The hotel itself is quite nice — great location, clean and modern rooms, and a really pleasant rooftop area. Once we were finally checked in, the stay itself was comfortable overall.
Unfortunately, the experience leading up to check-in was very frustrating and stressful. A week before arrival, I was notified that my card couldn’t be charged (it had expired). That’s not an issue in itself — this happens — but unlike most hotels, I wasn’t given a payment link to easily update my details. I was told to contact the hotel directly.
I emailed multiple times and received no response for several days. When I finally heard back, I was told a payment link would be sent, but it never arrived. The next day, my reservation was cancelled without further notice. At that point, I had no choice but to rebook the room myself at a higher price just to make sure we had somewhere to stay.
When we arrived, I had to ask multiple times for the original rate to be honored. Eventually it was, but the process took over 45 minutes at the front desk. The staff member was polite, but either overwhelmed or very slow, and the whole check-in process felt unnecessarily complicated after an already stressful lead-up.
One small but disappointing detail: one of the towels in the room was visibly and heavily stained when we arrived, which was surprising given how clean everything else was.
It’s a shame, because the hotel itself has a lot going for it — good location, comfortable rooms, and nice amenities — but the poor communication and check-in experience really took away from what should have been an easy, enjoyable stay.
