Ok this is for the actual restaurant but there’s not actually a page for it. Either hotel or beer garden 🤔 But the restaurant (inside) deserves this. OMG. The food was absolutely AMAZING. And we’re talking every little detail. The garlic bread was light fresh as, thick with a hint of salt which made it taste great. Chef knows flavour. The calamari 😮 Beautiful pieces of calamari that was cooked to perfection so well you could have thought it was fish the way it just melted. The batter was also very unique, never had that before. Chicken parmi was awesome. Thick, smoky taste again every single detail. Guinness pie was definitely not a generic pie, thick gravy, chunky tender beef in the perfectly balanced pastry. I can’t remember having a meal soooooooo good for ages. Instant massive impression. Well done 😃 Service was friendly and efficient too. Would loved to of tried deserts but was completely 🐷 by that stage. Definitely recommend Definitely be back

Was there New Year’s Eve for a 7pm booking, we were late, but that was fine. It was very busy and the waitress told us it would be a 45 minute wait for food, which was fine. We probably only waited 30 minutes though. The food was really nice, the atmosphere in the garden was nice, such a nice area. The reason we left and didn’t stay longer was the young lady singing. She was not a good singer and it was not pleasant to sit there and have to listen to her, other than that, perfect.

This is the 3rd year that our family has celebrates New years Day at the Rose & Crown. The staff are just lovely and they know how to provide great service. They are happy to be serving you which makes a bring difference, dress smart in a dining setting., and they know what food they are serving, the portion sizes are good.. We always bring our own NY cake as it's a Greek tradition, They are very careful handling and storing the special cake. The food is consistently good. See you again next year.

We ate there last night for my daughters birthday. I would say of the 7 of us that had dinner not one of us was overly impressed by our meals. The steak and Ale pie was dry. The fish and chips eaten by a few was ok but not great. We ate off the bar menu. The setting was lovely and nothing wrong with the service but yeah the food has made me not want to come again especially for the prices charged. $34 for the pie that was dry, served with chips and not enough gravy to help moisten the meal in any way. Very little vegetables except some sweet potato shards which added nothing to the meal. Most certainly won't be back. Very disappointed as was everyone else.

Rose and Crown for lunch today. Such a beautiful setting. Our host Tanya was amazing 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟for her service. The food was amazing, so fresh and tasty!! The "Dirty Potatoes" deserve a special mention..... A potato dish that should be mentioned in the bible. The flavour and texture of this dish, is superb. Don't go changing "Rose and Crown"!

Only here for a quick bite in the outside garden area but… the menu and atmosphere were great. Plenty of menu options and reasonably priced as today’s prices go. 🙄 My dirty potatoes were very tasty and the “toppings” went all the way through. Which is a rarity these days. Well done kitchen staff! The staff are really friendly and service was quick considering it’s a Saturday afternoon close to Christmas. All-in-all, a really lovely spot to spend a summer’s afternoon. Well done Rose and Crown! ⭐️

Came for Christmas lunch and it was lovely from the bread rolls right through to the delicious mousse cake, which was absolutely delightful. Service was fantastic all the waitstaff were lovely, smiling and helpful. Costing for same was more than reasonable and we will be back next year. It is our favourite place to eat in the area too. Well done Rose & Crown another successful event.

We came on for a lovely dinner in the inside seating area. Disappointing to see the lovely lamb dish wasn’t on the menu but the pork and beef & Guinness pie didn’t disappoint.the pork was a bit dry without creakling but still do beautiful. The staff were super friendly and didn’t miss a bet. We will be back

Yelp
The beer garden had a really good atmosphere, live music and friendly staff. Food was prompt, and parking was plentiful. If your up near Guildford this should be the first place on your list.
