Roseanne’s Café in Oceanside is a cozy, no-frills spot that serves up solid, home-style food. The vibe is small-town friendly, and the staff fits the tone, welcoming, easygoing, and helpful without hovering. It’s the kind of place that feels like part of the neighborhood, and it’s clear a lot of locals appreciate it. I had the scallops, which were good, but not something I’d go out of my way for. Honestly, they turned out about how they would if I made them at home. We also shared a cheese and olive board, which was more of a highlight, especially the Tillamook cheese curds, which are always a hit. My wife tried the clam chowder, and while it was fine, I’d steer folks toward Werner Beef and Brew if they’re looking for a standout bowl. Desserts looked tempting, but we were too full to try them. Overall, Roseanne’s is a decent option if you’re staying nearby and want something convenient and familiar. I wouldn’t call it a destination meal, though. Next time, I’d probably make the short drive into Tillamook for more variety.

Amazing food! Our server, Kevah (unsure about spelling), was so helpful and gave us recommendations of what we should check out. You should definitely come check it out. The special was halibut cheeks and it was delicious.

We didn't have service so we decided to try this random restaurant and found a new favorite. Clam chowder better than Moe's & so is the view. Everything on the menu is done to perfection you can tell the chef and staff love their restaurant. P.s you have to get dessert!

Salmon and halibut were really tasty. Server was great, parking is an obstacle. Great view and a cozy atmosphere.

Google
Awesome little place to have a nice meal with a view. We came down from Aberdeen, WA for a night and stayed next door and decided to just eat there since it was so close. I had the best fish I have ever had in my whole 55 years on this planet, their Alaskan Halibut with parmesan crust is so tender and tasty, I could eat it every day! And my grandson was so impressed with his hot dog he made me take a pic! The service was amazing as well. We plan to make this a yearly spring break trip so we will definitely be back

Google
Easy to find as long as you can find parking. A small wait before being seated. The food was good but not great. Looks better than it actually is. The Shrimp Melt was really good. The clam chowder was different and didn’t taste like a lot of other places but it was still okay. Is was heavily seasoned. The Oyster Burger was something you won’t find in a lot of places. It was very very very rich. The strongest tasting oysters I’ve ever eaten. The texture was also very gooey in a weird way that I haven’t ever had. I still don’t know how I feel about the sandwich but it was weird good and bad all at the same time.

Google
I has been curious about this place as we’ve walked by it on numerous occasions. It was getting close to closing time so I ordered a bowl of chowder to go. I will say this, I’ve never had a spoonful of food from a place then chucked the whole thing in the garbage, ever. All we could taste was pickle in the clam chowder. I don’t hate pickles but I did order clam chowder not pickles. Maybe the dill seasoning was just heavy tasting because it had settled where they scooped it out or maybe it was just an “off” day because I feel establishments/people are not always going to be perfect every single day. I want to try them one more time, go earlier & order something different.

Really delicious clam chowder and cioppino (seafood stew)! Very nice and friendly service. Fun little spot in a beach town.

Yelp
This is a local cafe with a local vibe. Off the beaten path if the 101 a ways, don't skip on Oceanside. They are home to some of the best beaches/views. Plus the Cape Lighthouse! This cafe is all you need! Homemade desserts push it over the top! Always love stopping in when we visit Oceanside:) My only nit pick is one about cleanliness. Although I love the charm of this old inn/home/cafe. It could use a nice deep clean. Window sills, blinds, light fixtures. They all need some TLC

Yelp
Every time we visit Pacific City, Rosesanna's is our go-to spot! Located right on the beach, the views of the ocean are simply breathtaking. The cafe has a small but cozy atmosphere, and you can even find various coastal treasures for sale. The service feels like home, and you can truly taste the love in their homemade dishes. The portions are generous--enough to ensure you have leftovers for breakfast the next day! If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and check out this delightful cafe. You won't regret it!

