3 of the 4 meals purchased people would recommend. The chicken pasta, brisket burger, and Philly cheesesteak were delicious. The dish that would NOT be recommended would be the fish and chips. The breading was burned, dropping with oil, and the fish had little flavor even with the dipping sauce. It got to the point where I could only stomach eating 1 of the 3 pieces due to the oil dripping off my hands. Service was good.

Google
First time here and we won’t be back. The cream of spinach soup was good but the blackened salmon sandwich was so bland - the most flavorful part was the greens. I opened it up and there was nothing seasoned nor blackened about the salmon. Service was fine but not a selling point.

Roosters always knows how to impress with their special menus, and the Hahne Fest menu is no exception! Available throughout October, this Oktoberfest-inspired lineup is a must-try. We sampled every dish and can confidently say you should too—they all complement each other perfectly! Don’t miss out on the featured beer as well. They are featuring one beer from this menu at each of the Roosters locations (25th street, B Street, and The Coop in Layton.) The kölsch beer featured at Roosters 25th Street was not overly hoppy, it was light and bright and the perfect pairing with the meal.

Google
Both food and beer were really good. Had to go back the next night for round two of their starter "What a Crock". Might go again tomorrow. Ask for Vanessa for the perfect bar tender.

I lived in Ogden during college when Rosters first opened. This visit was a great memory of why I really like this place. Service was excellent and the food was good, it actually looked and tasted prepared vs heated up frozen food that offs being served everywhere else. I had the 3 tacos, fish, carne asada and shrimp. They were really fresh and delicious, the tomatillo sauce was flavorful and the tacos had substantial meat on them. My daughter had a Philly steak sandwich that she really enjoyed and my girlfriend had the Turkey enchiladas had great flavor, the sauce was especially good. The beer selection on tap is minimal for a brewery, but good beer nonetheless. The Nasty fries were excellent, they’re a bit thicker and beer breaded with a great crunch, texture and flavor, the three dipping sauces were good too. We’ll go there again next time in town. Parking was outrageous. The lot next to the building charges a minimum of $13 to park for 2 hours. I’d suggest finding other parking beforehand.

Our son lived in Logan a few years ago and we were traveling with friends through Utah and asked for a dinner suggestion from him while we were in Ogden..he suggested Roosters and it was outstanding! Great service and our food was so delicious. Hannah was our waitress and she was so very pleasant. My husband and I got the the shrimp florentine pasta..so delicious!

Google
Very original food and great service. The cheese curds (not pictured here) are some of the best I’ve had.

Google
Erin was so awesome. Completely redeemed our first experience with the bartender. I had no idea Utah had so many rules on serving alcohol. We had a family of 10x and Erin crushed it! Fast, engaging and interactive. My wife and I both agreed that she was the best waitress we’ve ever had. Every meal was on point and the crafted beers were great too. Thanks

Kyley S.

Yelp
Awesome food. Wife had Mac and Cheese and added Chicken Friend had the Mac and Cheese and added Brisket. I had fish and chips with fries (not naughty style). The food was fantastic. The drinks were delicious. I had a Kolsch which was seasonal. Friend got the Lavender Gin Fizz. There was no fizz just glitter but it was also very tasty. Definitely a great place to eat and the beer was delicious!

Yelp
Two of us arrived at 5:00PM on a Saturday and there were plenty of open tables. By the time we left the lobby was full of people waiting to be seated. Justifiable as the food and service we received was outstanding. The Pepper Jack Enchilada was incredible. Nice presentation, wonderful flavor, and served hot. Kelsey was our server and told me my menu selection was one of her favorites and I now know why. Her service was outstanding and, even though the restaurant was getting busy, she did not make us feel rushed to finish and leave so they could turn the table. Easy to give Roosters a 5 star rating for food, service, and ambiance.

Erica A.

Yelp
Myself, friends and family love their food. HOWEVER, my diet requires I don't consume alcohol. Myself and all my girlfriends went to Roosters last month. All my girls ordered margaritas on the rocks. So did I. Except, I didn't get one. Ya'll know the plan, order drinks, take a hand selfie- cheersing to the end of a long week, check in at roosters on social media with hashtags. Promote local, awesome locations to take a night off of cooking, etc... Except no. The waitress said they weren't allowed to make any sort of virgin drinks there from the bar. That's ridiculous and unheard of. So there I was, awkwardly now saying "water is fine". No group photo, No check in on socials to promote them and now, instead of one customer who will never go back, it's me and ALL OF MINE. Kick rocks, Roosters.

