Good Food, Rush Job Service
Rosetta’s is one of those spots that presents a genuine paradox: the quality of the cooking for a bistro style is high, the dishes are interesting and inventive, and the overall pricing is quite fair. If you judge a restaurant purely on what lands on the plate, this place is a strong contender. But the overall dining experience—the rhythm and flow of the evening—left much to be desired.
The kitchen is clearly operating at a high level. We found the dishes to be well worth the price point, offering unique flavor profiles you don't find everywhere. The ambiance is nice enough, but that’s where the positive momentum stops and the rush begins.
The service was disappointingly rushed. While we were explicitly told we had a two-hour slot, we were served from start to finish in roughly 50 minutes. This breakneck pace meant the dining experience felt less like a relaxed meal and more like a timed sprint. We frequently found ourselves not quite ready for the next course, only for the subsequent dish to already be landing on the table.
This lack of polish was also evident in small but important details. For instance, the staff didn't bother changing the wine glasses for different wines, which, for a restaurant offering an elevated bistro menu, feels sloppy. Additionally, the seating is noticeably crampy, making the forced speed of the meal even less comfortable.
In conclusion, Rosetta’s is not a place I’d be rushing back to. It’s certainly not a destination restaurant you make plans around. However, if you happen to be in the area and are looking for a genuinely interesting meal that's fairly priced, it's a spot you can visit. Just be prepared to eat fast.