Yelp
Great place to stop for lunch or dinner on the coast. There aren't many restaurants options in Oceanside but if there were more I'd still go to Roseanne's!! For breakfast we had the French toast and shrimp+ crab English muffin dish. French toast had fresh Marion berries which I loved. For dinner we had the Bloody Mary (which was amazing, as someone coming from Wisconsin), Tillamook burger, and the salmon special. Salmon was great, so fresh! Burger was delicious also. Clam chowder was my favorite! Service was excellent for how busy they were. Staff were charming and so welcoming. They do get busy so plan to wait or put your name in ahead. You could find parking in the beach lot or on the street, but again it gets crowded and Oceanside does not have a lot of parking.

Yelp
We were in Oceanside for our anniversary weekend. We ate at Roseanne's twice. We had lunch, ordered chowder and shared a turkey sandwich with bacon (can't remember what the name of it was). We had martinis and the Cadillac margarita. So good. We came back for dinner. My husband had the halibut sandwich and I had a house salad with salmon added, since I wasn't super hungry. The view is great, the atmosphere is casual and the wait staff are very friendly! Thank you!

Yelp
We decided to visit Roseanna's for breakfast since it was just a 20-minute walk down the beach from where we were staying. Arriving a few minutes after opening, we were the first customers to be seated. The building, though older, exuded a certain charm, and the ocean view from our window-side table was absolutely breathtaking. They even have a small garden outside the windows, adding to the picturesque scenery. Now, let's address the service. While our server was very nice, there seemed to be some issues with timing. We experienced notable delays between getting drinks, placing our order, and receiving the bill. Parties who arrived after us were served and left before us. It seemed our table was the exception, so we'll chalk it up to an isolated incident and give it another try because everything else was exceptional. On to the highlight - the food and drinks. They were nothing short of amazing. Among the four of us, we started with a cinnamon roll that was fresh, warm, and incredibly fluffy. It was the kind of cinnamon roll you dream about, soft all around with no hard edges in sight. I ordered a Bloody Mary, which came garnished with celery and green olives. It was above average with a nice kick, so good that I would have gladly ordered a second one. Our friends tried both the mocktail and cocktail versions of the Blueberry Lemonade and Lemondrop, and they loved them. Both were made with fresh fruit and were refreshingly tasty. For the main course, we had a mix of eggs, potatoes, bacon, and biscuits. I have to say, this place has some of the best bacon I've ever had. It was thick-cut, cooked to perfection, and had an incredible savory flavor. The potatoes were perfectly diced and the over-easy eggs were cooked just right, with the expected runny yolk. The consistency and quality across our meals were impressive. Kudos to the chef and the team for their outstanding work. The menu is small, but based on our experience, it's all about quality over quantity. Every dish we tried was well worth it. Despite the service hiccup, we would definitely come back to enjoy the fantastic food and the unbeatable ocean view. Roseanna's is a hidden gem that's worth a visit.

Yelp
Food is pretty good, doesn't taste fresh but cheap enough for small town pricing. Small place so everyone is sorta right next to each other so having a group of teenagers might have annoyed other patrons. They're well behaved, just not having whispered conversations. Service was attentive.

Yelp
Location is in a tiny Oceanside town with a view from the back windows. It's decor is lacking could use some updating. The foods was surprisingly very good. Clam chowder, chocolate caramel cake & the Crab cakes were amazing!

Yelp
This is a must-stop whenever we are in the area. Today we arrived at 11:15 and had to choose between the breakfast or lunch menu. We opted for lunch. They have a nice cocktail menu and I opted for a cranberry mimosa. Then selected the High Tide grilled turkey sandwich. Perfectly grilled bread, crispy bacon and just the right amount of mayo for the turkey. I do wish they offered house-made chips instead of standard chips. The Hubbs had the halibut sandwich and it was cooked perfectly. They let him have a taste of the clam chowder - but the clams were too subtle for his taste. Then we shared the Marionberry cobbler ala mode! Divine! The service was top notch - the people here are really nice. And loved seating by the windows with a beautiful view of the ocean. An excellent stop!

