Really nice café. The service was quick and super friendly. Very busy but spacious. I actually loved ordering at the front then finding your own spot to sit and wait for your order - found this very efficient especially with how busy it was. The food was DELICIOUS, I had the lox and egg sandwich and it was super tasty. The crispy potatoes were one of the best I've ever had. I had a capaccino which was small but still nice. Very pricey though, expect to spend around $30 per person. However, the experience was very lovely and the food was super good. I left feeling full and satisfied. Would highly recommend.

Atmosphere is loud and busy. Food is everything I want it to be. I have been looking for a good soup, and I found here an amazing one. Managed to get it with a truly perfect donut as well. Just came for a quick snack but definitely coming back for lunch, breakfast and everything else they've got. Price is very good for what you get since the food is basically perfect. We are so lucky to have this. Please stay here forever, Rosewood Foods.

Google
Donuts delicious. Soup quite spicy. Tables quite close together and can get loud so not really a place to sit and get some work done. But it’s a cozy shop in a quieter part of downtown.

I was visiting Edmonton and wandered downtown to find a nice place for breakfast, which is when I stumbled upon Rosewood Foods. It is a clean, simple little place - honestly doesn't look like much and you order at the front and pay ahead of time - but it really delivered in the food-and-drink department. The atmosphere is nice and quiet, perfect for reading and drinking a coffee or having conversation. The drink I ordered - london fog with almond milk - was very good. But the real star was the food. I ordered a scallion, egg, and cheese sandwich. It was soft and buttery and absolutely covered in melty cheese. Even more than I enjoyed my sandwich, I enjoyed the potatoes. I have never had such crispy breakfast potatoes. They are smashed and fried I think? Really exceptional; I usually don't like plain potatoes but I could eat these all day, even without ketchup or hot sauce or anything. Really impressed. Only complaint is that it's so far from my home so I won't be able to visit again anytime soon! Edit: I visited a second time on my trip because I couldn't stop thinking about those potatoes. This time I got a mushroom hash and again: so, so good. I've added a photo of the hash. Definitely recommend.

Unbelievably good food here! My partner and I went for brunch on a Saturday before a matinee at the Citadel. The place was hopping, but we managed to snag a couple of stools by the window. I had the roasted broccoli sandwich. It sounds weird but tasted incredible, with a wonderful combination of flavours on toasted foccacia. Even my meat-loving partner was impressed. The crispy potatoes were so flavourful that they didn't need ketchup. My partner would probably skip the Bourbon peach iced tea next time, as he prefers drinks on the sweeter/fruitier side. My London fog was good. We grabbed a couple of cruellers to go--best I've ever had!

Google
The pho burger on the left for $10 (as part of Burgerfest) was pretty good, but I can't get over that singular "fried farm egg" on the right being $3.50. Before tax and tip. I didn't try it, but is your "house chicken sausage" for $6.50 also one single sausage then?

One of the chef's recommended that i try the lemon pancakes (available on weekends). I'm glad he did!! The pancakes were amazing - light and fluffy. i added a side of bacon. This is now my new favourite breakfast in the city. Everyone else at my table had breakfast envy. But truly, i love everything on the Rosewood menu.

Google
Absolutely <3 this place. Everything is so fresh and made with love. Specifically came to try their special, the Pho burger, and it did not disappoint. I’ll be thinking of this burger every day for the rest of my life. Thank you Rosewood!

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this place for a while, and finally had the chance to have lunch here this week. I love the place - it's cozy without being cramped - well-lit, clean, and with lots of space to move around. I was able to seat myself with a menu, then ordered at the counter, with my food brought to my table. I enjoy this hybrid cafeteria/table service model, as it cuts down waiting time for a server, but also allows me to experience whether the service in a restaurant is good or not. It is good here - friendly and helpful. I had the katsu chicken sandwich. The crispy piece of chicken was perfectly cooked, and topped with lots of red cabbage and mayo. The bun was delicious as well. The side of crispy potatoes was amazing - a huge portion of twice cooked, smashed, little potatoes that were tender and well-seasoned. I fell into a carb coma a short while after lunch! I am definitely coming back, perhaps to try brunch.

Yelp
Pretty good brioche bacon sandwich. For the latte, don't add $1 to make it large, too much milk to the point it feels like a steamed milk instead of latte.

Yelp
I stopped by Rosewood Foods for brunch a little while ago. The restaurant has a laid back atmosphere. In terms of food, they have a lot of items on their board in addition to the menu. I tried the Katsu Chicken Sandwich. The chicken was quite good. The potatoes were good as well - first baked and then fried as was described to us. Overall, I'd rate them 8.3/10

Yelp
The best place for cruellest! Mango, raspberry and the coffee are my favs! For lunch make sure you order the Katsu burger! And get the fries!

