Roots Bamboo Beach Resort

Stayed here in February of 25. This was my second trip to Negril. Rooms and grounds are very nice and well kept. AC worked great. The housekeepers were great, close to some of the best breakfast spots on 7 mile beach. They do have loud concerts a couple nights a week but it didn’t bother us. Will stay again! Thanks, Roots!

June 20 2025 this hotel was perfect room was great the bar and beach was perfect I have no complaints the staff was great i will be back. The live band stage shows was amazing they have it every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This will be where I will stay going forward everything I go to Jamaica 🇯🇲. Thanks rootsbamboo 🥰

We booked the top view Seahorse suite over 8 nights in March for our anniversary. |there are not enough words to describe the absolute awe of the this place!! |The views are breathtaking no matter the time of day, or where you stand inside or on the balconies. |It can't be more private steps from the beach. |The kitchen is very nice and has a kettle, cutlery and dishes with a beautiful stove and fridge big enough to stock if you want to cook during your stay. Though i recommend the onsite restaurant. The Roots omelette is SO good. |The bed is gloriously huge and comfortable. The bathroom is amazing and, if you leave the door open you can look at the ocean while in the shower.| It is premier romance. |The room is steps from the water and a few more to the restaurant and stage. |Three nights a week there amazing musicians playing right outside the balcony-- though its a way better experience on the beach with a cold beer! |The beach is next level. |There is more space than other places we passed along the beach during our daily walks and the view of the sunsets couldn't be better. We never felt crowded or bothered by anyone. |The staff is so kind and helpful, we were not disappointed in the property, the service, or have any safety concerns. |If you need anything, just ask, even a drive to the store or bank machine. you'll be taken care of, or pointed in the right direction. |Even the vendors set up outside the restaurant are so kind and helpful. |We met a number of people who are repeat guests and they always had nothing but great experiences and love for their 'home away from home". |We didn't finish our trip before speaking with Opia and booking to get married at Roots Bamboo in 2026!!! |We had the best, most relaxing holiday of our lives and can't wait to begin our next chapter in this beautiful location.

We was shown three rooms and we choose the smallest room as per our needs. The room and bathroom was clean, there was a fridge/freezer in the room as a tv. |Staff was great as well as the manager Opia who all went out of their way to make us feel welcome and answered any questions we had.|Breakfast in the morning was excellent, a variety to choose from.|Entertainment in the evening was great just next door so did not have to go far.||Would recommend and would stay again.

BEWARE AND STAY AWAY We did a tour of resort and I must say it is beautiful. The rooms are so clean and updated. But resort and restaurant isn't owned by the same person Charged 1800j for 2 shots and converting it to $30.00 us and argued about it. I paid it because I didn't want to argue with the bar staff RESTAURANT IS DIFFERENT OWNER Now the below 1 star has to be the restaurant. Very slow service, 20 minutes to get a coffee. Sitting and waiting 15 minutes and leaving another time because server didn't come to table these two Occurrences happened on April 17th and 18th 2025 during breakfast when we were the only ones in there. Now on a positive note we did enjoy my breakfast on April 14th when actually the server served us and she was very friendly, food took alittle time to come but I think restaurant is alittle walk from dinning room which is understandable. 5 stars to waitress on the 14th Terisha was amazing. To bad she wasn't working every day Been coming to Jamaica for 10 years and this is the worst experience I ever had

I cant say enough about this place!!!! We stayed 18 days and we felt so safe and comfortable. The owners Opia and Jerry are the best, very accommodating friendly and professional. The staff were great friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful, filled with everything we needed and we used a lot of things cooking every day etc... They have a restaurant too and the food is Amazing with a large variety. My daughter has allergies so they prepared food with only the ingredients she could eat which was so amazing!!!! Alex, one of the chefs was there every morning to make me fresh coffee and what ever else I needed. All of the servers very polite and ready to get you what ever it is you need. House keeping is on it and very thorough. If you want a safe comfortable family run trip this place is the place to be. Ill be back as soon as I can. I would give it 10 stars if I could. Oh and if you like reggae music they have live entertainment too.

This place is shady as hell. My Ordered = lots of ice 1 shot of vodka and water My husband's order = Same as above What we got = 1 shot of vodka Half cup of tap water Ice was melted by the time she handed back our cups Total = $30.00 dollars America. Very sad they did that because we would of spent more money there. I don't mind paying and I always tip but your not going to Double the price Won't be going back there again.... !!!! WOW !!!

I’ve stayed at Roots Bamboo 3 years in row and I love it! First of all I feel like I’m staying with GOOD family when I’m there. The owners really make you feel so welcome when you arrive. They’re so helpful and go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. I arrived the day before Hurricane Beryl and the owners left their homes in another Parish to ride out the storm with their guests. The staff members are fantastic and they remember you by name. Some have worked together for a long time so the camaraderie is genuine and fun. The rooms are clean and lack nothing. You’re less than 30 seconds from the beach no matter which room you stay in. There’s live music playing 3 times a week so everything you want is right at your finger tips. It’s better than staying at an all-inclusive because you get the real Jamaican experience. We stayed at RIU in 2022 but came running down to Roots just to hang out at the beach in the day and great music in the night time. I came back for 25 days in 2023 and the entire month of July in 2024! Roots Bamboo has my heart- not just because it’s the best piece of real estate on 7 Mile but also because the Management team and the staff really give you a great customer experience! They also have a bar and a restaurant with great food if you ever just to treat yourself to a day at the beach! Tell Ms. Denise ‘Sharon says Hi!’ I just love Her and once you check into her resort you’ll know why too!
