Absolutely Outstanding!! 10 out of 10! The soup du jour was the crawfish broil, it was delicious. I ordered the red fish, one of the best dishes Ever!! Compliments to the Chef. Also, have to mention my server Mirah was fantastic as well. If you’re driving I-10, they are just a few minutes down the street. I will be back again and again.

Sadie took care of us at the bar. Happy hour was a great kick off, and samples of the menu, since we were first timers, helped us make choices on gumbo and beers. The cherry duck was fabulous! Had the boudin dip to start and the duck/andouille gumbo and a Cobb salad. What a creative menu.

Very nice quiet atmosphere. We have been here several times and always have a great experience. We had the Shrimp & Biscuit appetizer as pescatarians I would rate this a 6/10 the sauce may have not been pescatarian friendly. The biscuit had a strong rosemary taste. For my entree I got the Yellowfin tuna over the potato cake I would rate a 9/10. Our waiter was very pleasant and respectful of our conversation when he visited the table to take our orders and refill our drinks. Overall experience 10/10

Every dish had an interesting twist, but every bite was delicious. Happy hour specials were excellent and one served as a great side dish. The Tuna Ponchartrain was complex, rich, and perfectly seasoned, yet not too heavy. Note: we went at a quiet period (5pm on a Monday), so that may change the atmosphere experience from prime time.

Rouj Creole is one of the top Cajun restaurants in Baton Rouge. From start to finish, the dining experience was excellent! Ordered the Seafood Gumbo and the Filet Rouj, and both exceeded expectations. The gumbo had the perfect balance of flavor, rich and hearty without being overly salty, making it a fantastic appetizer. The Filet Rouj was outstanding: the tenderloin was cooked to perfection and paired beautifully with the mashed potatoes and crawfish cream sauce. Every bite was flavorful and well-executed. Service was attentive, which made the meal even more enjoyable. Overall, Rouj Creole delivers on both food and hospitality, and will definitely be returning to explore other dishes!

The Chipotle shrimp and salmon dish are great. The crab cakes and desserts are so so. The sangria is on point. The staff was really nice & helpful.

Stepping into "Rouj Creole" felt like a breath of fresh air – a vibrant, modern take on Creole charm. The food was really good. Every bite was a delightful explosion of traditional Creole flavors elevated with modern finesse. Service was great – attentive without being intrusive. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, offering excellent recommendations and ensuring our drinks were always refreshed. The pacing of the meal was just right, allowing us to savor each course. Overall, Rouj Creole earns a solid 4.5 out of 5 from me. It delivers on all fronts: delicious, innovative Creole seafood, a welcoming atmosphere, and good service. My wife and I stopped by Rouj Creole at Perkins Rowe for lunch today, and overall it was a really enjoyable experience. We ordered the blackened redfish with Brussels sprouts, the andouille and shrimp pasta, and shared the Thai-ger shrimp as an appetizer. We also had a Cobb salad and corn maque choux on the side. The highlights were plentiful — the redfish was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, the pasta with a double and shrimp was rich and satisfying, and the Thai-ger shrimp was a great way to start the meal. Even the Cobb salad stood out as fresh and well put together. The only dish that didn’t quite shine for us was the corn maque choux. It was fine, just a bit plain compared to the rest of the menu and didn’t have that extra something we were expecting. That said, everything else was excellent and more than made up for it. Great food, solid atmosphere, and a place we’d happily return to — especially for the seafood dishes. 5 stars with the exception of the corn marque choux. Our server, Semaj, was professional, pleasant and accommodating.

I took my lovely lady out on a date here Saturday night, and my experience at Rouj Creole was fantastic!! I highly recommend the Thai-ger Shrimp appetizer. HUGE shrimp fried to perfection topped with a sweet glaze. It was one of the best shrimp dishes I've ever had. Our server (whose name I cannot remember) was very professional and knowledgeable. Our drinks were also very tasty. Overall, I would definitely recommend Rouj Creole for date nights, drinks with friends, or if you just feel like eating some incredible food!

