The grounds are stunning, and the service was lovely. Our only complaint was that our room was right above the kitchen and until about midnight we heard nothing but loud clanking and crashing/banging as clean up was done. If you are open to staying in a more traditional style b&b room - with no real amenities in the room (no fridge, no kettle etc) then you will likely be fine. But if those type of amenities are important to you, I’d skip the overnight stay here. The food is the best I’ve had in NB, and the pool was perfect.

If you’re looking to relax and have a great meal, this is the place. Great romantic getaway. Make sure to take a walk up the trail in the back to the top of the mountain. The view is spectacular and worth the hike.

The Rossmount Inn is, in my opinion, the best restaurant in Canada. The food is consistently outstanding, with every dish prepared perfectly. The lobster cocktail, in particular, is absolutely amazing — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The setting is charming, the service is warm and attentive, and the overall experience is unforgettable. A true gem.

The ultimate in Continental cuisine in Eastern Canada. It's worth every mile to get here (or kilometer). This is why you have lived this long. 😉 You have waited long enough. Bon appetite! Oh, and climb the walking trail up Chamcook Mount after breakfast! ⛰️

Fantastic weekend getaway. The service was excellent, staff was kind and helpful, the rooms were nice. Spent a lot of time out by the pool, which was absolutely perfect in every way. Nice temp, very clean, lots of different seating options depending on sun/weather. Also did a trek up the mountain. Really cool history, took just under one hour to go up and return. There's a lovely lookout spot about 3/4 of the way up, make sure you don't miss it. Overall, a really great stay.

in the past 5 days, we had 2 fantastic evening meals and 1 breakfast at this FABULOUS location. The menu is very upmarket, innovative, using high quality (whenever possible) ingredients. the atmosphere in this heritage mansion is super relaxing, simple with plenty attention to detail. The service is so very attentive. Arrive early or stay later and take a stroll up the hill to appreciate the scenery and the garden. I would give it more stars if that would be possible.

Hardly ever write reviews but this place has an incredible menu. Service once we got a server was good, understandable on a Friday night. Good sized portions, not over sized as most places do round here. Special mention to the deserts which change daily, we had cheesecake and Swiss chocolate, both delicious and well presented. Best food in NB so far.

If you are looking for a fine dining experience you should plan a meal at the cozy dining room at the Rossmount Inn. We were a party of six visiting for the first time and were treated to an excellent meal with great service and excellent food. Our server Chris was outstanding in suggesting slight modifications to the menu offerings based on input from the group. He also handled the vegan diner in our group expertly and arranged for the chef to create a “surprise” vegan option that arrived at the table to a round of oohs and aahs from the non vegan diners. Desert and wine selection was excellent as well. Overall a lovely dinner in a cozy environment with great food that was expertly presented and served. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Our FAVORITE meal while we were in the Maritime provinces! Definitely a must if you're stopping in town or passing by The staff is super nice! If you don't have a reservation, you can still ordwr the menu in the bar area ---amuse bouche: such a great way to start the meal ---oyster shooters: fresh oysters, clamato juice! I usually dread Oyster shooters but these were so good ---shrimp terrine: never had a seafood terrine, great flavors ---scallop risotto: beautiful dish ---striploin: this cut of steak is not something we get in Cali If we're ever back in the area, you can bet we'll be back!

Yelp
Modest setting but fantastic food. Fresh, local, inventive. Locals recommended this restaurant and we weren't disappointed.

Yelp
We heard that everyone eats here when In the area, and I can see why! The decor is charming, the service attentive and the food is fresh, local and flavourful. We stayed at the Algonquin inn, who provided a free shuttle service to the restaurant.

Yelp
How much did I love this meal! We only dined at the restaurant and didn't stay in the inn but the meal was spectacular! Heirloom tomato salad, roasted spiced duck main with eggplant puree and roasted beets. The duck was cooked to perfection and the eggplant and beets were a perfect match. I loved the crispy spice skin while the meat was rare, tender and so flavorful. I believe the ducks are from a local pond in the area. The tomatoes, while a pretty common combination of tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil, and balsamic, you could really taste the quality in each ingredient. I can honestly say it was one of the best meals of my life. And despite it being one of the most amazing meals of my life it was very reasonably priced. For my main and starter it was $50. I was too full to eat dessert unfortunately but if I had, I'm sure it would have been amazing as well. I was with a party of 5, everyone had something different and everyone cleared their plates. From oysters, to lamb, to steak, to fish (I can't remember the exact type) done to perfection. If you're in the area and looking for a wonderful dining experience, I highly recommend the Rossmount.

Yelp
This was a special dinner for us. We started with the oysters what a way to start. Wonderful home made bread was delivered with a delicious butter. My husband had the tuna and loved it. I had the surf and turf, tender and delicious. Both meals were simply devine. I finished with dessert a poached peach dish, my husband had the creme brulee and he loved it. We were seated promptly, service was very well timed and we left very, very satisfied with our experience!

Yelp
The Rossmount Inn was highly recommended, and I had high hopes. They were surpassed like any other experience... We didn't stay, (although I hear the rooms are wonderful), but we had the Chef's Choice, a seven course extravaganza. I was so impressed at the quality of every single dish, from the cheese plate, to the fresh asparagus with duck confit, to the parsley sorbet and my favorite, the rack of lamb. Every course was memorable, creative and made with exceptional ingredients. I hate to gush on Yelp, but this is one of the best restaurants on the planet.

