Rouge On Rose Boutique Hotel

Rouge on Rose was undoubtedly the highlight of our trip to South Africa and our stay in Cape Town. The hotel is welcoming, impeccably maintained, and offers exceptional comfort. Michel is an incredible person: polite, attentive, and someone who welcomed us in a truly unique way. We felt genuinely cared for and special throughout our stay. He is clearly an outstanding host who knows exactly how to make every guest feel extremely well looked after. In addition, Michel was incredibly helpful, providing valuable tips about the city, places to visit, restaurants, souvenir shops, and even assisting us with our car rental. The breakfast deserves a special mention. It’s absolutely delicious and made our mornings even better. We honestly can’t thank him enough or fully express how amazing our stay at Rouge on Rose was. We highly recommend the hotel and truly hope to return very soon.

Wonderfull huge room, balcony with beautiful views and nice owner and staff. It is in a safe area close to Alfred and Victoria Waterfront. Value is good. Rooms was very clean and noise level was good. Although it is on a road I did not hear a lot of noise. I needed to be up before breakfast time and in the evening they brought me a nice bowl with yoghurt, fruit and muesli, very appreciated. Thanks for my wonderful stay!

Michel and his team run an incredibly cosy, family hotel that we fell in love with. The suite was exeptional, the beds were very comfortable, the service exquisite and the breakfast sublime! I can't wait to visit again. We totally fell in love with Bo-Kaap and this hotel!

This is one of the best places we have ever stayed in any country or city. The proprietor, Michel, was very communicative and responsive about our stay, questions, etc. The staff from top to bottom were awesome in every way - they went to great lengths to assist with transportation, restaurant choices, directions and were just generally friendly. The breakfast was good, and again, the team was willing to accommodate any request. Special shout out to Chris who went over and above. The room itself was also great - roomy, clean and had all the amenities (can easily prepare modest meals in the unit). Would have given it 6 stars or more (if I could have).

Right in the centre of the beautiful Bo Kaap district and near all other attractions, this is the perfect home from home in Cape Town with the personal touch. Michel and all the team are so friendly and Michel really went out of his way to welcome me, advise on how to explore Cape Town and even offered a late checkout to fit in with my onward travel plans. The room was super comfortable and all in all a great antidote to corporate hotels. I hope to return soon.

I spent three wonderful days at Rouge on Rose and can only say that the experience was exceptional. The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming — they make you feel at home from the very first moment.||I stayed in a beautiful corner room: spacious, elegantly decorated, with a large bathroom and a bathtub — perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The room has many windows, is filled with natural light and fresh air, and offers a stunning view of Cape Town’s rocky landscape.||The location couldn’t be better: central, safe, and ideal for discovering the city on foot. Everything about this hotel contributes to a comfortable, peaceful, and inspiring stay.||Rouge on Rose is one of those rare places that truly exceed every expectation — it deserves more than five stars! I recommend it without hesitation.

We recently stayed at the Rouge on Rose Boutique Hotel from August 28th to August 31st, 2025, and it was a truly wonderful experience from start to finish. ||We were nervous about staying here but the location is fantastic, right in the heart of the beautiful Bo-kaap neighborhood with excellent views of iconic colored houses from our rooms. Michel and Chris were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. They had great breakfast options and whatever we tried are delicious.||Thank you, Michel, Chris and breakfast staff, for such a memorable time!

My sons just gave a surprise journey to Cape Town and they had booked this really nice boutique hotel. All people at the hotel made it an extraordinary experience, the very kind and welcoming owner, the lady who arranged fabulous breakfast (both by palate and look) and the receptionists. I travel a lot since many years and can recommend it highly.
