Rosevears Hotel

We had a wonderful stay! We only had one night and wish we could have stayed for more. The property is situated on the River Tamar and the views were beautiful. The room was very comfy and the staff was friendly and accommodating. It was a lovely peaceful retreat. Dinner at the hotel Pub was also great and the service was excellent. This is a must stay! We'll be back the next time we visit TAS!

We weren't expecting a lot from this hotel, and it well and truly exceeded our expectations. The rooms are modern and well appointed, and the view from the balcony across the river is great. The staff we dealt with were friendly, andthe price was also very reasonable. In addition, we had a great meal in the restaurant. Well worth five stars.

What a great location. The fish n chips was one of the best I have had in a very long time. My wife had the soup and really enjoyed it. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Would definitely come back.

Great hotel room, and you can enjoy jacuzzi while see the river view or enjoy the stars at night. Recommended. It will be better if there’s a full size mirror in the room, because the only mirror is in the toilet. Cheers

The young staff were very accommodating and friendly, the senior staff in restaurant delivering meals, very rude. It was like she really did not want no more people in. No smile. Then charged way over menu price, apparently because it's Sunday there is a surcharge? Meal was average. Wouldn't recommend, first tine there, definitely won't be back!!!!!

Thursday the 26th June. Our family of 10 had the table in the back room and our waitresses could not have been more accommodating, friendly, efficient, and professional. They engaged with us happily about the football, showed us what the desserts looked like on route to another table, nothing was too much trouble. We were very impressed. Thankyou for a lovely evening.

My favourite pub in Launceston. Also loved staying here two years ago when we were looking to buy in Tassie. We’ve brought lots of visitors here. Unfortunately ten days ago the menu had changed (still pricey - $90 for an entree and pizza and drinks) and the food was very average indeed. It used to be so good. The staff were still nice but we won’t be rushing back.

Very romantic and beautifully presented rooms. Also, staff are excellent to match. The restaurant is brilliant and the prices are very reasonable.

A hotel with a bit of a history. The quiet location on the water is refreshing. The cool breeze of a night really helps with sleeping and that rhythmic movement of water can be heard from any room. There has been a total rethink of mixing history with modern accommodation. Behind the historical building is a large number of self contained units. Each with its large balcony over looking the main hotel and water. All the mods cons can be found here in the modern quarters. The hotel management is very helpful with booking tours in the area. This is area is famous for its wines. Although this place is out of the way it is still a very pleasant stay.
