Rose & Crown Hotel

8th December 2024 - We found this beautiful historical location upon googling for the oldest hotel in Perth. Even driving the nearby streets to find this pub was beautiful in landscape. We only had a few drinks here but it was worth it as the ambience of the place was very relaxing and comfortable and if we didn't have a flight to catch, we could've settled here for a little while. Hopefully one day we can return for a meal as the plates passing us by looked incredible.

Probably by far my favourite hotel within Perth metro area for its historical charm and secluded location. Despite being around for over a century, all the facilities were updated and modern without losing its olden day touch. The restaurant also serves amazing foods and give option for both casual or a la carte dining (both worth trying). It’s also walking distance to the surrounding cafes, museums and antique stores, making sightseeing easy and convenient. Ghost enthusiasts like me might also find its history a pull to stay/dine here (ask for their haunted cellar at the restaurant). All in all, I’ve had memorable experiences every time I visited this place.

It was a warm day so we had our lunch indoors. The room was busy but enjoyable. The service and staff were great, and the food was amazing. Most importantly, the beers were cold. Always enjoy going to the Rose & Crown.

We visited the R & C with friends. The service was outstanding. From booking and changing our booking to the wait staff it was a great experience. Our friend, a Canadian, said the Tortallini was the best meal he had ever had. A silky, soft and flavoursome meal. Portions were great too. Thank you.

Went with hubby and met friends for lunch on a Friday. Top service and very friendly staff. The food was excellent. My friend was so in love with his gnocchi and said it surpassed another pub that he thought was THE BEST gnocchi. Hubby had a devine massive steak sandwich no chance of a taste for me. Steak generous and perfectly cooked. I had the poke bowl which was fresh and delicious. My other friend had the bug brioche which was filled with delicious bugs. Food envy for everyone!

Have been to lunch and dinner here many many times. Had my husbands wake here. My brother in laws wake. My sons homecoming and never, ever had any complaints about food or service. I am very particular with my food and the food here has always been first class. As for the price. I went to an Italian Restaurant recently and could not eat the steak. Couldn't even cut it and it was very expensive. The bill for three people was ridiculous. At the Rose and Crown I paid the bill for seven people including wine and it was cheaper than the Italian Restaurant I was talking about. All my family and friends will always go back. No questions. Thank Rose and Crown.

We’ve not had a bad experience yet! Staff are great. They seem to keep their staff which bodes well for customers. Food is consistently good. Prices are fair and servings good. We thoroughly enjoyed, again, a lovely Sunday lunchtime. 👍

Spending the day in the Swan Valley and took the opportunity to visit the Rose & Crown for lunch. We hadn't booked and it being so close to Christmas we didn't hold out hope but they accommodated us. Food was good, service was wonderful. Glad we were recommended to go here. Will come again. For mains, only saw one option for vegetarians but that may have been due to the season.

The beer garden had a really good atmosphere, live music and friendly staff. Food was prompt, and parking was plentiful. If your up near Guildford this should be the first place on your list.