Yelp
Took a large group here (approx 40). The staff are efficient kind and attentive. The food O M G. You couldn't ask for better. By far the best in St Andrews. Not a single course needed improvement. They had the entire group in and out in 2 hours. For 3 courses that's amazing. No one complained about a thing. The decor is amazing, featuring local artists.

Yelp
My wife and I had a great experience Rossmount Inn. Their menu was incredible and had a wide array of gluten-free options. Since all items are very fresh and produced from scratch, almost all are available as gluten-free. This team was extremely helpful friendly and assisting to modify any of the fresh items to gluten-free. My wife had the Haddock and I had salmon and both were extremely fresh and very good. The service was extremely personalized and friendly and the experience overall was an A plus plus. The atmosphere was extremely romantic in this bed-and-breakfast settings. I would recommend to all family and friends.

Yelp
Rossmount Inn is the hidden gem of St. Andrews. I've stayed and eaten at this location a few times now and have never been disappointed. Most recently my husband and I went after our morning wedding so we could have a private dinner together, and it might be the best wedding decision we made. We got to have an hour to ourselves in an incredible location with amazing food and wonderful staff. In fact, the restaurant serves the best food I have ever had! The menu seems to constantly be changing and they always have amazing options. The food is all local; most of it being grown on the property itself. I recommend this location to everyone I know headed to St. Andrews - you'll regret it if you don't stop by!!! *****Heads up fellow veggies: They might not have anything listed on the menu as vegetarian but if you let them know you have a dietary restriction they will come up with something amazing just for you! This impresses me SO much!

Yelp
We are SO glad we found this place. We stayed at the Algonquin the week before, on our trip up the coast, and had planned to stay there on our way down, but opted for variety instead. The rooms were an added benefit, but the food was the star. Any place where you check in and there is a lobster tank at reception is sure to have seafood as an option, and these options were lovingly presented, discussed, and prepared. The vegetables were grown on the property (baby brussel sprouts and white carrots!), and I can't begin to describe thoroughly enough the delights awaiting you if you are lucky enough to get a reservation! Trust me, it's worth the stop. My new favorite cuisine is now Canadian. The only down side is the stairs, both at the entrance, and for the rooms, but, if you are up to the climb, it is only part of the charm. And the breakfast? Ah, the breakfast......home made muesli, eggs, meat, toast, and $8 each!

Yelp
Ate here while staying at the inn on a Thursday evening. The place was surprisingly busy. A pharma company was entertaining docs in the bar and I suppose several of them stayed for dinner too. The decor of the inn felt like I was in an Edwardian novel (very Brideshead Revisited). The meal began with a mini lobster croquette with a dab of spicy remoulade. It was quite tasty. For appetizers we got the PEI Savage Harbor oysters, which were excellent, as was the delicious "nibble" of crabcake over pickled fennel. One entree was broiled Atlantic salmon over fried green tomatoes, with a garden vegetable medley topped by the crispy skin. A well prepared dish. The other entree was venison with spaetzle. Even though it was braised, the venison was a bit dry and after a while the flavor was overpowering. (Again, another large dish; Canadian portions are substantially larger than those of similar restaurants in the US). The wine list by the glass was small, no more than 4-5. The bottle selection was larger and price was OK. Unfortunately, my most vivid memory of the restaurant is of the chairs. They were leather with poor support and very uncomfortable. The next morning for breakfast, I brought in a chair from the bar that had more support. I would give it a 3.5, but am rounding up to 4 because of the inventive menu.

Yelp
Rossmount Inn has tremendous praise in its reviews which is why we booked our only evening in Saint Andrews for dinner at the Inn. The restaurant did not disappoint, including a double rainbow from the front porch during dinner. Decisions, decisions, every item on the menu was appealing and the wine list was strong. My wife chose a salad and an appetizer and I had the same salad and scallops, each dish made a sumptuous contribution to what was an extremely satisfying meal. The salads were made with local vegetables and it showed. The mix of lightly steamed root vegetables blended wonderfully with the fresh cucumbers and tomatoes, all with splendid presentation befitting the venue. The Rossmount Inn is placed on a verdant hillside a few kilometres from Saint Andrews. In our case, a leisurely drive was a relaxing way to begin our evening followed by a satisfying drive back to our B&B under a magnificent full moon. Even if all the elements of rainbows, moons and the like don't come together, I am sure an evening at Rossmount will be one to remember. Ours was.

Yelp
Absolutely incredible. We came in on a quiet night in June and were overwhelmed by the amazing service. The food was so fresh and beautiful as well. Make sure to get the oysters, local fish, and incredible desserts. Coming from NYC, it didn't even seem all that expensive! The property is also great and i am so excited to go back next time I'm in town!

Yelp
Second visit...dine at the Rossmount last month! The lobster salad was amazing with all the flavors to compliment the lobster. Entree selected was the short ribs and loved it! All the plates that came to the table were beautifully prepared, nice plating with color! Hope to visit next month. :)

Yelp
Lovely, quiet spot with excellent food and friendly, helpful staff. Not in the town itself

Yelp
Elegant, beautiful inn with charming decor. We greatly enjoyed our stay, felt welcome, and the rooms were beautifully decorated with antiques. Everything was very clean, breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend!