OH MY GOODNESS! Everything, absolutely every part of the dinner we have couldn't have been better. Just WOW! The food options on menu were refreshing to my eyes! The options reached far more than typical of Cajun, Creole flavors of what I expect as a restaurant that serves local cuisine. I was torn between lamb and duck entree. I ended up choosing lamb and I should make my next reservation soon to try the duck! The red wine from Oregon complimented PERFECTLY. It was just phenomenal!!!

I really enjoyed this place for the drinks and atmosphere! It was the perfect place for my twins and I's 27th birthday dinner! The lemon drop martinis we got in all the flavors- strawberry, blueberry, and mango plus the French 75s were amazing! The Cobb salad was also great! My only complaint was the crawfish cream sauce on my steak. The crawfish tails were very fresh, fishy/unseasoned like and really took from the overall enjoyment of the steak/cream sauce combo. The garlic mash potatoes were perfect coupled with the steak I just hated that the crawfish were so disappointing. The Thai shrimp app was also delicious. Honestly also think they're a bit overpriced for the portions and food quality but would come again for their happy hour. The drinks were 10/10. Service , the wait staff, and our personal waitress were also great!

Amazing place for a fancy date night or girls night out! The staff was so attentive and knowledgeable, the atmosphere is classy, and the food was amazing! ROUJ SANGRIA Red Wine, Sherry, Lillet Rouge, Citrus Juices, Green Apples, Red Grapes, Simple Syrup BAKED BRIE - this was amazing pepper jelly, granny smith apples, parmesan crostini CRAB CAKE MAISON seared crab cakes, house remoulade, chimichurri, fresh pepper salad, corn maque choux 160Z RIBEYE mushroom-shallot red wine demi glaze GARLIC MASHED POTATOES - side item. Not my favorite

Continues to be some of my favorite seafood in town! I always have to get the eggplant. Had dueling bowls of gumbos and finished both! Love the dark roux of the duck and andouille, and the tang of the seafood gumbo. Our waiter was wonderful, quick and attentive. Helped us celebrate my birthday with a treat too good I forgot to let me phone eat ;)

Rainy Wednesday night in BTR I met a friend for dinner at Rouj. His family are regulars at Rouj and he chose the restaurant - a good choice Environment is upscale but not stuffy and a nice place to grab a happy hour drink We started with the smoked brisket arancini - delicious! Crispy and hot with plenty of gravy to mop up - easily big enuff for 2 to share For entree I had chicken paillard, chicken cutlet, beef dirty rice, haricot verts, tasso cream sauce - honestly one of the best pan fried chicken dishes I've had. Cooked perfectly, not dried out, tasso cream sauce was great! When in BTR Rouj definitely warrants consideration for your dinner needs

Food wasn't great at all. Food was over priced. Shrimp po-boy was bland. The pasta was so rich you couldn't eat it. Service was slow took forever for us to get our food. I was ready to ask for a ticket and to leave. The place was clean and nice. Don't think we will ever return.

What a find! My wife and I stopped in Baton Rouge for a Friday evening and this gem was near our hotel. Located in a great area of town, the inside was equally clean and well appointed. Mariah was our server and an absolute joy to talk with and she provided great recommendations! I had the Redfish and my wife had the salmon and both were exceptional. We both agreed it was the best meal we have had in a loooong time. Don't miss this place.

Sunday brunch with the family... Decided to choose for the family instead of them taking us to their normal spots. I picked this after seeing it suggested a couple of times by TikTok and I was not disappointed. We went during brunch time on Sunday. It was not packed and the service was fast. I made a reservation because of my party size. I didn't want to leave it to chance. Our server Hayden made sure we were okay and informed me of the mimosa pricing for brunch. That is where I started. I had the country omelette, which included bacon and grits...no complaints. My parents had the gumbo and the plates were clean! My son ordered shrimp and grits, I looked away for a minute and I'm not sure he took a breath, vacuumed everything. My daughter ordered the kids French toast and she loved it. It had a nice crust all over which gave it the right amount of crunch (I hate soggy French toast). Overall this was a great pick!! When I thought about pictures...our plates were clean‍

