Rorke's Drift Hotel

We had the most amazing stay in May 2023. Roz and Shane were fantastic hosts. The food and scenery were fantastic. We, and the kids, felt at home and we had a fabulous day out with local guide Pat. I cannot fault anything and will definitely be back !!!!

Really excellent effort. Very accommodating. Personal touches by owner - photography of surrounding scenery and historical sites. Incredible views! Aesthetically unique and interesting. Usually we self cater because of dietary needs (allergies/vegan) but the gentlemen running it (Paul) went beyond duty to accommodate. Was the best reaction to the entire food topic ever!

We had lunch here following visits to the Rorkes Drift and Isandlwana battle sites. Not able to rate the rooms as didn't stay there. Superbly situated overlooking the Buffalo river with easy access to the battle site of Rorkes Drift. Food and service were first class and good value for money considering the location.

Had a lovely lunch there. Nice location overlooking the River. Well worth a visit.

What a place!! Wonderful views and Charles and Paul are really special gentlemen. Very atmospheric due to the history. An absolute must is to pay Paul to do his isandlwana and rorkes drift tour. All based on true history and not the movie Zulu!! Another must is a walk from the lodge to to the Buffalo river. A very special place.

Our group had a delicious buffet style lunch at the beautiful restaurant at Rorkes Drift Hotel. Wonderful view from the deck of the river and surrounds. Great services. Highly recommended

We arrived to a beautiful setting which is falling apart. For the hectic price of over R10 000 for 3 nights this place is not worth it . The food is of mediocre standard, those behind the table don’t even know what they serving you. The room we stayed in, the springs of the bed are coming through 😂😂 the taps in the bathroom you have to hold down to try and open them , everything is loose or broken. The walls are so thin you can hear everything that is going on around you. We have stayed in better 2 star hotels that have 5 star standards. Personally I think this place just rips off the tourists because of the battle field history around it.

Had a breakfast there during "loadshedding" 17th December while passing through.. wow. What a stunning view, venue and food supplied.
