On the Grid : Brüsseler

"Try this and experience the probably purest taste of chicken in the area. This meal will make you smack your lips every time you remember it! Provided by a local and biological farmer from *Eifel,* which is about an hour away by car, there’s nothing left you could carp about. This place looks and indeed was once the typical *Kölsch-Kneipe,* which it is still transformed to on football evenings. Brüsseler got its patronage from the place that’s been there before, but you wouldn’t guess it: the football equipment is hidden behind lovely new interiors. The imposing, church-like windows decorate the room (and hide the TV’s when there’s no champions league and stuff), while the rest stays 'urig' (a german word that would be a combination of rustic and cozy) and still welcoming with a lot of wooden materials and dimmed light from beautifully picked designer-like lamps. Apart from Kölsch you could also order a recommendation of Brüsselers Gin variations in the late evening or try one of their fresh, homemade salads with your next chicken – they serve them in cute glasses. Will definitely convince you, we’re visiting Brüsseler mostly two times a week for lunch…" - Elastique.

Cute spot in the Belgian Quarter. Bio chicken is excellent, perfectly seasoned and moist with great dipping sauces. Service is friendly. Tip: they only accept cash.

Good place to hangout with friends with indoor and outdoor seating. Banana cake was yummy. Response to your comment: I also had grilled chicken which was not tasty and it was very dry.As I support new endeavours, I didn't mention the bad part in my previous comment, but just appreciated you guys. Anyways I have increased the rating with the hope you guys will work on the feedbacks provided! All the best.

It's a beautiful bar, but I was there on saturday, it was quite busy and you had only one employ for many tables. I think it was pretty unfair, and it would be better for you to have more employs during busy hours and treat them better, they don't deserve to have such a stressful working conditions.

Great place for a quick bite, enjoyed the sandwich very much, have recreated it and been eating it home in America on two occasions. Love it! Great memory to keep maintained after being in Köln.

The bartender was so rude to us, he made us feel small. We paid up, left and spent our money at the next place, and gave that guy a big tip for being nice to us. Skip this and go to Low Budget around the corner, they are actually nice there (and it’s a great bar).
