"Pandemic circumstances have prodded chefs Stephanie Duong and Bruce Lee to chart a new direction for their exceptional patisserie, Roselle. “We wanted to engage and connect more with the local food scene in Southern Ontario, to work with local farms to explore what Canadian pastry and desserts can be,” Duong explains. So, she and Lee have been visiting producers. They’ve enticed some to attempt growing new things. But mostly, they’ve been using what they sample to reconceptualize the European pastries they were already making so well."

Google
Definitely one of the best pastry shops in Toronto. I’ve tried their Earl Grey and Strawberry Parfait, and I prefer the vanilla-based soft serve from the parfait over the Earl Grey. I’m not saying their Earl Grey isn’t good, but I would prefer a more pronounced taste of Earl Grey. That said, both soft serves come with an amazing texture, mouthfeel, and the perfect level of sweetness. I’ve also tried their Pistachio and Strawberry cake cups, both very nice. I appreciate that Rosella keeps their desserts in a well-balanced sweetness, allowing me to taste the different ingredients dancing together in the cup. They didn’t put cake in the pistachio one; instead, they used puff pastry. I am not a big fan of it, but I do think it’s a good choice, as it goes super well with their amazing pistachio cream. I find their Madeleine a bit dry, but I think I taste almond flour in it, which makes the taste less flat. I’ll definitely try other items from them in the future.

Google
I had the fraisier, Earl grey mousse and a slice of mango passion fruit sponge cake. They were all good but I thought overpriced for what they were. Tasted good… but not amazing. The service was nice. I’ve been there for their soft serve with strawberries sundae and it was good but, again, I found it more expensive than what I thought it was worth.

4/5 Amazing little bakery/pastry shop in Leslieville Toronto The Earl 10/10 🙌🏼 Maple Black Walnut Honey Cake 9/10 🙌🏼 Earl Grey Shortbread Cookies 10/10 🙌🏼 These are just some of the treats I tried and they were incredible 4/5 stars because of price it’s not exactly wallet friendly especially when you are ordering large quantities of treats I spent around 57$ on 6 items 🫣 Earl Grey Soft serve is what they are most known for in the summer months but everything they make is made with the best ingredients and the quality is not your typical margarine whip overly sweet kind of dessert it’s definitely worth a visit or two Their hours make it tricky for those outside of Toronto to get their hands on their products as they are only open a few days a week with limited hours and products that run out fast! I still loved my desserts I will be back for their earl grey soft serve 🍦🫖💕

Google
Roselle is an absolute gem! The owners are the sweetest people, and you can tell they put so much love and dedication into everything they make. Their treats are not only delicious but also thoughtfully crafted with seasonal ingredients, which makes each visit a delightful surprise. Their cake cups are to die for, with a perfect balance of textures and just the right amount of sweetness. I’ve tried so many flavors, and while they’re all incredible, my personal favorite is the Black Forest. My husband, on the other hand, swears by the pistachio. If you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor and go! You won’t regret it.

Google
Expect a line up, as their hours are limited and their loyal fans are many. We always try to score their handmade caramels (passion fruit is the best!) and then something special, like their current collab with David Chow (the most delicate and deliciously layered chocolate “toast”). It’s 💸💸💸 but a special treat for us.

When I told my friend I was visiting Toronto, she told me I had to try Roselle’s. Of course Toronto had a major winter storm but Roselles was still open and it was worth trudging through the snow! We got the Valentines Pavlova and Sweet heart cakes and my only complaint is after finishing both I wanted more. Definitely a must try if you have a sweet tooth or visiting Toronto and make sure you get extra to go because trust me you’re gonna want more.

Google
I’ve been visiting Roselle for over four years and this raspberry dark chocolate pavlova (Valentine’s Day special) was delightful! Whether you go for their regular menu (I recommend their cake cups!) or their seasonal and weekly specials (follow their insta to see what they’ve got!), you’re sure to find something to enjoy. Can’t recommend Roselle enough!

