A Hidden Gem We’ll Return to Again and Again
We stayed at Roseville House last summer and were absolutely blown away by the experience — so much so that we’ve made it part of our annual summer tradition. We had just come from a high-end 5-star hotel in a neighboring town, and honestly, Roseville far exceeded it in every way: service, atmosphere, comfort, and attention to detail.
From the moment we arrived, Richie and Caroline made us feel genuinely welcome. The room was immaculate and thoughtfully decorated, with beautiful local touches that made it feel both elegant and personal. Every detail — from the cozy bed and USB-equipped lamps to the carefully stocked kitchenette and luxurious bathroom — made our stay seamless and restorative. The local touches and narratives of history in the room were an added bonus that really speaks to the storytelling aspect of Irish culture and made it feel like a homecoming to stay here.
And then there’s the breakfast. Delivered fresh to our room each morning, it was a highlight of each day: warm croissants, fresh fruit, yogurt, juice, toast — all beautifully presented and incredibly generous.
The location couldn’t be better: peaceful and quiet, yet just a short stroll to Youghal’s harbor, restaurants, and shops. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to slow down and savor every minute.
We can’t wait to return this summer. Roseville isn’t just a place to stay — it’s a place to remember.