We dined at lunch. Restaurant was empty and did not fill up. Service was good. Atmosphere ok. I started with the sensation salad. There was absolutely no taste to the salad at all. Dressing had no flavor or was nonexistent. My lunch was salmon with the brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts were hard as a rock so much so that a knife would not go through them. Needless to say I sent them back. Replaced with green beans which was a better choice. Now, the salmon. Oh my. So overcooked. Almost tough if that could be a thing with fish because it was cooked too much The only reason I didn't send it back was because I was embarrassed to do so after having sent back the brussel sprouts. Won't be returning or recommending.

Their food was just amazing!!! The crab cakes are very good, filling! Our server was very attentive and sweet! Would recommend!

The menu has changed since I last visited but still satisfied with the amazing entree options. The service is excellent and food extremely fresh. Always a great spot to visit in the city.

Rouj Creole is an amazing southern classic restaurant with phenomenal food - your taste buds will not be disappointed! We started out with the Thai inspired fried shrimp that were perfectly golden fried with a sweet, tangy, and spicy sauce that was perfection (this was not extremely spicy by any means). Two of us ordered off of the brunch menu - both a grits dish - which were savory and delightful. The grits & grillades were extremely rich but the biscuit added a nice touch. If you're looking for a dish on the lighter side, highly recommend the sensation salad. Their sensation dressing is by far the best sensation in town. I could go there everyday just for the salad! Service was super quick, prompt, and the young lady waiting on us was super bright and cheery which made for a pleasant dining experience. We went around 2pm on a Sunday. While the restaurant wasn't full by any means, they still had a decent crowd. We never felt rushed. Highly recommend Rouj Creole if you're in the area!

What a fantastic meal! They brought back the mussels and frites, and they were even better than we remembered. The BBQ shrimp and biscuits had an absolutely delicious sauce. We had an excellent bottle of Chablis, that made everything even better. Both entrees, the redfish and salmon were tasty as well. Service was impeccable. Rouj never disappoints, and is better than ever.

Great happy hour with excellent bar bites and dips along with some of the best gin & vodka martinis in town. All of the staff and managers are full of smiles and seem happy for our patronage

Rouj Creole is an excellent restaurant for a nice Sunday brunch. I must say the playlist was superb and served as a great background for great conversations over food and drinks. The sangria was perfect! It was delicious and it was a great portion size. I ordered the shrimp and grits in which the grits are purple in color. The waiter made sure to mention this detail upon ordering. The purple grits were phenomenal and the shrimp served as an excellent topper. I can't wait to visit this great establishment again.

Mom and I went out to dinner to Rouj at Perkins Rowe tonight. Good food, more than competently prepared. Mom wanted to try the hummous, which was tahini-heavy (which I prefer!) and the flatbread actually had a good Zaatar sprinkled on. Chefs seem to be fairly salt blind across the board these days. The previous three nights at comparable local spots were all marred by extreme saltiness, but it wasn't too salty at Rouj. The art and other decorations in the dining room were original and really thoughtful. I know that in the south, and especially at this time of year, football is a distraction. I dine out for the food, not watching people beat each other up. I'm not a fan of having multiple bright displays flashing inside of the dining room, but there's always French Laundry back home, I guess. The service was fantastic; I loved the server who put me at ease and patiently helped me figure out what I wanted to eat. Very reasonable pricing on our meals, and the creative dishes (a crawfish and cheese thing, butterbeans and tasso....) were really nicely done.

White table cloth quality food and service in a less formal environment. I would have given 5 stars but the restaurant seating, tables and dining room is more diner or fast-food style in my opinion. However, even in this setting, the experience was outstanding. Some of the social media menus that are posted in apps like yelp, showed a few non-traditional meats (Elk, Bison, Ostrich, etc.) on the menu. We were told that those offerings are no longer available and were from a previous chef. Our Dining party tried 6 different Entrees and 4 different appetizers. Every one of these dishes was outstanding. We would definitely return.