Yelp
What a cute lil place for breakfast by the sea. Delicious crab cakes, bennedict and an amazing marionberry French toast. Service was solid. They have a little gift shop up front and they seemed to be dog friendly as there was a very friendly four legged cutie pie having breakfast with his pawrents

Yelp
Delicious Sunday breakfast @ Roseanna's Cafe in Oceanside, OR. !! Friendly and prompt service by local, longtime staff. Restaurant was clean and inviting with gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean. Great location, short walk (hop & a skip) to the beach! Crab Cake Benedict was very enjoyable. Fresh crab and tasty hollandaise sauce. Regular Eggs Benedict was good, but they used thin lunch meat ham, instead of steak ham, which was a little disappointing. Seasoned potatoes that came with both, were outstanding. Coffee and Latte were great. The only discrepancy we had was with the bill, I'm glad I noticed we were almost overcharged. Still Pricey breakfast for 2 at the corrected total of $56+ before tip.

Yelp
Nice staff, great ocean views and great food! The Halibut sandwich was so fresh and tasty I almost ordered another one! Clam chowder was good as was the crab cake. Marionberry crumble was perfect for sharing. We just stumbled across this place but would definitely recommend it.

Yelp
Update to my previous review: I dinned in for dinner the other night as my family wanted to eat here, it being one of the few restaurants open on a Monday. I was pleasantly impressed with my experience. Our server took wonderful care of us. For my dinner I ordered the small baguette along with the cheese and olive board. The baguette was absolutely amazing, i suggest asking for a side of their local honey to add onto it. The cheese and olive board was also super delicious and had a variety of Brie, cheddar curds, pepper jack and Gouda: all of my favorites! I also ordered a margarita and I thought it was delicious. Can't wait to come back for dinner again in the future. Glad I gave you all another try!

Yelp
This is a really cute cafe. They have coffee, boozy drinks, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We stopped in here before we could check in to our room at the Three Arch Inn. I got the bloody mary...YUMMMMM. For breakfast the next day we got their biscuits and homemade gravy and the marionberry frenchtoast with a side of bacon. Them bacon kinda thick lol. But let me tell you, the portions for the french toast were big. I could only eat half. I'm not usually a sweets person for breakfast and these french toast wasn't anything unique, for some reason, I think this trip made me like marionberry so when I saw this on the menu, I just had to get it. The marionberry was really good, I think it probably elevated the french toast. One downfall about the place when we came in for breakfast was that service was very slow. But at least my friends were there to keep good company and we had the view of the ocean.

Yelp
Very weird experience... My wife and I decided to stop at Roseanne's Oceanside cafe before catching the sunset on the beach. We looked at all of the reviews around Tillamook and decided to give this spot a try based on reviews and recommendations. We were immediately greeted and offered a middle table. I requested that we sit by the window and felt like the server was irritated by it stating "we will get it cleaned and then you can sit there. Go back to the front and wait." Another server ended up cleaning the table and seated us. It's a smaller restaurant, but you definitely want a seat by the windows for the view! As for the food... I don't have raving reviews. The only good part of our meal was the ranch dressing with our salad and baguette. My wife ordered the salmon and I opted for the kids grilled cheese, which was still pretty rough. My wife's salmon had absolutely zero flavor even thought it had seasoning rubbed all over it. Not sure where the seasoning went. She also ordered the clam chowder, which had probably two small pieces of clam. The kids grilled cheese was supposed to have Tillamook cheese, but it had NO flavor at all. We paid $75 for our meal and were very disappointed.

Yelp
We had four different seafood/fish entrees and they were well prepared. Sides were a simple baked potato and salad, desserts and cocktails were a notch above the usual and desserts seemed house made. Great service and casual vibe. Extra culinary points for having actual good food in addition to the fried stuff, as well as highly convenient location.
google avatar

Annie O.

Yelp
We had an incredible brunch here! I love French toast but usually it's so sweet I can only have the first slice or two. This one was crusted with hazelnuts and covered in a marionberry compote, which balanced the sweetness of the French toast. My spouse's eggs Benedict was also wonderful! The service was prompt and kind! The views were beautiful and the art on display was lovely. Would recommend!

