Rothiemurchus Camp & Caravan Park

Wow just wow! This is our 3rd trip here and it never ceases to amaze me. This is definitely not a “pack em and stack em” site and each pitch is individual. My home from home caravan sat under trees and at the side of a small brook 😍. Toilets in the shower room are exceptionally clean. The manager and her husband are very knowledgeable and nothing is too much trouble for them-both very friendly and approachable.|If I could pick this site up and carry it around touring Scotland then I’d do it. Stunning campsite, we stayed an extra night because the forest is so beautiful. The toilet and shower facilities were excellent and very clean. Great location for exploring the forest. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. You can park your car relatively close to your tent pitch considering that you are pitching amongst the trees. We will definitely return!

Stayed here in a campervan. Gorgeous location with a calm relaxed vibe and the campervan hard standing pitches were scattered in amongst trees and bushes. The facilities were fantastic - wcs and showers were their own rooms rather than cubicles and the washing up area was spacious and well heated. Lots of lovely walks tho we only stayed one night so we'll definitely be back.

I would just firstly like to thank the park salf of the earth legends that are sue and Dean they was a massive help to me! I pretty much started my stay with a really bad back which happened over night nothing related to the campsite,sue and Dean stepped up in many ways with helping with some good medication,and helping me wash and sort my laundry! They went above and beyond you can tell they just don't work there for the wages! I honestly can't recommend this site enough,the park is immaculate and the walks around into the cairngorns are breathtaking,I could say alot more but I will leave it at that. Many thanks again to sue and Dean!

The campsite is really well equipped and the facilities are clean and excellent. Under the trees it's very warm and cosy.||We booked here as they advertise as very peaceful and tranquil with lots of room. However we found it quite crowded, a tent pitched very close to us late in the evening and unfortunately the guests kept us up till 2.30am drinking heavily and shouting/loud conversations. Even walking round the tents on the phone at 2am.||The campsite has a strict 10pm noise cut off so I was surprised noone had been out to check the area. Apparantly they only check at 10pm so any noise after that is your problem. I was surprised we weren't offered any refund after such an awful stay. We've genuinely slept better at music festivals.||It feels like they have a lot of rules here but nothing really happens to check they are followed.

Great wee campsite, fantastic location. Both in where the site is in relation to aviemore and the site itself. Staff super helpful and facilities super clean. 10/10

We loved this campsite from the moment we arrived. Set in the woodlands of Cairngorm national park it made for a picturesque view where ever you were pitched. ||We phone to let them know that we might be a bit late to arrive and they were very understanding, fortunately we arrived just before 6p.m. and where able to get checked in quickly by the friendly member of staff in reception.||We had driven up in a small camper and found the pitches were very generous so there were no issues with parking or using the awning. Although pitches were side by side we were far enough away from other people to not be disturbed by noise. ||The facilities were excellent, always clean and not too far away from where we were pitched. ||Whilst staying here we were treated to a view spotting's of Red Squirrels throughout the mornings which only added to the value of this site. ||If we are ever back in the area we will definitely be staying here again.

Very lovely site if you like a natural and quaint camping. Even when the campsite is fully booked there's still lots of space and privacy. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Great clean facilities as well! Defines one to come back to.