Google
Check out @bredgyeats on Instagram for more food posts! This raspberry pavlova is a feast for the eyes and mouth, where pure culinary indulgence comes from blending all the complimentary flavours on your tongue. It features fresh Ontario raspberries atop an airy and crisp pavlova base that's infused with a hint of Earl Grey, which conceals an smooth and fragrant vanilla bean custard that tempers the sweetness of the meringue along with the tartness of the fresh raspberries and raspberry cremeux. Luckily this dream doesn't stop there. The banana cream pie eclair plays into my weakness for banana-flavoured sweets and embellishments that harmonize with this creamy, tropical fruit. The symphonic combination of rum caramelized bananas, vanilla bean custard and whipped white chocolate ganache create an exquisitely complex bite, that fuse into one indulgent bite. Each mouthfeel is contrasted with a light and buttery eclair pastry, with a delicate crisp that conceals an airy structure underneath that has a slight chew.

Yelp
Roselle is a bakery specializing in delicious baked items like cookies, cakes and other delicious goodies. The storefront faces the street. There are two line ups - one for pre paid orders and one if you want to order then and there. Some things are daily specials so it really depends what you're looking for. We had the coconut pandas cookie - the Cooke is baked well with great texture. The cookie is crispy and the coconut pandan jelly adds a nice coconut flavor. There's a caramel that adds a sweetness to it. Would definitely try more cookies again. We also got a variety of cake cups. The nice think about cake cups is they're all moist - no dry cakes here! Pistachio honey - reminded me of a baklava - little heavy on the honey side that overpowered the pistachios but still pretty good. Not bad but was hoping for strong pistachio - 4/5. If you like baklava, you'll like this more than me. Coffee crunch - really great coffee flavor - nice and bold. The slight bitterness of the coffee really helps temper the sweetness of the other ingredients. A really good one for coffee lovers - 5/5. Chestnut - good chestnut flavor. Again this one had a good balance of sweetness with chestnut flavor. 5/5. Hojicha vanilla - a really good take on a japanese tea flavored cake. Has a really nice delicate flavor of tea with the slight bitterness tempering the sweetness . 5/5. Price: it's pricey so this isn't your everyday treat but it is amazing which will wow anyone you want to impress with flavor and display.

Yelp
Cute small business that is super busy. There is no interior to walk in so you line up outside and simple order what you want. They have limited amount of item per day and it's a first come first served. I believe you can order ahead for pick up as well which helps save time from the lineup in the cold. Their cakes are seasonal and for limited time but taste great! I love how their desserts are not too sweet. I recommend if you're in the area but I don't know if I'll go out of my way for it.

Yelp
Been wanting to try a puff cup for a while because the top looks delicious. I got the peach puff cup and it had peaches in cream, topped with a brûléed cookie (i think). For $17, the price is quite steep but the everything in the puff cup was delicious. I would definitely come back to try their other desserts as a treat
google avatar

Yelp
Soft serve is a 10/10! I've tried some of their pastries which are just okay to me, but their cake cups are delicious. My only complaint is that they are only open 3 days a week with limited hours

Yelp
Ohhhhhh so amazing ... pay the money ... whatever they want. Had The Earl and fell in love.

Yelp
Finally made it to their OG here! I have been to the West end location before but hadn't been to the little take-out window spot. After a visit to nearby Distillery District, I popped by to see what was still on sale. The one staff there was a young lady who was very enthusiastic and helpful at introducing the day's stock and selection. She was warm and bubbly on a cold afternoon. I managed to snag some goodies: earl grey shortbread cookies, oolong shortbread cookies, and a matcha chocolate cookie. All the flavours were perfect -- mildly sweet and accurate profiles. Loved them all, but especially the oolong shortbread! Will definitely return!

Yelp
This is hands down one of the best pastry shop in town I love how they put in so much love and effort into making every single piece of dessert and pastry They have seasonal cakes like very very chocolate and very very vanilla, and they do not use any artificial colouring nor flavour, which adds so many layers of flavours to their desserts I'm normally never a fan of banana desserts as they're mostly made with artificial flavours, but Roselle changed my mind! Their banana elevators are to died for! They used run steeped bananas in it and bring out natural sweeteners and fragrance They're such a gem in the city and I highly recommend checking out their instagram before the weekend so you know exactly what cakes and desserts they're offering ( they rotate some items weekly) and be sure to go there early as popular items tend to sell out and they only open 3-4 hours from Friday to Sunday!