Yelp
The food was really good! I enjoy it a lot!! The service was so kind, and the ambiance was comforting. I enjoyed this place :-)

Yelp
Food and service qualities went down drastically. The server did not write down for our orders, tho each of us had side menus. I ordered creamy vinaigrette for my salad dressing and she brought ranch and we couldn't grab her for the next 10 min, so we had to ask someone else. We had no ketchup for the fries, so we had to grab ourselves. She forgot to bring butter for the bread.. we had to ask her again. She did not bring pens for checks... the bartender grabbed them for us.. she totally forgot our appetizer order- and never brought it up or mentioned. Wth. Never coming back. Oh, burgers were missing lettuce and when we asked her for lettuce, she said it doesn't come with lettuce.. and menu said it does. Burger patty was so dry- the onion was not a whole slice but it's just 0.5mm tiny sad piece lol nope- not coming back.

Cooper C.

Yelp
The food is very flavorful and tastes like they use quality ingredients. The bread pudding is perfection. I got the Spicy Italian Sausage Penne which was good but not as spicy as advertised and I don't have a high tolerance for spice. The What a Crock artichoke, spinach dip is really good. The naughty fries were good and the brussel sprouts were good. The dips those two appetizers are served with really make them special. The pepperjack mac and cheese was just the way I like mac and cheese- elevated. Service was good. The hostess seemed perturbed that we had a large party without a reservation but we weren't upset to wait or split up so there was really no reason for her to be bothered that we decided to grab dinner here as a spur of the moment thing. Ambiance was okay. They only have one family bathroom.

Rudy M.

Yelp
Hi Kim - Thanks for your reply, but my goodness I've got to ask you to list your training methods to help your crew recognize if there's going to be an issue with the consumption of alcohol? Seems like it's a training issue. Let me help offer why... We hadn't had anything to drink prior to entering your lousy business. We also had my 2 grand daughters with us. We didn't even utilize your restrooms, we joked with the initial server / host that your team stuck us in the kiddie corner and she replied no that's not true, we placed you in the party area. That's your server! One adult has been dry all year as a personal goal to focus on his career and family and his wife is nursing so maybe one drink. The remaining 3 adults are 55+. We were there to enjoy a meal with a friend that we hadn't seen in 20 years and to enjoy a meal with my son's family. So thanks to your team we were blessed with doing so at another restaurant. Who wants to spend money on food with a biz that tells you "we just can't" to why you're not serving us alcohol. So again, pls provide your training steps on what your crew looks for? Perhaps this is more of a "local" hangout spot? I've served our Country in the United States Navy and have traveled much of the U.S. and also a lot of the world as a Serviceman, business and personal trips. I've never felt that type of discrimination, and trust me I've dealt with it before. Perhaps train your staff to answer the question honestly in the future rather than a snooty "we just can't" response. By chance do you work there? Maybe you were our actual server who refused us alcohol? In doing my research you kind of resemble her. Seems to me your crew doesn't know what they're doing or maybe they simply didn't like how we looked? Because our energy and behavior was nothing but positive and fun going. We thought that's the energy a brewery offers. We never realized we stepped into a library!!

Andreo G.

Yelp
Hannah is the hardest working waitress EVER! Hustles and bustles up and down the stairs like a star. She needs a raise please I hope she sees this, thank you so much for being so nice to my family!

Cameron K.

Yelp
Come here once in a while, food is typically always good, but the service is typically always horrid. Got Venessa as a waitress and she acted like she was doing our party a favor every time we asked for simple things like ketchup, or syrup, she was pretty rude. Took an hour to get our food and another hour til we got our checks. Wouldn't recommend.

Annalise B.

Yelp
We love coming to Roosters. It's our go to spot when we have guests in town and everyone always enjoys it. I love their naughty fries and brussel sprouts. We enjoy having a beer out on the patio during the summer and like the upstairs seating in the winter. Would always recommend Roosters!

Mitch H.

Yelp
If you're not sure what you want or everyone can't decide on what they want, Roosters is a great place to go. The food is delicious and the menu has a good variety of items without being overwhelming. Plus a fantastic drink menu. The service is quick and the staff is friendly and helpful. In the winter, the greenhouse is a unique spot to eat. Always an easy place to recommend! Great vibe!

Gene M.

