Rosèl Amsterdam - Sandwiches & Coffee

Rosel Amsterdam is the kind of sandwich shop that sneaks up on you, and then lives rent-free in your head. I had their spicy chicken sandwich, and I still remember the taste, which says everything. Comforting, exciting, perfectly balanced heat. The homemade pickles were unreal - sharp, fresh, and easily the thing I’ll miss the most. The staff were genuinely kind, helpful, and very quick. And the coffee? So good I took a bag of their house blend all the way back to Tbilisi, Georgia… and now I regret only buying one.

We went to Amsterdam to some Christmas gifts. Got that ticked off the list and was close to DAM square. The Mrs googled and found this sandwich shop. Walked and saw the menu. Simple and straightforward. Ordered a December special and the Caponata. What a lovely experience. We were met with a smiling face and courtesy. Ordered and received our sandos and coffee under 8mins. Flavour was exploding in our mouths and the bread was crisp on the outside but so soft on the inside. If you’re doing last minute shopping and you’re in the area, give them a go!! Defs will be back for Spicy Chicken sando!! Awesome experience. Thank you

We were looking for something quick as the wife said, ‘I think I’m hungry’, which means we didn’t have long until she turns into Godzilla. We’re big foodies and wanted to give this place a shot. It looks ‘instagrammable’ like all the other places that have lines down the street. Turns out, it looks that good, and is that good. We walked out of there thinking others haven’t found this place yet; or it was already super popular and people are over it. Either way, we felt like we one. They have 4 sandwiches on their menu they execute perfectly. We got the rosel and TJ spicy chicken. Both were epic.

Just a cute little place to chill and have a tasty sandwich. I got the Rosel chef signature sandwich! Omg it was incredible!! I highly recommend. The matcha was insane - add a splash of vanilla. It was unreal. Can’t wait to visit again.

We got the spicy chicken and Rosèl sandwiches and an iced matcha latte; everything was spectacular! Some of the best sandwiches we’ve had in our lives. We walked 2 miles round trip in the rain, and it was absolutely worth the trek. So delicious!!

Delicious finger food, love a good crunchy sourdough foccacia. Staff is calling you by name which is always pretty cool. Efforts in branding and ambiance is really well done !

Rosèl is hands-down one of the best sandwich spots I have been to and I travel a lot. The food was incredibly fresh, full of flavor, and not greasy or messy at all. Everything came out quickly, and the people working there seemed genuinely happy to be doing what they do. The whole vibe was just warm and comfortable. I really respect a small, focused menu — they only have four sandwiches, which to me shows confidence and skill. Big menus usually scream identity crisis and inconsistent quality, but here every option looked like it had been perfected. I could NOT choose just one, so my friend and I split two: the Spicy Chicken and the Beef Stew. The Spicy Chicken was my friend’s favorite, and I totally get why. The chicken was super tender, the flavors balanced really well, and there was plenty of filling without being overstuffed. For anyone worried about spice — don’t be. I am from California and have a pretty high spice tolerance, so I did not find it spicy, but more about great flavor, something I find places often sacrifice when going for heat. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. The Beef Stew was my favorite. It had this rich mix of flavors, and adding the cheese made it even better — definitely worth it. Honestly, after eating here, I regretted the other sandwich place I went to the day before. I even thought about coming back before my train the next morning but unfortunately my train left too early for me to grab one to go. That’s how much I loved it. If you are in Amsterdam, go to Rosèl. You’ll be glad you did.

Amazing sandwiches. We had the Rosel and spicy chicken and both were really tasty!! Would come back here!