Yelp
This family run French bakery is just awesome! I don't get to it enough but when I do, it is a real treat. They have seasonal specials but I love their basic or lemon Madelines, and their eclairs. Service is fast, they aren't open every day tho. Friendly, cute, clean, and fresh vibe.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing and intricately delicious! Favourite items are the pavlova and earl grey shorties! I didn't think I liked meringue till I tried this pavlova... Earl grey cake is delicious too (just be sure to order in advance)! A bit pricey, but I keep coming back for more... Love that there are some staples, but also some seasonal items. Almost always a line up, so be prepared to wait. Rain or shine. Just a heads-up, there's no in-store seating.

Yelp
First time trying Roselle, I had their holiday Chestnut cake ($80) The cake overall was very tasty and enjoyable and I extremely loved their crust but I felt like it lacked the chestnut component. The only chestnut about the cake was the small bits of chestnut garnishes they placed around the cake and the very faint tasting of chestnut mousse. I might consider trying them again and checking out their menu for myself, as I had this cake at a family party. Overall I did really enjoy this cake.

Yelp
Not sure if I understand the hype of this place. I thought the dessert was alright but really expensive for what it was. Things were sold out really quick so if you want something, be sure to go early. It's a walk up so expect to take it to go.

Yelp
Had their cake for a birthday and it was unbelievably amazing the chocolate sensation is remarkable!!! The chocolate mousse, the little chocolate balls for a crunch texture, the moisture in the cake mmmmhmmm.. i had pretty much 1/2 the cake just to myself, didn't really wanted to share! I like how they make it a take out window for those who goes to purchase items or for pick up( covid free) Ive had their home made nougat bars and they were soft and chewy topped with dried fruits

Yelp
Big fan of this place! Well made desserts with high quality ingredients. Worth the small wait in line (they're very efficient so the line goes by quickly!) We've tried: - Roselle Frasier cake - similar to a strawberry shortcake but elevated 100 times. So delicious. This was amazing. Seasonal and would definitely get again! - Strawberry buttermilk cake - this was also super delicious. Would definitely get this again and try the different fruit varieties as well. - Madeleines - tried the lemon and loved it. - Absolutely loved their cookies! Tried their chocolate chunk and matcha chocolate. Would try all other flavors as well. Really well done. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Got the Birthday cake cake cup. It was like cake but in a cup. Besides sprinkles it had a passion fruit layer. The cream tasted fresh. It was pretty good - easy to eat but smaller than a cake slice

Yelp
Roselle is a "playful dessert shop" (quoted from their website) owned by Steph and Bruce who worked in Michelin-starred restaurants in France. Roselle has been on my bucket list of places to pre-covid, and I am so glad they still going strong today! Food: Here you will find a variety of desserts; pavlova, caramels, chiffon, cakes, cookies, madeleines, eclairs, and parts of their menu changes seasonally and/or monthly. I am in love with their cake cups, so creamy and the components in each cake surprise me with every bite. Service: You are greeted by Steph and/or Bruce themselves! They are very friendly and really care for their customers. I always feel positive after each interaction with them. Pricing: The prices are steep, however, verything crafted from Roselle undeniably proves the caliber coming from the people behind this dessert shop. All their quality desserts are worth a try! I have yet to try their famous Earl Grey soft-serve, can't wait till the weather gets warmer!

Yelp
What I ordered: - Sesame Eclair - Hazelnut Cake Cup - Cheddar, Strawberry, Earl Grey Shortbread Menu & Tasting 5/5 SESAME ECLAIR - filled with sesame ganache, roasted hazelnuts, chocolate crème! When I saw this, I knew I had to have it. I believe it was a seasonal item! The flavours blended so well together and the outsides were perfectly crispy. HAZELNUT CAKE CUP - a cake in a cup! What's not to love about that? The cookie crumbs, cake pieces, and hazelnuts were the perfect mixture. Even the wooden spoons that were given to us were adorable. Would definitely try the other flavours. SHORTBREAD COOKIES: CHEDDAR, STRAWBERRY, EARL GREY - my favourite was the cheddar and earl grey. One of the softest, freshest, tastiest shortbread cookies I ever had. The strawberry had just the right amount of sweetness. I normally don't go for drier cookies, but these were the perfect texture. Store 5/5 A cute store with French inspired desserts and merchandise as well. I went a month ago, just before closing time and lined up for about 15-20 minutes. It was worth the wait! This all costed me ~$45 and I was a bit surprised, however you can tell the quality of the desserts are there so I understand the price!
google avatar

Ash J.

