Pros:
The location of the hotel is extremely convenient, as it is just a short walk from Rossio Square, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. It's similar to staying in the Qianmen area of Beijing, specifically like staying at the Shengqi Hotel, where you can experience both the energy of the city and moments of tranquility. The hotel’s prime location makes it easy to walk to various attractions and amenities, with excellent access to public transport as well. The room itself is spacious and thoughtfully arranged, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that adds to the comfort of the stay.
Cons:
The hotel does not have an elevator, and upon entering, guests are immediately faced with numerous steps, as the building is an older structure with very high ceilings on each floor. This can be particularly challenging for travelers with heavy luggage or those who have difficulty navigating stairs. It would be highly recommended for the hotel management to consider installing a simple lift on the first or second floor to make it more accessible for all guests. Additionally, it is unclear whether the unpleasant smell in the hallway is due to ongoing renovations, but there is a strong, lingering odor of sewage in the corridor, which can be quite off-putting. Furthermore, the street outside the hotel, while conveniently located, is a bit dirty and could benefit from some cleaning to improve the overall impression of the area. These issues, though, do not overshadow the overall experience but could certainly be addressed to enhance guest comfort.