Yelp
Great little spot with great view and amazing seafood. Don't miss the chowder. We had crab cakes and halibut everything was fresh and delicious. Save room for dessert...cobbler was Ocean views. great service
google avatar

Rachel T.

Yelp
We got takeout--it was great! Fast service, server was nice. I would bet they get fantastic views at sunset.
google avatar

Savanna S.

Yelp
The service is great, but the food is not it. I don't understand how this place has such good reviews. The ocean views has to be the only reason. I ordered the scallops, very overpriced for the quality. The "salad" was just lettuce with hidden valley ranch. The clam chowder and the wine was the best part!
google avatar

Jessie P.

Yelp
Always delicious. Beautiful views of the Pacific. I love their dessert selection! They do a bustling take-out business and they have a limited number of tables so Roseannas is always hopping. You may have to wait a few minutes for a table.

Yelp
We stopped in on a rainy Thursday. Couldn't check into our Vacasa until 4pm, so we wanted to kill time somewhere close. Roseanna's wasn't bad at'tol. The staff was pretty chill (initially, I wasn't sure if they were patrons or employees, but we were greeted... which is a good start). I got a cup of clam chowder and my boyfriend got the salad. No complaints on the clam chowder. It was chocked full of clam. Creamy and delicious, and came with oyster crackers. My boyfriend's salad was HUGE. He got two glasses of wine to my ridiculously sweet margarita (holy store bought sour mix, Batman!!!). The view: FABULOUS. I'd totally go back. I wasn't expecting any culinary marvel or anything. Definitely, a solid place to enjoy a glass of wine and the view of the weather isn't cooperating.

Kellen G.

Yelp
All their food will fill your belly and soothe your hunger, but their Cioppino feeds the soul.

Sherry H.

Yelp
Food tasty. Servings plentiful. Wait staff attentive. View gorgeous. Enjoyed our meal.

Yelp
Gosh! We loved our dinner at Roseanna's. Cozy space with beautiful views, sweet waitress, delicious meal and amazing homemade desserts! *And really good music

Beth W.

Yelp
Must have changed hands. The food wasn't as good, nor were the desserts. Not the usual food that we have enjoyed, however, we haven't been there since 2016, but prior to that, we went quite often

John T.

Yelp
Fresh local fish prepared very well, tasty roasted potatoes and crisp fresh salads, along with delicious desserts

Yelp
Gem of a cafe in Oceanside--this is likely a five star diner if I had repeated visits here to verify. Sadly, I rarely come to the Oregon coast but my grand recent stay will perhaps change that. Our service was friendly, efficient and well paced. Our salads and chowder were outstanding. Of course beer and wine for a weekend lunch are always a good thing. And the view--come here for that, if nothing else. I'll be back when I'm in the area.
google avatar

Rae C.

Yelp
This place is amazing. On the coast for the weekend and have already been twice. From Seattle to San Francisco, this is hands down the best clam chowder - which my husband and I ordered both times we've been! Every bite has large chunks of clams and the flavor is just spot on! Also got the crab cake entree and sautéed scallop entree- both were great. The scallops were cooked to perfection. My husband also got the crab cocktail which was so fresh and delicious. And even though both times we order our meals to go since we have our pups, everything was still top notch out of a to-go bag!
google avatar

Jackie D.

Yelp
This place is absolutely adorable! Family owned and only restaurant in town, they've got a prime location on the water. They accommodated a group of 6 of us at closing and still took care of us like we were there when they opened, truly appreciated that. Lacy is amazing! It's a smaller space and can get a little busy, esp being the only place in town, so be prepared to possibly wait. They've got a small counter area to hang and wait or if the weather is nice, grab some wine and stare at the ocean (oh darn) The crab cakes were so good we went back for them the following day. They're crab yall! No filler, no shells, pure love and crab. Like mostly everything in the restaurant however. If you're in town for a visit this is def a must stop place and be sure to ask for Lacey!

Larry G.

Yelp
A gem. Very high quality food in a sublimely beautiful location with outstanding service. The crab cakes, oysters and Halibut were all fantastic. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Amy W.