Yelp
Yummy desserts but steep price. The mini cake is on the creamy side but is really delicious. I enjoyed the banana eclairs the most. It's hard to find places that make good eclairs! I was surprised my total was ~$35 when i ordered the eclairs, a cookie, and mini cake so I asked the server about it and she mentioned that the banana eclairs come in 2s and they cost you $16! I went during the day and there was still a 5 person line, but it moves fairly quickly (5-10 min wait max).

Yelp
We counted ourselves lucky when we arrived on a Saturday afternoon 1hr before closing to plenty of options and no line ups. It was a humid hot day, so the Peach Parfait was exactly what I needed to cool down with. The softserve is creamy, with a hint of that buttermilk tang at the end of the vanilla notes. The parfait has cake chunks on the bottom and is topped with a cookie crumble and fresh peach chunks. Each element brings a new flavor to the palate, so it keeps it interesting to the last bite. Definitely a wonderful treat if you are in the area. My friends got several different items I was lucky enough to sample also. I really liked the spicy cheddar shortbread. It packed a punch of heat and the salty cheddar was lovely along with the buttery shortbread. The Madeleines also deserve a call out, with the earl grey one being the best of the bunch in my opinion. My friend treated us to a pavlova which was also amazing. The tartness of the raspberries cut through the sugar of thee we meringue. Both crunchy and smooth, tart and sweet!

Yelp
Love Roselle! The only downfall is that it's a bit farther and a trek for me to get here, but I know it's worth it. I'm a sucker for strawberry season and this year the strawberry parfait was perfect. I've also had their seasonal matcha cake (sorry I forgot the name), and their cookies and nothing has disappointed so far. I wish they were open more often too but I'll take what I can get. It's just a small window shop but they're doing their best with service. Roselle is a Toronto gem and I do hope they can expand if they want to take on that extra challenge!
google avatar

Yelp
One of my favorite places for dessert. Love getting their soft serve or parfaits. Because of the pandemic, they've closed off from entering into the shop and have become more like a walk-in take out spot. They do have benches at the back though. Can't wait to visit again in warmer months
google avatar

Yelp
Happy little pastry shop in King East! One of those random drop-ins that was a real delight. It was a popular spot while we sat and ate our selection of treats. Constant stream of people walking in and taking a variety of sweets with them. I love banana flavoured things so I ordered the banana cream pie eclair. Vanilla bean custard, rum caramelized bananas and whipped white chocolate. Heavenly. Please try. Also had this cinnamon pastry that is a cross between a croissant and a cinnamon bun. To me, more a cross between a doughnut and cinnamon bun. It actually doesn't matter because that was delicious as well. I didn't have a chance to try what they had ordered but the smile and sheer satisfaction on their face said it was good. If I am in the neighbourhood again, will have to make a visit!

Yelp
My third visit to Roselle and it continues to impress. I first visited this small and beautiful dessert shop a few years ago when I was taking a food tour of the area and immediately loved it. I make the trip down from Markham. The desserts are honestly perfect! Perfect looking, perfect combination of flavors, perfect consistency. I've tried the banana eclair, the lemon tart, the pistachio st horare and the opera cake - all delicious. Their cookies are also crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Unfortunately, I tried the seasonal peach sundae this weekend and wasn't impressed. I found it very plain - the soft serve was creamy but it just had raw peaches and crunchy pieces of torn brioche. It was about the size of half your conventional soft serve cone from a ice cream truck (just for perspective on size). I expected a $12 sundae to have a little more oomph in it - like a cooked peach sauce, nuts maybe. Very pricy for what it was. Other than that - try the desserts!
google avatar

Yelp
This is from summertime! I actually felt that the earl grey flavour was quite mild, after a couple spoonfuls I didnt quite taste the flavour anymore. I found the lemon topping a bit distracting as well and think it would have better without. I did love the crispy pearls though If I'm ever in the area I'd love to go taste their beautiful pastries though!
google avatar

Suganya H.