Very aesthetically pleasing but not my favorite in terms of food. It was a nice experience but I probably wouldn't go back.

Stopped in on the 4th of July with my husband, and the vibes for a date night were on point. Our server was nice as well. We weren't that hungry so we didn't order much to try (went without dessert which should tell you what kind of a night we were having right there). What we went with (baked Brie, crab cakes) was alright but maybe a little too pricey for what it was. Maybe my appetite was just off that night. But the ambiance was there and I would go back to try more items.

So a friend I were looking for a place to have dinner. The initial place we wanted to go to couldn't seat us so she called Rouj Creole and they were. It had been a while since I had eaten here like years and I didn't remember much about the visit so this was like my first time again. 1. It's a vibe. Well lit nice bar and ppl dress nice to come. 2. Server Dallas was AMAZing! Very knowledgeable about the menu and just very welcoming . 3. The food was good. Crab cake was decent I prefer more crab meat but it was seasoned well Shrimp and crab meat ball pasta was good I would order without the meat ball more shrimp. The flavor of the sauce was good with the shrimp the meatball was too much for me Brownie 10/10 It was good, I went back for lunch with some coworkers. Here is when it gets tricky. It wasn't busy but the server had a big top which punched the kitchen back so getting food was slow and we were on lunch Brussels 10/10 I had them for appetizer and entreee I ordered the chicken over dirty rice with Tasso sauce and it was 2/10 the chicken didn't look cooked and the sauce was off putting I will go again but will stick with what I know is good

Let me tell you about the manager name Stick, he was great. My job staff made reservations for our Christmas Luncheon. It was packed of course because it was around the holidays. There was a seating issue, but Stick apologized for the inconvenience & had my team seated; he also sent over complimentary appetizers. There server was great. The food & drinks was was delicious; Ill let the pics do the talking. The ambiance felt amazing. Definitely will return.

Nice night out with friends. Good was delicious with substantial portions. Wait staff were attentive and polite. Decor is good and there is a side room for large groups. The seating arrangements (tables) are close but not overly packed. I would recommend and return. Food and drink are pricey but it is an upscale restaurant. So be prepared for $$$ and $$$$

First off the service was impeccable. The waitress was amazing! She gave recommendations, let us try a sample of the gumbo because we were being indecisive. She was attentive and kept our waters full. Food wise: we tried the Thai-ger Shrimp, baked Brie, boudin dip, feta whipped Brussels, duck and andouille gumbo and garlic salmon. Things I liked: the Thai-ger shrimp was delicious! Had a nice crispy outside and the pineapple slaw was delicious and not overly sweet. The Brie was yummy had no complaints. The Brussels were a 10/10! Some of the best Brussels I have ever had. And the garlic salmon was cooked perfectly. The garlic sauce was fabulous and the asparagus on the plate were huge! Things I didn't enjoy: the boudin dip was lacking in flavor a bit especially with dipping it with the crackers. I tried the seafood gumbo and wasn't a fan so I ordered the duck and andouille gumbo. I enjoyed the flavor unfortunately the rice was undercooked I had very hard pieces and there was a bone in my gumbo.

My husband & I decided to make dinner reservations for Rouj Creole while he was in town. Making reservations was super easy & we didn't have any wait once we got there. We both love to try a variety of dishes to get a little bit of everything a place has to offer. We started off with the appetizer of Pepperjack Boudin Dip, it was basic, but delicious! My husband ordered the La Vodka Seafood Pasta, it was also very good! For my entree I ordered a Creole French Dip sandwich. Now, this was the star! Everything was perfectly seasoned, and our waitress was so precious. It was a very relaxing atmosphere. I can't wait to go back!

Don't miss the duck andouille gumbo. The fish dinner is also excellent and we love the brussels sprouts.

