A dream Dublin getaway! We stayed here for a weekend in May 2025 with a big group and it was perfect. The location is pretty close to the city, the facilities are great, and the kitchen is well equipped. We did a catered dinner one night and the food was incredible, including meeting some specific dietary requirements for the group. Nearby archery was a great afternoon activity and overall the property was a dream. The only minus is that none of us encountered the ghost!

My wife and I stayed a week (June 20-27, 2025) with 12 other friends. The castle absolutely exceeded our expectations. Everything about the place - the history, the decor, the furnishings, the grounds - charmed and thrilled us. The place was exquisite. There was ample space to gather with a group or to find a cozy nook to read a book. Jackie the property manager was incredibly helpful and responsive, which truly enhanced our stay. Perhaps the highlight of our stay were the in-home multi-course culinary experiences (3 dinners, 2 breakfasts) prepared and served (and cleared!) by Stephanie and her crew for our entire group around one of the long dining room tables. Stephanie is a true gourmet chef and a gem of a person. Every dish was magnificent and beautifully presented (see the photo of a cake she prepared from scratch in the castle kitchen decorated with local fruits and flowers). Each meal was a treat worth every penny.

Had a magnificent two night stay at the castle with a big group of friends. Utterly gorgeous place, filled with antiques, taxidermy and quirky bits and pieces. The more modern part maintains castle vibes and is airy with great views. The castle has everything you need - a well appointed kitchen, comfy chairs and plenty of activities and games available to for if the weather does play ball. While we were there it was perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed the garden and the lake. No ghostly activity from Sabina: I can't decide if that would have added or deteacted from my experience 😅

Stayed for the weekend with a big group. Great location and space, especially the upstairs that was perfect to hang out with bar and views across the lake. Was like something you'd find in BC Canada. Amazing experience with beautiful 3 course meal the first night. Space is bursting with character and history at every corner. Jackie and co were super friendly and accommodating.

Fantastic stay, this was our last stop before flying back home, couldn't have been better. The actual tower is just incredible, our kids loved it. The more modern rooms in the main building are spacious and comfortable, and it really feels like a trip back in time. Highly recommend! It's a splurge (for us) but totally worth it. Try to leave as much time as possible to explore the building and the grounds

Trip of a lifetime! This was the perfect location to gather a large group of old friends and new friends for a few days of revelry. We got the most out of the full kitchen for multiple meals, we dipped in the loch, and took in the nearby sights. If you have the means, I highly recommend booking the castle.

We had a wonderful stay at Ross Castle. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and the setting beside the lake was amazing. The castle itself was fantastic, and I'm very grateful to have had such a special experienced there. Highly recommend staying here.

Amazing place. Absolutely stunning. Food was like a 5 star restaurant. Rooms are cozy, clean, and warm. The upstairs space is great to hang out in with beautiful views of the lake and forests. 5 stars
