Roots Bamboo Beach Resort

If you want to experience the true Jamaican experience do yourself a favor and stay at this family owned resort. Support local and you will experience feeling like you are part of their family as you have the time of your life. This is a little slice of heaven . Everything was perfect from accommodations, customer service, food, vibe.. Ive traveled all over Jamaica but this is by far my favorite place in the world.

Great Customer service. Friendly and caring Staff. Beautiful Beachfront access. Clean environment. Beautifully decorated rooms, comfortable accommodations. Live Music. Real Island feel to this resort.

Stayed here in February of 25. This was my second trip to Negril. Rooms and grounds are very nice and well kept. AC worked great. The housekeepers were great, close to some of the best breakfast spots on 7 mile beach. They do have loud concerts a couple nights a week but it didn’t bother us. Will stay again! Thanks, Roots!

I stayed here for five days in August during low season and I loved it! There were more locals than tourist around so I had my resort’s beach area to myself mostly. I spent most days laying under a bamboo hut. Reggae concerts three nights a week and two nights next door. Lovely relaxing crowed just there to enjoy themselves. Drink prices at the bar are “tourist” price but great drinks. The red stripes beer for $3 was great! I’d reccomend you exchange for Jamaican dollars ahead of time before getting to Negril. The exchange rate at the hotel was terrible. It should have been 160 to 1 US dollars but they were giving more like 120 My only issue was the additional package of $150 for a round trip drive from the airport. The driver picked me up as planned but when we got to the hotel the front desk reception said it would $100 each due to a “glitch” at booking. I refused and it was negotiated down to $80 one way. I took the Knutsford Bus back for $15. You can book passage at the airport to Negril one in the morning and one late afternoon. DONT GET THE ROUNDTRIP ADD ON ITS A SCAM.

We was shown three rooms and we choose the smallest room as per our needs. The room and bathroom was clean, there was a fridge/freezer in the room as a tv. |Staff was great as well as the manager Opia who all went out of their way to make us feel welcome and answered any questions we had.|Breakfast in the morning was excellent, a variety to choose from.|Entertainment in the evening was great just next door so did not have to go far.||Would recommend and would stay again.

I cant say enough about this place!!!! We stayed 18 days and we felt so safe and comfortable. The owners Opia and Jerry are the best, very accommodating friendly and professional. The staff were great friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful, filled with everything we needed and we used a lot of things cooking every day etc... They have a restaurant too and the food is Amazing with a large variety. My daughter has allergies so they prepared food with only the ingredients she could eat which was so amazing!!!! Alex, one of the chefs was there every morning to make me fresh coffee and what ever else I needed. All of the servers very polite and ready to get you what ever it is you need. House keeping is on it and very thorough. If you want a safe comfortable family run trip this place is the place to be. Ill be back as soon as I can. I would give it 10 stars if I could. Oh and if you like reggae music they have live entertainment too.
