to all the wonderful team at Rookery Hall and Spa.

I have just returned from a lovely 1 night break with my friend. What an absolutely fabulous hotel Rookery Hall is. The service from start to finish is nothing short of amazing. We started with a Christmas afternoon tea which was to die for. The carrot cake from their in house pastry chef was the best I have ever tasted !!! Moving onto a lovely afternoon wreath making with the lovely Roxanne from silk and wild - this is now going to be a really tradition for me. Again amazing experience hosted by Rookery. And the spa WOW, special mention to Nicola who I had treatments with. So calming and welcoming. Moving lastly to the chefs 5 course taster with Bollinger upgrade, WOW WOW WOW if you want quality food and service this is the one ! I need to get hold of some of the Chomondley Estate Butter - sensational! Thankyou everyone who made the stay so special you should be proud of the team You have at Rookery. Perfect stay with a friendly team and an eye for details to always make you feel welcome. Great if you're looking for a little countryside break. Food is really good also. Special mention to Andrea who is exceptional as always!

Stay and room was amazing, staff cannot do enough for you! Chefs taster menu was incredible. Eva and Gemma in the Spa are fantastic and made sure we had the best time!

The Rookery Spa Hotel is a genuinely lovely place, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The spa facilities are the real standout and pool were spotless, well-maintained, and offered the perfect environment for pure relaxation. The surroundings are beautiful, and the entire atmosphere feels tranquil and luxurious. Our room was also incredibly comfortable, and housekeeping did an excellent job. ​The staff were all very pleasant and welcoming, especially the reception team. The food was delicious and high quality, the service very good and nothing too much trouble ​Overall, it's a fantastic hotel and spa experience that I would highly recommend We would absolutely return.

My wife and I recently stayed here, and we were both blown away by the exceptional level of service. Every member of the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable experience. We also visited the spa for a massage, and Gemma did an outstanding job — we highly recommend her. We’ll most certainly be returning in the future! 😊

I have been going to this hotel for over 10 years now. It has always been exceptional. From the warm welcome of the staff to the facilities. The spa break is money well spent, staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms are outstanding. Latest visit somehow has topped the previous visits, so relaxing. Highly recommended for a fantastic stay.

Beautiful grounds and exterior, but most rooms are nothing special (I've stayed in several of them at this point, all subtly different). Big issues? 1) There's no air conditioning (that'd be unforgivable in the U.S. but is more common in the UK, especially in historic buildings). Still, I have one window that opens and a small oscillating fan as consolation - thankfully it's not massively hot in the UK, even in mid-July, but it is humid, which makes things unpleasant. Still had to sleep with a screenless window open (one of two windows was screwed shut), but the bugs were actually not too bad. 2) There's acceptable included wifi and ethernet cords (didn't try this), but limited outlets for your computer and phone. My room literally has one usable outlet (with a travel adapter, of course). The nightstand lamps appear to utilize a different kind of plug that my universal adapter doesn't accommodate. Very annoying if you're here for business reasons, especially when the one usable outlet by the desk is being used for the small fan I mentioned in Item 2. Oh, the humidity! 3) Room service/bar food is undistinguished. The fish cakes are solid, as is the pasta, but like many British establishments, they murderously overcook beef and burgers. Dining in the restaurant is a fair bit better. Bar does have upwards of 30 kinds of gin, however, and a good selection of other spirits and beers. Again, the surrounding grounds are the draw here, and possibly the spa, which I admittedly haven't sampled.

Headed to this hotel for a meeting with work. The hotel grounds are lovely with views from the hotel into the countryside and green fields. The rooms themselves are pleasant, equipped with tea, coffee and a mini bar split into new and old rooms due to the old and new wings of the hotel. The lunch time food offered a good variety of food - carby, but this may of been what we selected as a company. Breakfast was really good with hot and cold foods, little jam/honey pots and brilliant tea! Dinner was a little bit disappointing we were served steak which was tough and over cooked and chips which seemed as though they had been under the head lamps too long! Not sure if this was because we were large party but nevertheless it shouldn't have been served that way! I had seen steak been taken to a small table earlier on in the evening and it was gorgeous and pink. Overall a nice place but wouldn't recommend the steak if you are a large party!
