Friendly, welcoming staff. We were 5 friends traveling for pleasure and each room was decorated differently. The antique furniture throughout the hotel and restaurant was amazing! There were clocks everywhere and the view from the rooftop restaurant was exceptional. It was centrally located and made visiting the city of Solothurn very easy. We all enjoyed our experience and would definitely stay there again!!

After biking for three days we finally stayed in a hotel that was quiet during the night. Yes, at 7 am the bell towers chimed and workers started hammering outside but from dusk to dawn with the windows open the outside noise was minimal. The room was a good size and the beds comfortable. Bathroom amenities were minimal (which isn't so great when one is traveling lightly) but I survived. I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed 2 nights here. The hotel is tight in the centre of the Old Town and it has a very unusual and interesting decoration (if you are into some "old style" stuff).||My bedroom was quite small, with a very small working table where a laptop barely fits.||The bed itself was comfortable but the pillow was too sofy and does not help having a good night sleep.||Bathroom is below standards for me, so small that you even have to wash your hands in the room proper...||Staff is very helpful, but if you're planning a night out, you need to take another key, as the doors will be closed around 11:00pm.

The thing this hotel has going for it is the central location with lots of bars and restaurants located near to it. |Other than that, I would say the hotel is average at best. Rooms are a good size with modern bathrooms. But the mattress was thinking and whenever I rolled over I could feel the slats of the bed. There was no heating or cooling in the room.|The breakfast was poor. Cold meats, bread, croissants, cereal and boiled eggs were the only things on offer. |I would return to the town but I would probably stay at another hotel

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel for business. The room is small with only a single bed, but is comfortable. Staff at breakfast are very efficient but the clock tower chiming on the hour and at every 15 minutes next door can be annoying if you are looking to sleep after a long trip from Australia. Location is great right in the heart of Solothurn.

An old hotel, very atmospheric and...serviceable. It's ok.. You pay for the location and the historic ambience. But it's all a bit creaky and I can't say the reception were helpful until pushed to be so.

A number of us checked in for one night in April '17. The staff were very friendly and efficient however the rooms are quire small with space between the wardrobe and bed very tight!||The hotel is centrally located on a pleasant square with an impressive clock tower next door and plenty of other statues and churches worth having a look at.

OK hotel with a very good central location. Staff is friendly. Rooms and lobby are average. Newly refurbished bathroom though, which was nice. Simple breakfast. OK for the money paid, as I got it on discount.
