Roseville | Luxury Accommodation | Bed and Breakfast | Youghal

Our stay at Roseville was one of the highlights of our trip to Ireland. The upstairs suite was private, airy and beautifully decorated. Richie and Caroline were gracious hosts and provided tips regarding local restaurants and sights. The breakfast tray was fresh, healthy and delicious. We hope to return for a longer stay in the next few years!

Where do I even start? Everything about this stay was absolutely perfect--what a find Roseville House was! Richie is an amazing host--not just of this B&B, but for the town of Youghal as a whole. He has such clear love for and pride in his hometown and that comes through in all of his amazing recommendations for local restaurants and pubs, hikes, and sites to see. He will not steer you wrong. His love for and pride in his childhood home is also clear and the way the guest suites at the house have been remodeled is just stunning. The spaces are lovely and every detail has been thought of. The bathroom is very spacious and thoughtfully laid out and was one of the best and most functional of anywhere we stayed in Ireland. The location of the house in town is also fabulous--really close to all the good pubs and restaurants and sites you've come to see. Parking was also easy (which is not always the case in a town proper). And finally, about breakfast. As I told Richie, he is completely underselling it by calling it "continental". There were still warm! croissants and toast, other pastries, just cooked eggs, yogurt, fruit, and I'm sure I'm forgetting something! It was excellent. And in case you want to have any other meals in your suite, there is even a small kitchonette area with a fridge, toaster, dishes, utensils etc. Again, really thoughtful. I cannot say enough about Roseville House!

Our stay at Roseville House was wonderful! Richie and Caroline made our stay extremely easy. The room was beautifully decorated, very comfortable and perfectly clean. We were provided with a mini kitchen with tea, coffee, milk, water and cereals as well as a lovely breakfast brought to the room everyday. The location is excellent - right in the centre of town. I'll definitely be staying there again on my next trip to Youghal.

The accommodation was very clean, spacious and comfortable.|The proprietors are very nice and welcoming which made our stay very pleasant.|They brought breakfast to us every morning which consisted of hot and cold food. |It is set right in the town of youghal so easy access to everywhere. |I would strongly recommend Roseville House and when we return again we will certainly stay here.

Exceptional ! I can't say more. I have stayed here twice before, over 30 years ago and it is as amazng as it was my for previous 2 stays. It was just as I remembered it before. The hosts are wonderful (although a different generation) ! Very pleasant and caring. Continental breakfast was wonderful, with warm fresh food. Location is great to explore Youghal, and parking close by. Beds and room very comfortable and clean. Felt like I was going home.

Likes · The Garden Suite room was lovely and the location was simply wonderful. The nearest supermarket is one minute away, there is a public parking lot beside the accommodation, and you will find restaurants and bars within two minutes walk (at most). There are banks and a post office nearby. It is worth noting that the room is spacious and decorated in a manner that will bring a smile to your face. The hosts are wonderful, and the breakfast was excellent for us. It is a continental breakfast with the dry goods kept in the room, and hot bakery and fresh yogurt delivered to the private door each morning.||Nitpicks · The only nitpick I would have is that the mattress is too soft for my liking, but this is subjective. I tend to like firm mattresses and prefer memory foam over springs. There was a small issue with our shower only delivering hot water, but the hosts were super responsive and fixed it quickly.

Without a doubt, this is one of the most stunning places I have ever stayed. We stayed in the upstairs garden suite and it was comparable to a boutique hotel, if not nicer! The attention to detail is impeccable and the decor is modern and stylish while in keeping with the country feel of the house. The freestanding bath in the bathroom adds a real touch of luxury. The walled garden adds an element of privacy but also gives romantic feel to the area. Richie and his wife Caroline were both friendly and helpful, Richie gave all the local recommendations including where to have dinner and watch pubs had live music. The breakfast in the morning was absolutely beautiful and delivered in a gorgeous picnic basket. I will 100% be returning and would recommend Roseville to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in the Youghal region.

I really enjoyed my stay in the upstairs garden suite. It has a ‘boutique hotel’ feel to it. Lovely decor and attention to detail created a real ‘home from home’ feel. Lots of variety for Breakfast and it was delivered to my room in the morning - hot pastries, fresh fruits, juice, yogurt, toast. Its location is ideal and within short walking distance to shops and restaurants. I highly recommend and will definitely be back again.