Yelp
Love their earl grey ice cream! It was too good. Saturday morning around 11 no big line up. For their pistachio cakes in a cup too which was different and good as well. I would go back for that icecream again and again.

WY N.

Yelp
Best bakery I have tried so far in Toronto. Will definitely order their cakes for family and friends' birthdays
google avatar

Maberry Y.

Yelp
Amazing experience. The parfait was ridiculously good. The ice cream had a yogurt flavour and was incredibly rich, without being overly sweet. The cake and crumble were so soft and buttery. The peaches were fresh and popping with flavour. Everything worked well together. We completely understand the hype surround this place, and have bought into it completely. We also tried the 8 inch blueberry meringue lemon tart. It was fantastic. The presentations was pristine, and the flavours were spot on. The blueberries were unbelievably sweet, the meringue was light and fluffy, and the tart was crisp and buttery. The only drawback was the price - $45 is a lot for a small tart, even at this quality.

Yelp
Came to this cute bakery shop with my food bestie @fooodphilosopher!!! I got The Turtle which is their salted caramel dessert and their espresso in house. I love loveeeed The Turtle, especially because the cake had different textures and layers with a strong salted caramel flavour. It is on the sweeter side and is therefore a good dessert to have once in a while! I tried their earl grey cake and wow it just tastes pretty, best way I can describe it. Only way to know what I'm talking about is to try it! Their espresso was a little too acidic for my liking but it helped offset my sweet cake with quick pairing. The service was short, simple, and sweet!
google avatar

Michelle T.

Yelp
Had to get their cake up since I heard these were always sold out when they only took pre orders. The pistachio was so good, I need to try other flavours. I also saw the pavlova available for walk in on a Saturday, and I couldn't resist. I'm glad I got the pavlova, it was amazing!!
google avatar

Na T.

Yelp
Came by here again because it's been some time...their Earl gray mousse cake is as tasty as I remember. With covid they've modified their selection of baked goods and sell the cake slices and eclairs in 2pc/box/$16. They also have "cake cups" which is basically mini cakes in a cup! Great for enjoying it out at a park! We got the honey pistachios, and cookies N cream! I liked the pistachios better because it's less sweet. The cookies N cream was rich. They have covid safety protocols in place and they handle everything contactlessly!

Yelp
Favourite dessert shop in Toronto for sure!! I visit every summer and love supporting this local French inspired dessert shop. Their creations are amazing and the service is very friendly. One thing to look forward to every summer is of course their iconic earl grey soft serve! There's a line for a reason but they work very efficiently to make everyone happy.

Yelp
I'd give 4.5 stars if I could! Half a star improvement space comes from the earl grey lemon and triple chocolate (as described below). Stopped by on a Friday about 5pm when they opened for the day and there was a massive lineup around the block. Waited for about an hour which was probably worth it! I got three cake cups - earl grey lemon, tres leches with coconut, and triple chocolate. Earl grey lemon - name sounds amazing but probably my least favoured of the three. Earl grey flavour is a bit subtle and I can't tell if there is lemon flavour outside the lemon poppyseed base. It kind of feels like a regular lemon poppyseed muffin but with a lot of frosting. Tres leches with coconut - my favourite of the three. Super airy sponge cake where every bite makes me feel like I'm in heaven the coconut flavour is just strong enough and tres leches is done beautifully. Would recommend! Triple chocolate - seriously decadent. If you like classic chocolate cake, you'll love this. Only complaint is that it had too much cream and not enough cake, as shown in the picture (sorry it's not the most alluring photo). I can totally understand why there's always such a long line. I didn't get to try the very Instagramable earl grey soft serve, but I really enjoyed these little cakes. They're on the pricey side ($8) but Roselle is a small business run by a couple who learned their craft while living and working in Paris. Will 100% return to try some of their other desserts!
google avatar

Jasmine L.

