Rosslyn House

We cannot speak highly enough about our stay at Rosslyn House. Martin and Vanessa are wonderful, attentive hosts who made us feel very welcome. From little touches like the fresh cake in the room when we arrived and fresh milk in the fridge to the wonderful, home cooked breakfast, everything came together to make our stay memorable. Martin’s local knowledge and advice made it easier for us to plan our stay in Whitby and the great location makes it easy to walk or drive in to town. The ensuite room we stayed in was very comfortable and the whole house is tastefully decorated. Highly recommended if you are looking for a great place to stay in Whitby.

Our stay at Rosslyn House was wonderful. The hosts did a fantastic job. The decor was tasteful and attractive. Everything was clean and well kept. The breakfasts were excellent and there were "specials" for breakfast too. It was probably the cleanest room I have every stayed in. We thoroughly enjoyed trying the different breakfasts. Martin &NVanessa clearly care a great deal about what they do. Delightful!

If it was possible to give a score more than 5 we would. What a gem of a B&B this is and felt so homely. Stayed for the Christmas market weekend. Martin and Vanessa were so welcoming as soon as we arrived and nothing was too much trouble. Their communication and advise from booking to during our stay was gratefully recieved and reassuring. What made this stay more special was the little touches from arriving to a nice warm, spotless room to finding slices of fresh cake on the side with a jar of sweets as well as fresh cold milk and water in the fridge. The bed was one of the most comfiest beds we have slept in for a long time, that along with how quiet the area was made for an amazing sleep both nights. Not to forget breakfast, just wow. Fresh local produce, cooked and presented to perfection|No need to worry about parking, Martin gave us a free parking pass for the duration of our stay to park in any of the bays on the surrounding roads. We parked approx 50m away and never moved the car all weekend as its only a 2-3 walk into town.|Highly recommended Mister Chips for fish & Chips and Harry's bar for a few drinks. These were recommended by Martin and Vanessa and we could see why.|Can't recommend this B&B enough, we are looking forward to returning soon|Rob & Catherine

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4-night stay at Rosslyn House. We received a warm welcome from Martin on arrival. ||We opted for the SuperKing bed room on the second floor. It was very comfortable with extras (carrot cake on arrival, daily fresh milk in the room fridge, coffee machine with pods + biscuits) which elevated this B&B to 5 stars. . | |The whole property is very well-presented throughout and Vanessa's excellent daily breakfast options are served in the bright front dining room. ||It is in a quiet location a short downhill stroll into town.||One of the very best B&B's we've stayed in.

Another excellent stay. Perfect hosts, welcoming and friendly. Super breakfasts, excellent quality and choice. Rosslyn is extremely clean and comfortable. A nice, quiet road with safe parking. Simply brilliant. From the friendly welcome to the gorgeous comfortable room to the well cooked tasty breakfast, can't fault anything. Well located for the town and with a car park within 5 minutes walk if all the zone places have gone. Hopefully we will repeat our experience before too much time has passed! Thank you

Rosslyn is a 5 star B&B and the hosts are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble and are extremely knowledgeable about the area. Stayed in the interlinking room, so two doubles with linking door and was perfect for me and my mum for girls weekend away. Lots of lovely touches, robes, cake on arrival, coffee machine with pods but also instant coffee and proper milk in the fridge. Breakfast was plentiful and some lovely choices of specials to choose from. Parking permit provided for nearby on street parking. Very quiet, no undue noise even though we visited during regatta and folk festival weekend. Would not hesitate to come back again.
