Ross Castle Lodge

Rosaleen and Dennis were excellent hosts. One of our favorite stays since we arrived in Ireland 5 days ago. Best Irish breakfast we have had. The rooms are clean and spacious with a great view of the beautiful gardens. Walking distance from the Ross Castle and many hiking trails. We stayed two nights and loved it.

Can’t say enough about how amazing this B&B is! Our favorite stop on our whole trip. Denis and Rosaleen are the most lovely couple and were a delight to stay with. The rooms are huge, clean, gorgeous, and very well appointed. Breakfast is made to order and absolutely delicious, served in the beautiful dining room overlooking the gardens. The gardens are amazing, so lush and well tended. We spent 3 nights here and wish we could have stayed longer, we can’t wait to come back. Don’t hesitate to book this amazing place, you won’t regret it. The highlight of our trip!

We came here only for one night, and I wish he were here longer! Such a quiet place, very close to the Ross castle. Being awoken by birds rather than traffic was very refreshing! Rosaleen will welcome you with open arms, as if you were family. The place is beautiful both outside and inside. Perfectly clean, and it feels like home. The bed was awesome, the first night we could sleep properly during our trip. The breakfast is delicious, made by our host. I recommend everything about this place.

Ross Castle Lodge Bed and Breakfast in Killarney, Ireland is a great value and a welcoming place to stay. I was welcomed with a lovely chat over tea and a scone by the innkeeper Rosaleen O'Leary! I really appreciated her taking time to get to know me and share her thoughts on Irish history and culture. My room was good sized, appealing and a great value. Showers were hot with good water pressure. The gardens on the property were just gorgeous - imagine Secret Garden type plantings. My stay included a complete hot Irish breakfast with lots of coffee, eggs and Irish bacon - similar to a fried ham. Mmmm. I enjoyed a morning walk down the road to Ross Castle, which I highly recommend. Who knew the advancements in medieval architecture and defense? Ross Castle Lodge B&B is adjacent to the Killarney National Park, and one may walk through the park to get to the 'town' of Killarney where you'll find lots of restaurants, pubs & shops. The O'Leary's are amazing and kind hosts and take great care of their guests. We arrived a bit late and they prepared tea and biscuits for us. They gave us great recommendations and also drove us to the bus station when we had to leave. Killarney was amazing! It was our favorite city in Ireland and we would love to go back. Plenty to do in the city with unique shops and restaurants. I would recommend renting bikes and riding into the national park.

Excellent experience! Rosaleen is the nicest person. She took an interest in our activities and offered helpful tips and advice. We stayed two nights there. Rosaleen fixed up our room for us while we were out during the day. The room was huge, very clean, cozy, and comfortable. The house is beautiful too! And it is just a short walk down to Ross Castle. You have tons of options in Ireland for B&Bs (it seems everyone runs one). Please seriously consider Ross Castle Lodge for your stay in Killarney.