Yelp
They no longer have their infamous Earl Gray soft serve right now!! They instead do a Strawberry twist flavour (which was served plain without any fun toppings). This was disappointing since I was looking forward to the Earl Gray one :( So I opted out to get the The Earl Cake instead. It had a white chocolate layer on top of a light mousse with a wonderful early gray flavour. Under, it had a thin spongey cake & crunchy (slightly salty) bottom. Sweetness level was not overwhelming. It's VERY pricey at ~$9 though... Next time, I have my heart set on trying their apparent 2 best-sellers: the Turtle tart & the Banana cream pie eclair !
google avatar

Yelp
Honestly can not say enough good things about their dessert, except that if you don't time or plan ahead of time; expect to be out of luck. Which is an amazing problem to have. I have been lucky enough to snag some of their goods during their weekly pop ups - and everything is just plain tasty and lovely. I really enjoy their cake cups - my daughter's favourite is the cookies & Cream; for me it is a toss up between their Earl Grey and Cookies & Cream. Either way, you will be happy. Picking up during their pop ups have been easy breezy, but you need to remember to place your order on Monday 8 pm, which is when their order window opens for Saturday pick up. Check their Instagram (@Roselle_to) for the menu offerings. They do, also, offer soft serve (their Early Grey soft serve is to die for) on Tuesday nights. If I didn't live so far; I would try and make a visit at least once this summer.
google avatar

Cecilia T.

Yelp
Still delicious! The evening desserts are a bit steep at $12 a pop but the quality is fantastic and their desserts are never too sweet. You leave feeling light and satisfied at the same time. Loving the newer mini cake flavours- esp the paradise and the black sesame eclair! Keep up the great work guys!
google avatar

Cindy D.

Yelp
(This was a long awaited review) I came here before they started to offer their infamous Earl Grey soft serve in the year which was the main reason I went. Unfortunately they didn't have it at the time but they did offer alternatives so that's good! I tried their Earl Grey shortbread cookie and it was very good, flavours were strong enough to distinguish the Earl Grey filling and buttery cookie apart. Service was good as they were patient with me. Would totally come here again in hopes to try their soft serve which I do know they do have now (but it is a little out of the way for me).

Yelp
Amazing. Delicious. Just go. Friendly (and genius) owners who make delicious baked goods. What more could you want?

Amber Q.

Yelp
We tried the banana cream eclairs and the Earl Gray tea cakes. Both were delicous and super rich. I wasn't a fan of the experience - the menu is not clear at all, and with a long line behind you, it's kind of hard to figure out what they have and what to order. Everyone in the line around us were also confused. I really did not appreciate that you can only buy 2 eclairs or 2 pieces of cake (can not buy just one eclair or one piece.of cake), and they are super expensive. I'm glad we tried them but probably wouldn't go back because of how expensive it is and the pain in the butt factor with the lineup, lack of clear menu, etc.

Yelp
This cafe/bakery is so cute and definitely a must-go for anyone stopping in Toronto for a bit! They have the cutest designs along with amazing desserts in a really aesthetic cafe. It's a pretty small place with 3 tables and some wall seats, but it's very bright inside and the workers are so sweet and helpful. My friends and I came in for some desserts (mainly the Earl Grey soft serve) on a Sunday afternoon and we ended up sharing a next-level Earl Grey soft serve sunday, a latte tart, and a black sesame shortie. Desserts: Next-level Earl Grey soft serve sundae - The regular earl grey soft serve is $5.50 for a small cup, but only +50 cents will get you three extra toppings: white chocolate pearls, a mini earl grey shortie, and lemon cream inside. The toppings are definitely worth it for the pictures/aesthetic and also they make it more tasty. This was the best earl grey ice cream I have ever had (and I have had a lot as a lover of Earl Grey and all desserts including it). Definitely worth it and good to share. Latte tart - This dessert definitely caught our eye because it was so perfect-looking and how it looked just like a latte with a flower design on top. The tart crust was perfect on the bottom and the flavor inside was a little coffee-like and a bit sweet. Interesting dessert concept, very cute. Awesome dessert place, definitely recommend and wish I could try more of the desserts in the case. They all look so scrumptious! Also, all of the spoons, cups, business-cards, etc. are so cute and well-designed too. Tip: Credit card minimum is $10, so just buy some more goodies. :)