Yelp
Great view of the ocean while you eat! It's not a huge place, so you may have to wait a bit before you are seated. Meal was good and filling - recommend the salmon and the halibut. Just a side note, there is zero cell phone service here, so if you are expecting something important or if you are addicted to your phone, just be aware. Also makes it hard to post a yelp review while it's fresh in the memory...
google avatar

P W.

Yelp
Disappointed. Oysters were fresh and a great price, but wish they were in the half shell still. Decent size bowl of clam chowder which was good, nothing outstanding compared to other locations. Biggest let down was the menu called the Snug Harbor an open face on sourdough for $17. You got a $9 deli sandwich melt, half had barely anything on it (see picture), dry with no dill aioli taste at all, very little Tillamook cheese, obviously frozen bay shrimp, tiniest bit of dungeness crab we couldn't taste either. It was like a premade filling and slapped onto a toasted slice of sandwich bread. You also got a pickle spears and a large handful of bagged rippled chips, not even homemade chips. The way it was described we thought it'd be a large piece of sourdough with a good amount of aioli, gooey amounts of cheese topped with bay shrimp and visible and tasty crab, nope just a huge let down. We even showed and warned the family next to us when they thought about getting it.
google avatar

David T.

Yelp
Overlooking the ocean is a not-so-secret spot where I had some of the best crab cakes I've ever tasted in my life! Staff was super friendly and sat us to dinner even 20 minutes before closing time. Portions were generous, filling, and delectable! Their chowder had giant chunks of clam meat and could rival anything I've had on this coast. SAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT!!! I couldn't resist the dessert menu, eating one there and taking one to go. Can't go wrong here!

Yelp
My husband and I stumbled upon this place many years ago in the sleepy town, in the best possible way, of Oceanside, Oregon . The scenic beauty of the bay and houses nestled in the cliff side, took my breath away. Roseanna's is one of two restaurants, that I know of, in Oceanside. Roseanna's also happened to be the only place open at the time and we were charmed by the outside appearance and decided to try it. We both had a bowl of clam chowder and decided this place was off to a good start! Afterwards, we shared a Marionberry cobbler. We were hooked! This is the best cobbled I have ever had! From then on, every time we visit the northern part of the Oregon coast, we make a stop at Roseanna's. On our recent visit, we drove from Cannon Beach to have dinner at Roseanna's. I had the Lillie's penne pasta with prawns and scallops and my husband had the spicy garlic seafood pasta. All I can say is amazing! Again, they knocked it out of the park. Both dishes were cooked to perfection! And,of course, after dinner we had our usual marionberry cobbler. They offer so may different desserts here, but I can't seem to deviate to any of them because the marionberry is that good! This place is well worth the drive and wait! I would even be bold to say, it's one of Oregon's coast's best restaurants!

Tony C.

Yelp
We were up hiking around at the lighthouse and decided to go find somewhere to eat.. Saw the great reviews on this place and decided to give it a try. I did think it was going to be OK...but with a great view.... I was wrong...it was Fantastic with a great view and fantastic service. We had the clam chowder, salad and I had the cioppino and it was all spectacular! The waitress was delivering another table crab cakes and they looked so good we got those too!! Highly recommend!

Yelp

Yelp
Best halibut cheeks and crab cakes! They were super slammed, worth the wait, tres leches was also bomb

Yelp
Great every single time we have been there. There is always a line so waiting is not a problem as I know what am I waiting for: great food and service. ... and it is close to our neighborhood!

Yelp
Food was good, view was great, service was friendly. Desserts were delicious. Great spot to spend with your loved ones!!

Yelp
Love Roseanna's! There's a bit of a wait every time, but it's totally worth it--especially when there's a sunset. We came on a Saturday night at 6:30 and waited about 30 mins to get seated. Some must tries: - The oyster shooters - so fresh and delicious! They come pre-dressed which I personally love. - The Gorgonzola penne with scallops and prawns. Amazing flavor!! - Marionberry cobbler - that crumble! Perfect mix of sweet and tart. A must try. So thankful for this little gem of a place in quiet Oceanside!

Yelp
Service was great. I loved the fish soup. Great views of the ocean. Highly recommended.

