Between the dim lighting and the soulful live music, it’s easily the most atmospheric cocktail bar in the East Village. The menu is a thoughtful curation of forgotten cocktails and vintage cocktails, proving that classic cocktails, when executed with this much precision, are truly timeless. The Drinks We spent the evening exploring two standouts that perfectly showcased the bar’s range: - El Diablo: My choice was a refreshing, bubbly delight. The Los Siete Misterios Doba Yej provided a smoky foundation, while the crème de cassis and ginger beer added a bright, acidic zing with a subtle, creeping spice. - Bijou: My partner opted for this herbal masterpiece. It was beautifully "botanicalized" with Tanqueray gin, Cocchi vermouth, and Green Chartreuse. The orange bitters made it incredibly aromatized and complex—a must for fans of spirit-forward drinks. The Vibe There is something genuinely magical about listening to jazz in such a compact, intentional space. Room 207 isn't just a place for a drink; it’s a sanctuary for anyone who appreciates high-quality spirits and the timeless allure of a hidden East Village gem.

Honestly?? one of the best bars I’ve ever been to (budget-wise) I didn’t expect much since it seemed to be a newly opened place but mann did it exceed my expectation. Love the expresso martini and the high ball. Im not sure if it was just my imagination but the bees knees with Brooklyn honey had a slightly fishy taste on the first sip, which I didn’t enjoy as much but overall, it was ABSOLUTELY a nice experience. The employees were super friendly and attentive. Here are the drinks menu in case anyone wants to check it out before coming here since I didn’t find myself beforehand. Definitely coming back here!

My friends and I didn’t have a plan for Christmas, but we saw they were still taking reservations and decided to check it out with no expectations. The food was honestly amazing, and the service was top-notch. All the servers were super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. We ended up staying until closing because we lost track of time having such a good time. Highly recommend the highball, espresso martini, and the humble potato (not in pictures) ! Definitely coming back again as this could easily become our new favorite spot, and we might even turn into regulars.

An excellent addition to East Village, with reimagined classics. I loved the Bee’s Knees made with local honey, Old Fashioned & Flip cocktail. So delightful on the palate! The interior is crimson and sultry - you can easily get lost in the moment & forget about time here. We sure did. 🫶🏼

Fantastic new spot on East Village! Fantastic cocktails and the food was excellent. I tried the shishito peppers which had a soy glaze but the humble potato is something I’ll come back for over and over. My favorite cocktail was the bees knees (made with local NY honey for the win). Next time I’ll try the Enigma menu and live music on the weekends! Perfect classy vibe, can’t wait to come again!

Room 207 is a gem,Fantastic spot with a beautiful, cozy ambience and stylish interiors. The food is delicious and well-prepared, and the cocktails are perfectly balanced and creative. Service is warm, attentive, and professional. Overall, a great place for a relaxed evening or date night—highly recommended.

Found this place while looking through Bars that open on Christmas on "Resy" and 100% happy that I did. Honestly, such a GREAT experience to get to know this place before it gets viral on Instagram or Tiktok videos. I felt the authenticity and genuine service tonight from very Friendly and Attentive Servers and Bartenders unlike Influencers' Recommended Bars. My friends and I tried to order almost everything from the menu but my favorites have to be Espresso Martini and Highball. Will definitely go back again to try other drinks!

Coming to this speakeasy felt like time traveling back to the 1920's! The classic cocktails are made with such care and detail,truly fantastic. My favorite part was the delicious the food menu items. We had the lamb skewers and the plate of dips, and everything was bursting with flavor in every bite. Lastly, the service was impeccable! They made sure my drink stayed chilled by bringing a fresh cold glass! Now that's attention to service. My partner and I had an incredible time at Room 207 and we're bringing more people next time we visit! Thanks for a memorable experience!