Yelp
I needed to buy a cake for my boyfriend so I made him come with me to try some desserts at Roselle. Anyhow, that's how the story goes. Food/Drinks I like how they don't have 100 items on the menu, and they could pinpoint the customer's favourites very quickly. I tried the elcair, and let me make this clear, I've never had one before. An eclair, as per Wiki, is an oblong pastry. Typically elcairs are topped with icing and has lots of filling on the inside. Most of the time, eclairs look too "sweet" for me but the elcair here is not like that. The cream is delicious, and the top/bottom is only a little crunchy. I also had a London Fog, and I appreciated that they didn't use Lipton's Tea. Their supplier was Sloane. Service/Location It's small, no joke. Customers usually come to get "take-out" desserts. I love the service here, and the lady I was speaking with was quite knowledgeable about their menu items. I appreciated the fact that she could instill some knowledge into the specific ingredients/taste of each dessert.

Yelp
You can't review something you never had. The only "nefarious activity" that goes on here is how delicious and scrumptious the treats at Roselle are. Seriously, all one has to do is pick up the phone and call their number and you too, can have access to these delicious treats. What a concept, calling the business to find out their operating hours instead of being immature sour grapes personally attacking the business owners. Ever heard of libel and slander? But I digress. I love that Roselle has weekend specials or seasonal specials such as their chocolate cake one Spring ago, or their peach crumbles during the summer. Their Earl Grey Tea ice cream is to die for, as is their staple the chocolate soufflé cookie. The staff are friendly and courteous at Roselle, service is always served with a smile. You can tell the owners Bruce and Steph pour their heart and soul into each and everyone of their delectable creations. Roselle will always be a go to place of mine when I want out of this world desserts that deserves numerous repeated visits. But don't take my word for it, you owe it to yourself to visit them at least once.

Yelp
Wonderful products, wonderful staff and great small run business. There's a lot of pride in the product. Their treats are rich and beautifully prepared. Amongst the best in Toronto. They really shine when it comes to their handling and flavouring of cream. The difficulty however with Roselle is two fold: 1) It requires pre-planning. You can't just stop by for a cheeky treat - the chances are they're either closed, or no more products left, or they won't have the one thing you're craving for another week. It requires you to follow them on instagram, check their website, pre-order, etc, which most ppl don't have the time for. As they undoubtedly scale up in the future, this should no longer be a problem I imagine. 2) Prices. Very high prices. For baked products, they're 20-30% higher than the higher end spots in the city - so their price point is really a new niche in and of itself. Is it worth it? I'd say yes as an individual, but if you've got a family, it's just tough to justify. Overall, I expect great things, once they've increased in scale. Right now, it's a small run business by a hard working owner, with service, offerings, and pricing that reflects the limitations of two hands. An understanding of this prior to going, will temper expectations.

Yelp
one of the best dessert places ever. did i really want to leave a great review at the risk of more people finding them and things selling out?! but i DO want people to know they're amazing and i hope Roselle sticks around forever. some of the best desserts i've had, whether their rotating flavours or their consistent staples. friendly service but prepare to wait in line!

Yelp
I'm always happy with a cup of piping hot tea and a snack. We came here for dessert after dinner on a Friday. It was packed but we somehow managed to snag a table. This is a nice cozy place with delightful treats if you have a sweet tooth. I had a slice of pumpkin cake, which was the only dairy-free option. Usually dairy-free cakes are dry as hell or have a weird flavour but this was pretty good. It was surprisingly moist. My friends had a lemon tart and said it was just on the edge of being too tart but still good. Overall this was a nice one-time short visit for me and I enjoyed my spot of tea.

