Room Mate Collection Mia, Rome Colosseum

Bottom line - we truly enjoyed our stay at Room Mate Collection Mia during our Rome trip. The location is incredible; just steps from the Colosseum, but still quiet enough to relax. The rooms appear somewhat modern, very clean, and surprisingly spacious for central Rome, with really comfortable beds and great attention to detail throughout the design. There was also a small gym downstairs that was decent. As far as breakfast - it was sufficient. I’d say about average overall, but enough to get your fill before starting your day. As far as service: very warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Staff were helpful with recommendations and made everything easy. The guy bartending downstairs was super friendly, I sadly forgot his name - but cheers to him. A perfect base for exploring the city. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, and I really appreciated the little card in the room signed by the person who cleaned it, a nice personal touch. Overall the hotel is fine and the service is good. However, I didn’t sleep well. The mattress sinks in and felt uncomfortable. Also, if you stay on the 3rd floor, keep in mind there’s a restaurant above on the 4th floor, and the sound insulation isn’t great, so I could hear people and chairs moving. The location also wasn’t ideal for me. It’s close to the Colosseum, but besides that there isn’t much, and I had to travel to the center every day. Next time I’d choose something closer to the Spanish Steps. In general it’s an average stay, I probably wouldn’t stay here again.

One of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The hotel is truly wonderful, the staff is extremely attentive and very courteous, and the room is incredible, with every type of amenity you could expect. Every time I returned from a tour, it was spotless and perfectly organized. Congratulations!

We stayed here for two nights before joining a cruise in Civitavecchia. The colosseum was our primary site to visit so the location was perfect and a prime factor in our choice. A busy area but the hotel was in a quiet street just a short walk away from the colosseum. We were celebrating an anniversary and the bottle of wine and note were a lovely touch - thank you. ||For a city centre, the room was a good size - the high ceilings helped it feel spacious - and the decor was modern and in good order. Loved the artwork over the bed! |Bed was huge and extremely comfy - best sleep for a long time. Bathroom well fitted out and clean and it was nice to soak in the bath after a days walking. Water pressure was good and always hot water.||We had breakfast which was ample - good selection of juice, fruit, cereal, pastries etc.||We ate in the restaurant both nights - lovely setting on the terrace. Small menu choice but we couldn't fault the food quality and service. Sea bass served up at the table was lovely. Maybe a bit pricey but on a par with similar other places in a tourist city centre so what we were expecting.||Reception staff very friendly - arrived early so they took in our cases and they were in our room on our return. Cold fresh water in reception was nice on a hot day. ||To summarise we were very pleased with our hotel choice and would certainly return here if we come back to Rome and would recommend to others without hesitation. It made a great start to our holiday, thank you.

We had a wonderful stay. The rooms were spacious and immaculately clean, and the service was excellent—especially at reception. Fabio gave us a very warm welcome on our first day and was incredibly kind. Katia was efficient, helpful, and consistently pleasant throughout our stay, which made a real difference.

Very nice rooms. Breakfast is good. Room on the 4th floor was too noisy, because next to the restaurant: during the afternoon (singer) at night until 1 am (people singing in the hallway) and in the morning people going to breakfast. Receptionist was not understanding and a bite rude ('oh. There was a wedding last night', without any apologies) when mentioning a preference for silence and a good night of sleep in a **** hotel. So, best avoid rooms near the restaurant.

The hotel's location is very close to the Colosseum, making sightseeing extremely convenient. The staff were very welcoming and happy to assist guests with booking attraction tickets and arranging taxis. The hotel breakfast was very plentiful, with a wide variety of food, and the environment was clean and comfortable. If I ever travel to Rome again, I will definitely stay at this hotel again. 😊

Rome Mate Collection Mia was recommended by a Roman friend of a friend. Kattia at the front desk was very welcoming when we arrived after a long flight from the U.S. Kattia patiently answered questions about navigating Rome during our stay. The hotel is just a few blocks from the Colosseum. When we checked in and Kattia checked our ID, she noticed that my friend's birthday was the next day. When we returned to the hotel after a long day of sight-seeing on my friend's birthday, we found a nice bottle of wine in our room. Our hotel room was quiet and comfortable with all the thoughtful amenities. Breakfast was delicious with a large selection and an attentive staff, including Guila. I would definitely recommend staying here!