Yelp
Sunday brunch w mimosa and Bloody Mary with smoked turkey club and carne asada scramble! Always like sitting upstairs, nice view of 25th street and a fun atmosphere. Bloody Mary went back to the bar, was a glass of tomato juice with more pepper than you can imagine a lemon a lime and an olive... hard no. Got the chocolate stout, a favorite here I highly recommend! Jausey was a fantastic server, very friendly and stayed right on top of everything at our table!

Woods L.

Yelp
This is one of my kid's favorite places. They cater to kids very well. They have a variety of drinks that are not at your typical restaurant. They have indoor and outdoor seating, which is nice. It's in an old building that they renovated, so it has some history there. I love seeing old buildings.

Deb D.

Yelp
The cheesesteak is the bomb here. Not into craft beers. Fast and friendly service. Will definately have it again.

John T.

Yelp
The service was fantastic tonight. Our group had 6 people and were actively getting drinks, apps and entrées. I had the capellini with the soup. The corn soup was light with potatoes onions and celery. There was not much to be desired in the cup. The capellini was not good. The dish really didn't come together or have taste. The sauce was a mix of light olive oil and water. I would not recommend either. The steak, salmon and tacos which the other diners in my group had looked delicious and they all said great things about their food. The deserts were decent with the mouse cake being the highlight, it was moist and yummy. The bread pudding and the chocolate turtle cheese cake were very dry. Overall the service was fantastic, I just picked the worst of the lot. I would try again but go with the steak a salad or different food. I'll be back and hopefully update this review.

Cassandra G.

Yelp
So delicious, wonderful service, and a great vibe. We had the nachos, tacos, and salmon wraps and all were great portions and unique flavors. Our waiter had such a fun personality and great recommendations, thanks Aaron!

MG N.

Yelp
Frequented the 25th street location for various Farewell lunches and dinners. Once you get passed the young girls at the front counter the rest of the staff is very friendly. Those in the front have attitude, a lack of knowledge on the restaurant offerings, and/or just don't want to be there and don't care if you know it. Front staffers don't realize that they are the face of the company. If they fail to welcome people into the establishment, they are giving a bad impression of what management stands for when representing the brand. If I were the owner, I wouldn't appreciate losing business because of such poor representation. I beg the management to address the staff in the front about their lack of customer service and to have them check their attitudes outside the establishment. The young Latin girl who has been their twice when we have come with a large group has been the worst. Otherwise, once you get to interact with your servers, they are great!

Marion B.

Yelp
Waitress was friendly. I had nachos and they were cold and soggy. She never came back to ask us how our meal was. For $15 I will never go back or recommend Roosters to anyone. And by the way there was only three other people eating.

Vicki S.

Yelp
Good beer but way too hot in the enclosed patio area today. They left the gas fireplace on too long.

Missy M.

Yelp
Ambiance is great out on the shaded patio. I've been dining at Roosters for 20+ years. The food has gone way downhill. Lunch today the salmon was overcooked and dry, broccoli was undercooked and hard. Roosters and their blackened salmon used to be a favorite, but I won't try it again at over $30 for lunch.

Sean M.

Yelp
Solid Variety of tasty food at this Ogden Staple! This is a popular spot for those who've lived in Ogden a while as it's been around for a long time and has always done good food and beer. I hadn't been since I was a kid and was impressed to bring a coworker recently and see some really good menu options followed by some tasty food! I opted for the Ahi salad, which was very good and I've heard good things about their tacos and a few of the entrees I didn't try this time. Portions were good, price was right, and service was good as well. Nothing over the top, but very good, and I would recommend Roosters for anyone looking to try Ogden grub!

Chett P.

Yelp
Staff is helpful and attentive. Recommend the fish and chips or margarita pizza. Burgers are always juicy and flavorful. Clean and welcoming.

Marian A.

Yelp
Food was amazing! Service could use some help, appetizer was forgotten until our food came out which stunk. The waitress was horrible about hovering and constantly interrupting. Normally issues with waitresses is them ignoring you so this was odd being the complete opposite. Food really was on point though.

Parker D.

Yelp
In town for 2 weeks on business and this place was fantastic. We ate here 3 times and everything we tried was top notch. The Fish & Chips was some of the best I've ever had. Roosters Mac & Chese was also phenomenal.

Holly A.

