Huge shout out to Chloe! First time shopper at Rothy’s. I went in on a whim because I injured my toe and needed fabric sneakers while on vacation in NYC. Chloe’s customer service was incredible. She helped me pick out sneakers and was so kind and welcoming.. one of the best shopping experiences! Thank you Chloe! Love my new sneakers!

I came in to do an exchange after Christmas and was greeted by lovely staff at this location. Drew provided exceptional customer service and ensured that I was able to get the shoes I was looking for. I will absolutely be shopping at this location again!

This was my first time shopping at Rothy’s, and thanks to Ryan, it definitely won’t be my last. From the moment I walked into the store, he was incredibly attentive—welcoming, knowledgeable, and patient. Later, when I had a few follow-up questions, Ryan was just as responsive and helpful, making the whole experience seamless and enjoyable. His thoughtful service left a lasting impression, and I can honestly say I foresee myself being a long-time Rothy’s customer because of it. Thank you, Ryan!

Love the shoes. Extremely comfortable. Worth the money. But the customer service was awful. I went on a Sunday morning soon after they opened. No one greeted me. I had to ask someone to help me after I had been standing there for a while. She did not introduce herself. The first 2 pairs I tried on didn’t fit quite right. So I asked if they had half sizes. She said yes and started to leave to get them. She then stopped, turned around and asked “Is that all?” in a very condescending tone. I must have been keeping her from something more important.

Terrible and racist customer service. I visited the Upper West Side store with my mom on October 6th around 5PM. There were two female staff members. One of them kept cutting me talk when I asked to try some shoes. When I asked if there are other colors of the mule I was trying on. She kept cutting me off and said she could not understand what I was saying. Very rude and racist towards me and my mom. Did not offer us to have a seat unlike other white customers. Very obvious that they did not want to talk to us. I wanted to buy a bag and a pair of shoes to my mom but I felt very uncomfortable and hurt so we left right away. Would like to get an official apology from the staff members.

I LOVE these shoes. I wasn’t sure what style of color of sneaker I wanted to try. We were traveling to New York and I was excited to come to the store in person. The staff were great. They answered all my questions and shipped me the color and size I wanted. I got the black lace ups and I truly wear them all the time. Looking forward to the next time I’m in New York so I can come check out some other styles I’d like to see in person!

First time I visited a Rothy's store. Shenia was very helpful in finding the right sizes in each shoe style and helping me select colors. The store has a wide selection of styles (maybe all the current styles), although not all the colors. It was the pre-Christmas sale so it was festive and the staff was professional, pleasant and helpful to the many customers.

Snooty, pretty woman type experience with the staff. I arrived sweaty, and a little disheveled, because of some commuting challenges, protest in Union Square!, but came in focused on a bag purchase. And was still very well dressed, even wearing a pair of Rothy's! I literally got no attention until I said I wanted to buy one. And blasé doesn't begin to describe the staff. It felt like I was bothering them doing a purchase. And let's be clear, the store was not packed. Also, not their fault, but bummed that the bag I wanted, to purchase in store (to have that instant gratification / in store experience), wasn't in stock. So after all my efforts of getting there in person to shop, I still had to have the bag mailed. My online Rothy's experience is always great, and I no longer feel the urge to go in store after this.

Bought a pair of boots there today. Male salesperson knows nothing about service. I asked him to show me a couple--mind you, just a couple--of styles to try on and he thrust the shoes, still in their boxes, at me. The acceptable thing to do, of course, is to at least open the boxes, if not remove the shoes entirely from their wrapping. I bought a pair anyway, and when I got home, I saw the salesperson had neglected to reinsert the cardboard shoehorns to maintain shape. Don't salespeople undergo any training at all these days? The store was not busy, btw, I was the only customer buying. I also overheard this same salesperson telling a customer who came in that the Rothy shoe sizes were "completely messed up."

My earlier review is not post about business information or store hours. It is a reflection of the customer service provided by the business. Rothy's itself contacted me to visit their UWS store to drop off product returns. After spending nearly an hour in transit, the store is closed and offers no means for me to drop off the return packages. (a) It is a waste of my time for the business to direct me to a non-existent location. (b) By providing incorrect information on how to return the product, the business is costing me additional resources to research and find alternative means of returning the product on my own. In any case, if the business would like to respond to my review, they can do so by posting a public comment to my review -- instead of privately reporting my review and having it silently removed.

Very helpful sales reps and adorable shoes! I heard about this brand and happen to walk by the Upper West side shop! The shoes are so comfortable and stylish!

The service personnel was extremely unhelpful. She seemed very disgruntled to be working there and kept looking at herself in a mirror while other customers were in the store. Very rude service when I went in to exchange the shoes that I got on line. First she gave me the wrong size shoes then she told me that I have to pay extra 20 dollars for an even exchange. The shoes were fine but the service was so off putting. She acted like a deer in a headlight when I asked her several simple questions. Really bad reflection on the Rothy's store to hire someone like that. I don't think I will be shopping in that store any more!

Not sure what the other customers are talking about in terms of bad customer service. The Rothys store was a dream. Greeted with a warm smile and helpful assistance with my shoes. This was a fantastic experience.

This store is absolutely NOT closed! Please don't pass them by based on incorrect information, as you'll be doing yourself a disservice. I've done business with Rothy's online frequently as a regular customer, but prefer to go through this store now that I've discovered how wonderful the staff is. Their customer service acumen is second to none and I'm always impressed by how well the staff know their product and can give such great advice on sizing, color-matches, etc. I see no reason to shop online any longer when I can instead give my support to these fantastic people.

I went to the Rothy's store on 68th and Columbus on Oct 6th at 5:15pm and had a horrible experience. First of all, we weren't greeted when we entered the store when four associates were clearly there, and no other customers. We browsed for a second as we waited for the associates to offer to grab us something and they never did. I moved closer to them and made eye contact to make it more obvious, and still no hello. I proceeded to get their attention by asking if they worked there and they snobbishly answered yes. When they brought me my shoes they disagreed with any of my sizing remarks, telling me I was wrong. Once I decided on the pair I wanted I asked if I could pay half cash and half card, and they snickered at me. Even the lady setting the visual display laughed at me. I felt bullied and judged. Once I paid they handed me my shoes without a bag and I asked for one but they didn't give me a proper shopping bag, and didn't apologize. I left feeling very upset at my experience and embarrassed for the leadership at the store that they would have such a pretentious team, who were unkind, and unhelpful. If I wasn't so desperate to get that pair of shoes at this time and I would not have purchased anything. I will not be returning to this location again.
