I’ve sampled buns from several Rotiboy outlets, and this location stands out as the best. I've eaten 28 buns in a span of 3 weeks. Shocking.
For comparison:
Pasar Seni – 1/10 stale
Emart Lintas Jaya – 1/10 stale
KK City Mall – 7/10 low on stock but good when available
SOGO – 6/10 friendly team, cheaper by RM 0.20 but tastes mild
Pavilion KL – 5/10 it's ok
AEON Bandaraya Melaka – 8/10 fresh and consistent
KLCC (closed) – 8/10 fresh
The buns here are consistently excellent—crispy on the outside, warm, buttery, and soft on the inside. Thanks to high demand, they’re always fresh and wonderfully fragrant.
Staff:😐😊
The staff can come across as curt or impatient, especially during peak hours—which is most of the time. The store operates with a lean team: one cashier and two bakers behind the scenes. Most staff members are Malay and speak basic English, but they tend to be noticeably friendlier when spoken to in Bahasa Malaysia. However, once you’ve built a rapport with the team by being a (cheerful) returning customer, they’re genuinely warm, friendly, and welcoming
