"About 30 minutes from the heart of downtown, you can rest your head in a field of flowers. Well, almost. This three-bed, two-bathroom Airbnb is run by Karri Rose, owner of the Norwalk, Iowa, boutique flower farm where the residence is located. The entire idyllic, peaceful property is magazine-worthy; in fact Rose Farm has graced several of our sister brands’ covers. The on-site Airbnb is just as gorgeous. The name is a sweet tribute to Karri’s late mother-in-law, and the amenities are one of a kind, including a basket to collect eggs from the coop and vases that you can fill with flowers you can harvest from steps away." - Karla Walsh Karla Walsh Karla Walsh is a freelance writer based in Des Moines, Iowa. We can on a Sunday evening and it was wonderful. We met the owners and they were so welcoming and hospitable to us, eager to help us in any way! They had nice, relaxing music playing on the speakers which helped set the mood as you were walking around or picking flowers. They had some chairs around which made it nice to sit, relax, and enjoy the view. We also brought a picnic blanket and some food to eat which made it all the more enjoyable. Would definitely go again!

Rose Farm is an absolute gem, and tonight's Fall Festival epitomizes the enchantment it offers. With live music, pumpkin painting, delectable charcuterie, and enticing cocktails, it's a sensory delight. The backdrop of a picturesque sunset, the lush garden, and the serene path along the pond make it a truly unforgettable experience.

TLDR: beautiful, bees, FOUR CATS <3 Location: This place was pretty hard to find, and it does feel like you're driving to the wrong area because you must use gravel roads prior to reaching the destination. Landscape: The landscape was very pretty. The roses were not in full bloom, but still beautiful. I did feel like there could have been more, but it still was nice. I was there for a wedding, and it was very thoughtful to have the bride walk through the rose farm as part of the isle. There is not much shade outside at the farm, so if it is a hot day, you should definitely wear sunscreen and maybe a hat. Despite the roses not being in full bloom, there were many bees around the area. I was there with my sister (for the wedding), and she was stung on her arm. I suggest wearing long sleeves. Amenities: There is only one bathroom. For many guests, this is quite annoying because it creates a pretty long line. The Shoppe does have air conditioning, though, which is nice. Inside the Shoppe are souvenirs to purchase, as well as some drinks. When I was there, only Diet Coke was available, which is an interesting selection. The other choices were alcohol. Other: There are roaming cats on the land, and they are all very friendly. There was one cat that was a brown (?) tabby with dark lining around their mouth. I think she was pregnant because her belly looked quite full. She was very sweet and liked pets. There was another longer haired grey, orange, and white calico cat. This cat was also quite sweet, but they had many ridges and scabs (?) on their back. This was both uncomfortable for petting and moderately concerning. It may have juts been age, though. I also found one fat black and white cat, but I did not pet them. And my favorite cat, another tabby, was very short and round with a terrible meow. 10/10 cuteness, though. This cat was very soft and talkative, and he loved being pet. I definitely recommend the location, and I would suggest to bring cat treats (or allergy pills).

This place is a little slice of heaven. As a photographer, it's hands down one of my favorite locations to host family sessions. Of course there's the greenhouse (that they style in unique ways for each season) which is beautiful and magic in and of itself. But there's countless more areas to utilize! There's fields of flowers with rows for your families to meander through, backlit treelines and rolling hills. And as a mom and someone who always loves exploring new things in Iowa, I love getting out here any chance I get. Between the workshops and Santa visits and their shop with the best, unique little gifts, I can't say just how much I adore the Rose Farm and the hospitality of Karri + Patrick. I am so grateful the Rose family has quite literally opened up their home and their lives for the public to enjoy!

Wow! All I can say being able to use their stunning property to capture my clients was just perfection! Cannot thank Karri enough for working with me on getting all my clients moved around to different dates due to bad weather we’ve been getting! She’s been amazing + super communicative as well as super sweet! Cannot recommend this place enough for your special moments as well as all their events that they provide on their property!

The dreamiest flower farm south of Des Moines! What a blessing to have such a sweet spot for incredible experiences, from workshoppes, to farm to table dinners, to harvesting locally-grown flowers. Sunrise yoga and Farm School are can’t miss experiences. Be sure to visit during open farm hours!

Yelp
What a charming place. I had never been out here before. I went for a cooking class. There was a cute shopping area when you entered the building. The coffee that were for sale smelled delicious. I wish I had planned on being home that week, if so I would have purchased one of the beautiful flower bouquets. The woman that greeted us offered us her family lemonade, which was a family recipe (OMG! It was amazing!) I took a quick walk around the property before the cooking class. There was a chicken coup as well as chickens roaming around. A beautiful dog was hanging around outside as well a friendly cat. I definitely will come back out for another event

Yelp
This place is a little slice of heaven! The owner Karri is wonderful plus she has a whole cadre of animals that you can play with. I attended a flower arranging class where you go out into the flower fields and pick the flowers then come back to arrange your bounty all while drinking a glass or two of wine. How could that be bad, right? Karri did a great job keeping it a socially distanced event so everyone felt safe. I noticed that she has so many other events I want to attend in the future! If you get a chance I would say that it is well worth your time plus you get to support a local small business!

Yelp
Cutest place I've ever been to. Everything from the flowers to the wildlife. I definitely recommend!