Yelp
Roselle is a pinterest perfect bakery. Under a year old, Roselle is already building a name for itself. Although on the less economical side, it is well worth every penny. Earl Grey with toppings ($5 + $.50 for toppings) at Roselle soft serve was exquisite. Although the texture of the ice cream is not as smooth as other soft serve, the various elements in the ice cream more than made up for it. The acidity from the lemon curd is a welcoming component to balance the sweetness of the ice cream. The heart shaped tea-flavoured biscuit and cookies and cream dots were not only whimsical, they also added crunchy texture to it. I loved the salted caramel coffee cookie. Again, Roselle balanced the texture and the flavour of the cookie very well. I am impressed by the concept and the execution. Soft chewy cookie with salty and sweet centre, and hint of acidity from the coffee. I am in adult cookie + ice cream heaven.

Yelp
I love this place! While travelling from my Airbnb to somewhere else in the city, I passed by this place later at night and was instantly attracted to the cute decor. A Toronto Yelper (thank you Soleil!) also recommended Roselle to me, which added to the signs that were pointing here. Luckily before I flew out, my friends and I got to stop by on a Sunday afternoon to split an incredible earl grey soft serve. I'm literally obsessed with the entire aesthetic of this place and I could go on for ages! But for the sake of everyone's sanity, let me just get into what we snacked on. Our snacks: -Earl Grey Soft Serve: this is only $5 but for an additional $0.50, you can take it to the next level with a small earl grey shortbread cookie, white chocolate pearls, and a lemon filling. Long story short, the upgrade is super worth it and the soft serve was amazing. -Latte Tart: the art on this tart is gorgeous! The powdered sugar looks just like latte art. The exterior is reminiscent of caramel with a creamy interior. The crust of the tart is light but substantial--not too thick, which is often the issue with tarts. Yum! Black Sesame Shortie: I love how shortbread cookies basically melt in your mouth. This met all of my expectations and more! The staff here were SO sweet and their treats were even sweeter. So excited to come back and snap pics, grab snacks, and just appreciate the entire store's aesthetic.

Yelp
Love this place! My first visit here was a few months back after stopping at Tandem to get a coffee. I walked by and was enticed by their amazing dessert display. I end up getting their matcha cookie and it was delicious. My friends and I missed out on the Earl Grey soft serve sadly, so we decided to try their summer flavour (buttermilk) yesterday. It was like a strawberry cheesecake with a real strawberry. The staff is super friendly as well and very inviting. I only knocked off 1 star because for the size, I do find the dessert a bit pricey ($6.22) after tax for the strawberry soft serve I got. But I'll definitely come back because their desserts are top notch.

Yelp
A cute little place nested in a dingy part of King East. We got there at 8:10pm (they open at 8pm for the evening shift) and lots of people were there already. They only have 11 seats indoors and they were all taken. There is an outdoor patio, but no heaters on a cold day. The desserts were presently very nicely and looked so yummy! It was a difficult choice between the items that were on display and the evening specials. Since we couldn't get a seat, we opted to do the displayed items so we could bring them home to enjoy. We got the infamous birthday cake and turtle tart. Everything was priced between $7-$13. Our bill came up to about $17 for two items. It's kind of average, maybe $1-2 more than other boutique bakeries. The verdict: The birthday cake is pretty unique as it was made with a passionfruit layer and a buttermilk cake whipped with white chocolate and sprinkles. The presentation is very pretty and the attention to detail is something to admire. Despite the unique pairing, I didn't love it because I found the passionfruit too sour and it overpowered the cake and white chocolate flavour in my opinion. The passionfruit is good on it's own, but I didn't like it on the cake. Grade: B The turtle tart was definitely my fave. It's made with milk chocolate mousse, salted caramel, candied pecans, and rum soaked chocolate sponge with an almond tart. It really tasted like a turtle chocolate, mind you it WAS pretty sweet and dense. The flavours and texture was melt in your mouth and the tart was crunchy and flavourful to make this an awesome combo! I really enjoyed this and would definitely go back for it even though there's so many other things I want to try as well! A+ They encourage for folks to pay in cash if they can or over $10 for credit card. I would love to go back in the summer and try out their homemade ice creams. Definitely worth it - 4 stars because I didn't love the birthday cake and the place is pretty small so there wasn't enough seats and no heaters on the outdoor patio. A tip, parking is free after 8pm on weekends.