"This all looks so good. I'm having a hard time picking." -My Mom I completely agree and am so happy I booked a reservation here for my birthday brunch. The food tastes as great as it looks. Top notch textures with the crunch of the boudin and soft whip of the garlic mashed potatoes. Then for my free birthday dessert I got the apple pie nachos and wow... just wow. Hands down the best pie nachos I've ever had. We had Collin as our server and he took such good care of us. The place was packed! The dining room and bar set up is gorgeous. Definitely make that reservation. Seemed to be fit for many crowds and even had a huge private room.

My friends and I popped in for Happy Hour (half-price) drinks and apps and had a lovely time. I ordered the Spritz Blanc which was Elderflower liqueur and champagne with a lemon twist. Tasty and refreshing! My friend liked the Strawberry Lemon Drop so much she had three of them. For socials we got the Baked Brie, Thai-Ger Shrimp, Classic Chargrilled Oysters, and Feta Whipped Brussels, all were excellent. It was well-prepared, filling food at a great price. The next day my friend realized she had left her credit card at the restaurant and they had kept it safely for her.

I went here with my BF for brunch. We got there when it opened and there was of course a lot of open seating, but by the time we left around 12 it was definitely filling up. The decor was very nice, and the open floor plan was refreshing. The service was mediocre. Our server took awhile to greet us and she did not check on us often. I got the chicken fried chicken with eggs and it comes with mashed potatoes and my bf got shrimp and grits. We also got mimosas to drink. The mimosas were good but the fact that they didn't offer a bottomless option was disappointing. My dish left a lot to be desired. The presentation was not appetizing and you couldn't see the chicken under the eggs. While the eggs and mashed potatoes were well seasoned the chicken was not and was bland. I wouldn't go back for brunch but I am interested to check out their happy hour.

We were a part of a group that visited this restaurant for a friend's birthday. The location in Perkins Rowe was very busy on a Sunday afternoon. We had the Thai Ger Shrimp for an appetizer. It was a small serving size for our group. Only four shrimp with the slaw. Several people ordered the catfish and grits including myself. The was a good dish but really lacked seasoning.

Just had the arancini and cobb salad. The appetizers are half price during happy hour as well as some great drink specials. Service was quick and pleasant. Definitely recommend.

Wow, I was very impressed with my Birthday Party Dinner. The vibe is upscale, dress to impress type of night. We pick two appetizers that were fresh and hot. Our entrées were to die for, and all the tables around us were satisfied as well. This restaurant is a "No To-Box Needed Night"! -CRAB CLAWS sautéed Louisiana blue crab claws, cayenne butter, giardiniera / $20 -SHRIMP + GREEN TOMATO NAPOLEON green tomatoes, boiled shrimp, remoulade, avocado, green onion / $16.

First time visiting Rouj Creole this Saturday night. Our server was Murphy. I have a work event here next week, so I was excited to see what they were famous for before we go as a group. We started off with the pepper jack boudin dip and it was mid. Tasted like spicy velveto cheese with seasoned crackers. For entrees, I got the crab cake maison and my husband ordered a bone in 24oz ribeye, but he didn't receive that. They brought out a 16oz ribeye by mistake. Husband was super bummed about that, but the server apologized. It is what it is! The steak was good, with yummy green beans. Seasoned well. For dessert, I had a free dessert coupon given from yelp. We showed our server the coupon and ordered the Apple pie nachos, which were good! They probably were the best food we ate during our trip to Rouj Creole. Not enough Apple pieces though. They had like 6 little cuts of apple on them. When we got our bill, the dessert was on the ticket anyway. Thank God we looked, but we got it fixed. We will see how next week goes!

Decently surprised by this new (to us) spot. Love their brunch menu. Not the biggest fan of breakfast, so got more of a lunch entree and it was great. The service was great at advising us based on what we were looking for. The ambiance was a bit full and close to other big parties.

My second time here did not disappoint. The crawfish hash was insane! I though I would have leftovers but myself and my friend demolished it. The catfish and grits was also great. I like my grits a bit more creamy but the dish was still good overall. Our server was wonderful and attentive. The restaurant is always buzzing with guests but I've never had a long wait to be seated. Highly recommend.