Yelp
A little downtown cafe that is great for lunch or brunch. Food is made fairly fast and I had a decent experience dining in and ordering takeout recently. Breakfast Bowl $18- This was delicious! You have a choice of choosing mushroom, bacon or chicken sausage with this dish. The potatoes were crispy and seasoned super well. I definitely would order again. Katsu Chicken Sandwich $20- The fried chicken was fresh and crispy in the soft milk bun. The kewpie mayo and katsu sauce paired really well together. I enjoyed the sandwich but the crispy potatoes were a little bit over salted this time. My friend ordered the French Patty Melt. She also really enjoyed her sandwich and said it was good. I'm hoping to try more of their other weekday and brunch items since they all look tasty. I've heard good things about their crullers

Yelp
This is a favourite spot for many of my colleagues, including those visiting from out of town and make a special visit to come here. I have been here for a few meetings including a breakfast meeting. I ordered the breakfast burrito and it didn't come with any sides but none were needed as I found it be filling. I can't recall everything in the burrito but I believe it had eggs, bacon, potatoes, cheese, and a salsa. It was tasty and I would definitely order it again. My colleagues are fans of the crullers and biscuit which I will have to try next time I stop by!

Yelp
Loved their salad especially the sesame dressing! Definitely had to go earlier to beat the lunch crowd and save a seat. It's also a great place to go for a coffee break and some snacks.

Yelp
So perhaps I got them on an off day but I grabbed a couple of pastries and ordered verde rice. It generally was okay. The baking was actually tasty but expensive so it should be good. I had a peach one that was particularly good. My verde rice was definately overpriced. Not really well flavoured and throwing a bunch of raw veggies ontop of it didn't improve it. For 15 bucks with no protein on it, made it not good value for your money. This should be served with fried eggs ontop. Service was indifferent. I noticed that the revies are really good for this place, so I will give it another shot but not a place that I would run to.

Yelp
Rosewood is a staple brunch spot for us. The breakfast sandwiches are the best we've ever had. From the bun to the homemade tomato jam and perfectly cooked bacon and egg, it can't be beat. The crispy potatoes are perfect every time and we can't get enough. The lattes and cappuccinos are a great addition to brunch as well. On top of the breakfast, the crullers (not pictured) are always a hit with the fruit glazed ones being a favourite. Parking in the area is always difficult but underground at the library is a good option if no street parking is available.

Yelp
I was sent to this place by the hotel I was staying at they told me this place is brand new and the best part is that is locally own. They were super nice and helpful at the time of ordering. Don't be afraid to ask for help with the menu as they are super friendly. Looking forward to my next visit!

Yelp
Quality spot. Expertly executed cafe latte and the breakfast bowl was a delicious hot mess of flavors. Never seen potatoes so perfectly done and what's with all the tomato and garlic goodness? Bookmark. Return. Explore. Also a nice spot to sit outside on a beautiful summer morning. Cheerly helpful staff in addition to the talented kitchen.

Yelp
Beautiful warm space full of glorious natural light. Love the daily bakery items offered (read: incredible cruellers). Milk bun breakfast sandwich was a bit of a let down. We ordered the sausage sandwich and although sausage was good, the accompanying sauces as cloyingly sweet for mine and my husband's palate to the point that we just scraped it all off. Egg was perfectly executed however. The milk bun was overly brown. Despite this I look forward to trying other items on the menu like their Katsu Chicken burger.

Yelp
Recommended by a colleague, I have stayed a hotel close by and never noticed this place until now.. So many good things to say about the take out experience. Friendly staff on pick-up, and helpful selecting a dessert since I couldn't choose online sight unseen. Lots of items sounded amazing but I settled on the club with crispy potatoes and a cookie for dessert. It was all delicious - rich - but delicious. One star removed for sticker shock on prices. Do I think this place is delicious? Yes. Will I go back? Absolutely. But small items like $2 mayo and $5 side potatoes make it an expensive lunch.

Yelp
Learned about this place from a local friend and brought 12 people. Each of us had a fabulous meal - including the two celiacs. We had the breakfast bowl with mushrooms and the rice bowl special - both divine. This a brunch not to be missed; and later someone told me their lunch is even better!

Yelp
By far the best breakfast place in Edmonton. Haven't had anything I didn't love. The lemon ricotta pancakes and crispy potatoes are amazing!

Yelp
My favourite place in town right now. Genuinly good food with 10/10 chefs. Perfect if you work downtown, has the best foccacia to go with its soup, its the best bread I've ever had lol. Everything comes fresh made from the kitchen fast enough for you to grab to go or chill and dip. Carrot cake muffin was stupid good obviously. Have crueller donuts of multiple flavours, but none are custard filled. Radish Cakes slapped, could lean more towards either an appetizer or a small dish cause its kind of caught in between. Grilled cheese and soup, crazy good. Mushroom handpies, crazy good. Breakfast Rice, Crazy good. Can't wait to try their Katsu fried chicken sandwich. An awesome place to recommend if you want next level breakfast and lunch without going over the top.

Yelp
I now have something to look forward to for the days I'm working at the office. Lunch at Rosewood! I cannot wait to try literally everything on the menu. I almost let the person behind me go in front of me as it was so hard to choose what to order. I went with the kale salad and katsu chicken. It was so good, it was hard to go back the next day. They have a fair amount of seating inside and outside. The order did take about 15 mins during lunch rush, but I see you can order ahead on their app. Great coffee menu as well, and lots of delicious baked treats.

Yelp
great burger, the homemade bun really ties it together. Perfect coffee and really nice little spot. Will be back for sure. Great DT lunch spot.