Yelp
We are on Oregon Coast Trail Pilgrimage 2022AD. OCEAN SIDE AND Roseanna's have been anticipated! We so greatly enjoyed the view, the staff and our meal was Perf!!! They even accommodated my GF needs with the fish, leaving off the panco. Couldn't have asked for a more restful and delicious time. Thank you, B & K on the OCT HIKE THRU

Yelp
We returned to Oceanside to visit Roseanna's again last night, and I'm happy to report that my five star rating still stands. This is probably our fifth time eating at Roseanna's, since we love it so much. Whenever we find ourselves somewhere within an hour or two of Oceanside, there is likely to be a trip there to visit our favorite restaurant there. My dinner last night was a Spicy Seafood Penne Pasta dish that was absolutely incredible. After the main course, we got the marrionberry cobbler for dessert, which again, Roseanna's has hit one out of the park. What an incredible meal!
google avatar

Rose D.

Yelp
They might be the only restaurant in Oceanside open for dinner, but we lucked out because the food was amazing! We had their crab cakes to start and they were the best crab cakes we've ever had, full of big chunks of crab (we had previously thought Salty's had the best crab cakes but those are not in 2nd place status). The Hubs had the Tiger Prawns entree and the only negative was the green beans on the side were not cooked nearly enough and still a bit raw. I had their King Salmon special (the fish was perfect!) served on a huge salad full of greens, veggies & fruit served with a tasty vinaigrette. The service was okay considering how busy they were. We stopped in for an early dinner around 4:45 p.m. and they were already busy but still had a few tables open, but after a short time they were totally full and the waiting area & outside was full of people waiting for a table.
google avatar

C P.

Yelp
A lot to like about this gem. Dinner was just right and the desserts looked delicious. We had the nightly special, crab cakes, fresh and nice portions. We also tried the spicy seafood pasta and it. Can't wait to return to try their desserts which they had on display.

Yelp
Loved eating here the other day!! Beautiful ocean views and the food and service were EXCELLENT!! I had the crab melt and my husband had a halibut sandwich and we both cleaned our plates! We will definitely be coming back again!!

Yelp
This place never fails. My third time here in as many trips to the Oregon coast and the food is always amazing, the view is spectacular and the desserts are quite special. I came by for lunch on a day that luckily had a few sunny breaks but with the quixotic Oregon weather, you know that can change in minutes so took advantage of the sunshine. I had the oyster shooters, crabcakes and clam chowder for lunch which were excellent. I remember how great the Tres Leches cake was the last time I had it 4 years ago and opted for it once again. Loved it. I'd eat here everyday for a week if I could just to try out their different desserts and dishes.

Yelp
TL;DR -- miserable experience, 2-hr wait, bad service, crying, $200. Really wanted to love this place -- super cool-looking with a good-sounding menu, but...last night, we put our name on the list at 6:30; one person told us 35 minutes, another said an hour. No problem -- there's not much on this part of the coast, so we were happy to wait. We got a glass of wine and settled in...for a two hour wait. We were finally seated at 8:30, well after the 8:00 closing time (and that of every other restaurant in the area). The staff was clearly hassled that we were still there (like it was our fault?) and service was very slow, which was odd, given that the place was now empty. Our bottle of wine showed up after our appetizers, they were out of the halibut cheeks special, food was very average overall, and the whole experience was pretty disjointed. The pinnacle was when my wife's halibut sandwich showed up and it had so little fish on it that she literally cried -- there wasn't really anything else to do at that point. We spent $200 after tip and I'm pretty sure that not one of the four of us left the restaurant happy.

Yelp
Roseanna's doesn't open until 3:00 pm most days. It is one of two restaurants in Oceanside. The other closes at 2:00pm - the closed sign goes up in the window by 1:30 pm. Several people had been waiting since 1:00 for the restaurant to open. The menu at Roseanna's is posted in the window and is pricy and meals are small. I ordered a bay shrimp cocktail. The shrimp were fresh, piled on two pieces of greens with a side of cocktail sauce and a slice of lemon.