Yelp
Stopped in after work and this might be a new favorite place. They have a decent menu and daily specials. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich and French fries. The Strawberry pale ale is a must have and you will know why once the hint of strawberry hits you pallet and there is this explosion of fresh strawberry flavor goodness. So good... The patio seating was awesome. Spacious and set up for social distancing. What really stood out to me was the service and knowledge of beer selections and the extensive logo items they offer for sale. Plenty of parking on the street and in their parking lot. And YES I bought a growler to go of the Strawberry IPA. Can't wait to go back.

Seton T.

Yelp
Have no problem at this time is it in the tree of the house Flipper cheat code or a new one edition of

Ian D.

Yelp
Good service, good food. I always hit a restaurant or two while in the Ogden area and this one hasn't ever disappointed me.

Matthew C.

Yelp
First of all make sure when you are meeting someone that you designate whether you are meeting at the brewery on B street or the restaurant. I screwed that up and went to the brewery by mistake. I will say it is a very cool spot until you realize you are in the wrong spot. I hustled over to meet my nephew at the restaurant. This was our first time here as I was in from out of town and he came down from Logan. I will comment on the beer first I really like the Blood Orange IPA. It is a winner. I thought the food was ok. I had the gorgonzola burger. It was decent. Fries were good and piled high on the plate. The service was good and the space was nice. It is worth a visit.

Joshua B.

Yelp
The spot is very cool spot downtown on 25th Street. There burgers are good and fry's are even better! But the most unique was the pepper Jack enchiladas, the meat is Turkey and has a great combo with the salsa, beans and rice. Beer was tasty. Having said that for the size of the portions I do feel like it is pretty expensive. The enchiladas were halved and are pretty good portions but that's about it.

Richard O.

Yelp
Great burgers and better fries Great service too. Loved the decor (exposed brick walls).

Denisse R.

Yelp
I just order 3 tacos to go. (2fish 1 shrimp) They didn't had any cheese nor pico!! Sadly I found out until I got home. I just eat cabbage and fish! You guys are ridiculous! Who made that plate and thought it was ok? Also the fish and shrimp didn't taste good at all! Seriously, I don't know who freaking cook that. Worst experience ever. I've been to the on in Layton, a totally different story.

Chrissy N.

Yelp
You better try to get a seat at the bar if you don't want to wait over an hr! But the beer is good, the food is SOOOO delicious! I love how they give you tapas options! It's perfect for girls who need to eat but don't want a full meal bc you're about to drink beer haha ! The bar servers were absolutely terrible at customer service (we went before a Garth brooks concert) but it's good enough in a time crunch! Good beer too! Love Elephino!

Cindy R.

Yelp
Roosters is great! They accommodated our group of 16 for dinner on a Saturday. Our server, Tyler, was awesome. We had come in from doing a Spartan race at Snowbasin and we were all hangry and he handled us well and was absolutely fantastic. We ordered many things from the menu and everyone was quite pleased with their food. The inside of the restaurant is a lot bigger than it look from the outside. I highly recommend eating here if you're in town!

Don P.

Yelp
Ate there on Sunday and the menu and bar selections were very limited. Cheese steak was good but had more bread than steak (by far).

Barbara B.

Yelp
3 strikes and we're out! Went for lunch and order drinks and sandwiches. First the drink order got messed up, okay, it happens. Then the food order gets messed up, we ordered the blackened salmon sandwich with fries and they brought a salmon entree with potatoes and veggies with a side of fries! After bringing the old plain piece of salmon out on a roll, instead of a new blackened piece, the server told us the manager had credited us for the price difference between the sandwich and entree. We in turn asked about the side of fries which come with the sandwich and we were told it had been deducted but we were charged $18.25 for a $14.00 meal. The final straw came when we asked to have the check modified to reflect the true order and were left waiting an additional 15 minutes for the new check to arrive. It never did. We had to go ask the girl at the front desk to please allow us to pay our tab so we could leave. Three strikes and we're outta here and won't be coming back!

Dave W.

Yelp
A local favorite for sure to Ogden people! Along with the great location the menu is excellent and the staff is well rounded to provide a great experience. Dinner tonight came with outdoor seating, great view of people walking the sidewalk. Some really tasty nachos and the pepper jack cheese enchiladas. Hope you enjoy as we did.

Bob D.