I love the ambiance and decor of this place. I'm giving it a 3 because the food was underwhelming. Me and my GF went for brunch Sunday morning. We got there right at open so the service was nice and quick. We did have to wait a little long for her to start but once she started she was good. We both got what I think is staples of bunch in the south. She got chicken eggs snd waffles, I got BBQ shrimp and grits. I will say I liked hers more than mines. For the grits they use coarse blue grits which tends to be a little sweeter. The shrimp were a nice size but a little over cooked. I give the whole dish an overall 2.5. My Gf has the chicken fried chicken and eggs. I will say it was pretty good. I wish I would have gotten that. The only thing I would done is added a little more seasoning to the chicken. I give hers a 3.5. If we go back I'll be getting that or maybe try the waffle sliders. Overall atmosphere and service carried the experience.

We came during happy hour and we're not disappointed! For happy hour, all the appetizers and drinks were 1/2 price, so we ordered a few apps. The shrimp appetizer (I don't remember the exact name) was delicious. The shrimp were battered and covered in a yummy Asian sauce. Set on top of a bed of chutney, this dish had lots of dynamic flavors that mixed well. I also got the boar nachos, which tasted great and had lots of meat on them. I would get both of these dishes again. There were several other menu items that sounded great. I would certainly come here again, especially during happy hour!

We went here for a birthday dinner. It was a large group of us and we were seated quickly. The food came out fairly quickly and it was delicious. I would probably get it with less capers next time. My sister in law ordered the apple pie nachos and they were ok. Some of the chips tasted burnt and the skin on the apples was off putting.

We dine here for a date night while our daughter was eating hibachi with her friends. The wait wasn't to bad. We were seated in about 45 minutes. I had a burger and fries which was good. We will definitely return.

Started off with a bang, but fizzled out. The apps we ordered - crawfish boudin balls & Thai-ger shrimp - were great. However, the sandwiches were ordered weren't good at all. I had the sweet tea-brined chicken sandwich w/ bacon and pimento cheese, and it lacked flavor and the bun was very dry. It looked great, but tasted like a mouthful of meh. My wife had a debris poboy which again, looked great, but was under seasoned and not very tasty. My mother, on a previous visit, had a burger that she said was outstanding. This time, the bun was so hard and dry that she couldn't eat it. Our server took it back and told the manager, and then reported to us, "She said she'll take care of it" yet when we got the check it was still on there - wasn't removed from the bill, no discount, nothing. Very disappointing ending to the meal that started out so promising.

This is positively one of the best creole food restaurants we have been to, and we have been to dozens of them here in this area

It was our first time dining here. The atmosphere was really nice and upscale. I liked the service, our server was pleasant and patient with us because we had trouble navigating the menu. The food was over priced and not good at all. I wouldn't waist your time or money on dinner. I'm looking to try their brunch menu.

This is a pretty good restaurant. It's off of a busy street in front of a mall, so pretty noticeable.  We came on a Sunday, early evening...it wasnt super busy, but had some full tables. The staff was attentive and friendly. Nice decor. THE FOOD:  We ordered Oysters for an app. 1/2 dozen raw and 1/2 dozen "Classic Oysters" (chargrilled with cheese). Horseradish and cocktail sauce were really good. Oysters,  super tasty. For entree, we had Redfish Roulade stuffed with cornbread stuffing, and Fish Beurre Blanc with crab topping. A side of Pepper jack grits with it! The Redfish Roulade was a nice, flaky, tasty fish that retained sweetness from the cornbread stuffing. The outside was seasoned well and had nice spice taste. Candied carrots and vegs super Apple cinnamon nachos with vanilla ice cream was great. The Beurre Blanc started a bit bland, but got better with some Crystal Hot Sauce. At the end, it was very good. Fried artichoke hearts sweet.

