I went to this place having booked in advance, so there was no waiting time. Cozy atmosphere and dishes that are both international and traditional. Plokkfiskur, a typical dish, was delicious in my opinion — just a bit too much pepper. Highly recommended. The restrooms are a bit far, but quite acceptable. I believe the building is also a shipbuilding museum or something similar. There’s a guitar and a piano available.

On our way to Reykjavik, we stopped here for an early dinner and were pleasantly surprised. The food was really decent and offered great value for money — especially considering that Iceland is generally expensive. Portions were satisfying, flavours were spot on, and the atmosphere made the experience even better. The surroundings are beautiful, with the charm of the sea lanterns and a few friendly cats roaming around, which for us (as cat lovers) was a huge plus and added to the warm character of the place. The museum nearby was closed during our visit, but if you’re just here for the food, it’s definitely worth the stop.

Röstin was a great find, our first experience of Icelandic cuisine. The plokkfiskur was really great. Making a gratin from fish is something I’d never thought of doing. The fish and chips looked good.

Food here was delicious. I really enjoyed the fish soup and the fish stew. The decor here was super cute as well.

👨‍🍳The chef was amazing! Honestly the whole Iceland trip we mostly stuck to packed lunches and airbnb cooking, but coming here was TOTALLY worth it. My mom is still talking about the cod she had here (3 days later). I had the barbecue chicken which was also delicious and the best was their salad (with that amazing house dressing). YUM!

The food, service, and atmosphere is hearty, comforting, and well-rounded. I'm excited to visit again some day! The Plokkfishur hashed fish, lamb steak, and soup of the day (sweet potato soup) were insanely good. The apple pie was simply amazing, I especially highly recommend that desert!! The staff were kind and courteous, the service was lovely. The atmosphere is comforting and calm. I absolutely loved it here.

Quaint restaurant, spacious seating with sea facing views. The mood is relaxing with 90s pop hits playing softly. We visited for lunch on a weekend afternoon and it was not crowded. The food here is great. We had the Fish and Chips and the Fire grilled lamb. The cod was fresh, moist and juicy and the batter used for the fish coating was light and crispy. The homemade fries were chunky, traditional tasting with a soft bite. The lamb was done medium. The lamb chops were sweet and soft. The potato wedges were golden brown. Both dishes came with a generous serving of salad. The food tastes natural and both dishes were very lightly salted but didn't need much sauce at all.