Yelp
I enjoyed working for this company. Kym and Pete are phenomenal people and pillars of 25th street and Ogden in general. Unfortunately the higher management staff is not in step with their core values. From the general manager claiming to give kitchen bonuses but instead pocketing the money. To two managers drinking to the point of blackout prior to their shifts. They are tyrants and appalling self righteous individuals. They threaten staff constantly with termination and disciplinary actions while they themselves get drunk, steal, and do hard drugs while handling money and day to day operations. They manipulate liquor counts and forge write up slips to cover their own self serving needs. I would work for Kym and Pete in a heartbeat. As for their three top leaders of this location. I'd rather not. Ty. Darbie. And Elle. Three people who should never be given authority. Not even over a portapotty.

Rolen Y.

Yelp
I've been coming here occasionally ever since it opened and it's still one of the best places to eat. The food is consistently good and the servers are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I live in another city so I don't get into downtown Ogden often but when I'm here I make an effort to eat at Roosters. Their beer menu has great diversity so there is always something for everyone. I recommend if you're in the area it's worth stopping here.

Katie J.

Yelp
Love this place!! They make the best "Heavenly Rootbeer". They have delicious pasta dishes as well as Mexican entrees and American entrees. Their taco salad is one of my favorites!

Lenee' J.

Yelp
It looks like they're in the middle of remodeling however it didn't affect the menu or the service... I had the grilled tuna salad with a wasabi ranch and it was amazing!! Great place for client meetings!!

Alex F.

Yelp
We stopped in here for a working lunch, almost at random. Turned out to be a really nice spot. Surprising to see a full bar and beer sales going strong at noon on a Monday. Not able to sample the beer but had a great lunch. I tried the buffalo (bison) burger which came with something called farm cheese and fries. Perfectly prepared. Only slightly overcooked but still had a red center. The fries were exceptional. All for $13. The benefit of not having beer I guess :-). Good option for lunch (or dinner) in Ogden.

Harmony M.

Yelp
Quarantine Diaries! I have been supporting tons of local restaurants during the past 2.5 months and here are my reviews! Great place to pop by for a quick drink. They were closed for dine in when I went but you can still pick up some cans for the road! Parking is easy to find in Ogden on a slow day. Busy days I would recommend a garage or finding any open street parking. Can't wait to visit when it's all back to "normal."

Jason B.

Yelp
2 stars.... Walk into a bar to try their micro brew...then try tell me I have to order food(immediately after I ordered a beer?!? I'm not from here, so this was a shock to me...I thought I was in America! I understand the policy isn't theirs, but you should let patrons know. She knew I was from out of state when I asked to sample a beer as she said "in Utah we can't legally let anyone taste a beer, you have to pay $.50". Ordered the chocolate stout...meh. Lacked the roasted malty character I expect, and if you use chocolate in the name it better have some hints...disappointed again. Reluctantly ordered the southwest salad with salmon. Good portion, greens and veggies good, salmon was a bit dry and over cooked(and lacked blackened seasoning flavor. Strike three..I'm out! Ambiance is dated saloon, prices are in line with area(but above quality) and service was sub par in my opinion. This joint doesn't make the list, and next time I'm in town I'll take my business elsewhere.

Emma T.

Yelp
Hit up the patio seating if it's open - so cute! We ordered just appetizers here with a pitcher of their pale ale. Cheese curds were delicious that comes with two dipping sauces. Since we were their for brunch we went for the Kailua waffles. They were tasty but probably won't order again. They did have French Toast so I'll likely try that next time I'm in the neighborhood. Service was great!

Janelle W.

Yelp
Came here with 11 people to celebrate my nephew's graduation from Weber State. We were accommodated at our reservation time. Friendly and fast service and food so tasty I forgot to take a picture:). Very fun vibe and experience

Kim S.

Yelp
The food was really good. Unfortunately the service was really slow. If you have time it's a great choice.

Ally F.

Yelp
Mediocre food, ok service but way overpriced to drink their beer. You will pay $6 per beer to drink their beer brewed on site. To go is $3.05 per can, $9 per can for the same beer aluminum can and all, to have a beer with dinner. We will not be returning! There are so many other options that are not so overpriced. And, honestly, the beer isn't all that good. Go elsewhere!

Jason P.

Yelp
This place has been in my lists of places to try when I made it above Salt Lake City. I finally had a chance to give them a try. The wait wasn't terrible for Sunday brunch. The place had a cool vibe, the staff was friendly and attentive. I ordered some tacos, carne asada and fish with rice and beans. I was pleasantly surprised how good it was. There was so many things I wanted to try, and will have to come back again.

Jace W.

Yelp
I use to work here and honestly I could never live up to any of the other servers! They are literally amazing at what they do! I am so greatly blessed to have worked with such amazing people.
