Rothschild Safaris

We recently completed an African Safari, planned and executed with help from the team at Rothschild Safaris. They were with us every step of the way, from planning the itinerary to selecting accommodations and arranging transfers. With a long distance trip with so many transfers and things that could go wrong, everything went so smoothly, it exceeded our expectations! The guides and transfer people were all so kind and knowledgeable. Our accommodations were great. And of course, we saw amazing animals and sights along the way! We would definitely use Rothschild Safaris again if we were making a trip like this again!

I recently return from a 2 week, 4 camp safari experience in Tanzania and Kenya completely planned and coordinated by the Rothchild team. I could not be more pleased! The planning process with Aimee was thorough, she listened to exactly what I wished to accomplish on the trip and the experience matched it perfectly. All 4 of the venues were really quite different in terms of geography, animal viewing, camp accommodations and the other guests (almost all Europeans!) were fascinating and lovely. Every safari guide was not only really knowledgeable but also social and pleasant to deal with Every transfer was smooth, well-coordinated, and handlers clearly identified (which I very much appreciated - didn't need to think about anything!) To say we had the trip of a lifetime would be an understatement. Rothschild Safaris attended to every possible detail throughout our two-week trip to South Africa and Botswana. The accommodations in every location were luxurious with the most welcoming staff. The guides throughout our trip were beyond impressive, each with a unique and thorough knowledge of their specialty, ranging from food in Cape Town, wine in Franschhoek, and wildlife at the safari camps in Botswana. Rothschild did an incredible job of understanding and fulfilling our desires for this trip. The communication leading up to the trip was very complete and they were quick to answer any questions that arose. Throughout our journey, Rothschild checked in at every step of the way ensuring that this trip not only met, but exceeded, our expectations. I would recommend Rothschild again and again and will definitely use them for another trip in the future.

Where to begin, whether traveling to Australia or Africa, Leora and her team, leave nothing to chance. Our bespoke experiences included diving in the Barrier Reef on our own yacht, trekking to see gorillas in Rwanda and game viewing in Kenya. Rothschilds team is knowledgeable, professional and extremely diligent. And for their effort and hard work came the most memorable family experiences. Unsurpassed is the single word that comes to mind when I think of Rothschild Safaris.

There are a number of safari outfitters to choose from and we are so glad we chose Rothschild Safaris. We relied entirely on Ruthie, our travel designer, and she put together the trip of a lifetime covering 4 locations across Kenya and Tanzania. We received great treatment from the land and transportation teams, and the guides assigned to us made the journey very special. All guides (I think there were 8) were very personable, knowledgeable and so enthusiastic every day. There were too many memories to include here, but in addition to close-up viewing of lions and cheetahs, we got to see 2 Mara River crossings during the great wildebeest migration. Having such success on that trip, we soon asked Ruthie to plan another one for us, this time to Machu Picchu, followed by 5 days in the Galapagos Islands. This was another fantastic journey that was well-planned, plus in Peru we had the best guide we have ever encountered. Needless to say, we highly commend Rothschild Safaris. We have our sights set on a different safari and have already been in touch with Ruthie for her input.

Could not have been better! The team at Rothschild Safaris curated exclusive, personalized accommodations and experiences for us, not just once, but twice. We felt like celebrities without the celebrity price tag. Exceeded all expectations and our safaris to Zambia and Uganda surpassed my wildest dreams. Thank you, Leora Rothschild and team. We went on safari in August of 2022 with Rothschild and had a trip of a lifetime! We got to see Arusha National Park, Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the Northern Serengeti. We saw the Big 5 of animals and so many more! We also saw a wonderful and large crossing of the great migration at the Mara River. Everywhere we stayed was amazing and the people and guides couldn’t not have been more wonderful and accommodating. This whole experience was a bucket list experience for sure and Rothschild did a great job making it that way!

I interviewed a number of companies for our African safari and was so happy with our decision to use Rothschild Safari. Everything was perfect from the moment we landed in Nairobi to the minute we left two weeks later. They had every detail handled to perfection. Accommodations were exactly what we wanted, the schedule was perfect and the experience was a memory of a lifetime. We will use them again for our next adventure and highly recommend their services. They will not disappoint!