This has become one of my favorite Happy Hour spots. The staff is always nice, the food and drinks have been good. I've tried a lot of their socials (apps) and my top 2 favorites right now are the Baked Brie & the Sweet Crawfish Pudding. They're both amazing! The Crab Claws, Fried Green Tomatoes, Moules Frites, Duck Beignets, Feta Whipped Brussels and Crawfish Boudin Balls are a couple of my other faves. A couple of those aren't available anymore which sucks but I like that they keep their menu fresh by adding new socials on there periodically. The Classic Chargrilled oysters are also delicious! I love all the cheese they put on them. The Creole French Dip & the Prime Rib Sandwich were my 2 favorites but unfortunately they're no longer available so the Sweet Tea Chicken is my alternate. I didn't have a good experience with the Debris Poboy but I might give it another try one day. If you're into salads the Shrimp Remoulade is really good and it's pretty big. As far as drinks go the Hummingbird and the Moscow Mule are my 2 favorite Happy Hour drinks. They're both very refreshing. They also have some cute little outdoor tables for those days when you want to enjoy the nice weather. If you haven't been here you should definitely check it out.

*this review is for happy hour only I love the vibe inside and out of this place. Located in a corner unit steps from Perkins Rowe, this place doesn't look like a former Applebees. It looks like a cool place to come grab a cocktail after work that's a little upscale but not pretentiously so. The waitstaff is always super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and great with suggestions on food and wine and service is timed well with food coming out quickly and hot! Let's speak some truths now - Stephen Hightower knows how to do happy hour and Rouj Creole is no exception. ALL Socials are half off. They have $5 cocktails, $5 select wines, 1/2 off draft wine and I'm pretty sure most of the beer is half off. Monday - Friday 2-6pm. The wine selection is delightful, normally with a few red options, a white, and a sparkling. The real star though, is the food. Our go tos are the Baked Brie (ooey gooey with a little bit of sweetness served with a mound of their delicious crostini), the crab claws (because I'm a sucker for a delicious marinated crab claw and this is no exception), and the fried green tomatoes with the shrimp remoulade. By go to, I mean my girls and I are here at least once a month for happy hour. It's a great place to unwind after work and I can't wait to go back soon!

This place had been talked up by one of my friends for the apple pie nachos so we decided to stop by. Once we had arrived the wait for the table was an hour so we opted for the bar. We found a couple seats and we're finally greeted by a bartender by the name of Seth. My friend ordered a strawberry lemon drop martini that arrived with out the strawberries the first time but he quickly fixed. He then allowed us to sit for about 15 minutes before coming to get our order. Simply because he never came back. So long in fact one of the cooks came out and said " y'all have been looking at menus for a while" and told Seth to come take our orders. I've been out of the serving game for a couple years but I was taught to make suggestions and upsell my menu. Especially if my guest needed a bit of a push. Recommend something! Seth finally comes over. My friend orders first and then Seth dashes over to the POS and puts her order in. We had to get his attention AGAIN and told him I also wanted something as well. I opted for the Shrimp and Bacon salad and Baked Brie appetizer. Another 15 mins pass and Seth stops by to say "oh I forgot we are out of the Baked Brie..." So I then order the Fried green tomatoes. I opted out of ordering a drink from this man due to his incompetence. You could have easily increased your ticket sales. My salad that Seth ordered after my friends order had been pushed through came out first! The bacon vinaigrette was awful. You know what happens to bacon grease when it's gets cold right? Yeahhhh I wasn't eating that. It looked like nothing but bacon grease and olive oil. No seasoning , no bacon bits, just oil... I sent it back. My fried green tomatoes finally come out it looked like I ordered avocados with a side of green tomatoes. It was so much! Then they stacked the avocados right on top of that tomatoes now I'm eating soggy fried green tomatoes....Nevertheless it was still pretty tasty. I also found 1 small chunk of shrimp in my avocado shrimp remoulade. Martell the other guy behind the bar helped us the rest of the night because after we placed our order we never heard from Seth again..didn't even look our way. But he was behind the bar the entire time.. My friend had ordered a shrimp po boy that took close to 45 before coming out. Martell continuously checked on our order for us which we really appreciated. He was the savior for the night. Thank you Martell!!!
