"Overseen by the same person who owns Kanpai (the Japanese izakaya dining establishment in the same street), Røst is another casual restaurant that serves up sharing plates. Sicilian chef Piermaria Trischitta mans the kitchen using seasonal, top-quality ingredients. To start, there are tasty mondeghili (Milanese meatballs) followed by pork belly as well as fish and vegetarian courses. To drink, there is wine from small-scale producers and natural vintners."

Hands down the best meal I’ve had in Milan so far. Everything was super tasty and you could tell every ingredient was carefully picked and put together. The staff was super friendly and made the whole vibe even better. Just a really great spot. Can’t wait to be back :)

We tried a lot of the different dishes and were impressed by every one of them. Had a great waiter that helped us pick out everything and find wine who suited the meal.

Enrico and the staff are simply amazing! They really know their stuff and the atmosphere is intimate, easy going and familiar (either you sit at the counter or at the table). The food is fresh and the menu changes regularly (we have been keeping going for dinner over months and never get bored). The wine offer is top notch bio and natural labels. You must reserve the table in advance!!

Amazing selection of wines (try the bottle fermented one!) fantastic dishes, great service. A few highlights (but I think they change the dishes regularly): the aubergine, the buttered cod, the meatballs.

Super laid back first night out when arriving in Milan. Staff sorted a table outside for us and made sure we were not rushed although we had a time slot on it. When the food came, multiple staff members checked in on the food. Wine list was nice, and another staff member came over to talk about it. We went home super satisfied and the food was exactly what we were looking for that night. Friendly people. Would go again.

The food was really good and the service was lovely. We were unsure what we wanted to choose and got some good recommendations that we all enjoyed. They had some delicious options with meat but the menu was also suitable for the vegetarian part of our group. Unfortunately they did not have a wine menu. We were recommended a good bottle of fizzy red wine which we enjoyed, however we could’ve appreciated a little more of a selection. I would recommend being upfront with what you’d like as they said they also have some elevated options and champagne which I unfortunately can’t tell more about as we were too tired for another drink after the food.

The dishes are small, so you have to order at least four and at least two starters, tapas style. However, the prices are not tapas prices but rather comparable to main courses in other regular restaurants. The dishes are good but not exceptional, with small tapas-sized portions. The selection of wines by the glass is limited. For two person we paid about €70. We had 2 appetizers, 2 main courses, bread and water, and 2 glasses of wine.

This place deserves a five+ star review. Their food is creative, healthy and comforting at the same time, well balanced, and so flavorful. Simply amazing. They serve natural wines and have a great selection by the glass. They had at least 15 bottles open the two times that I went there. The staff was helpful and polite. English speakers would do well here.
