Round Rock is similar to many of the "Mom & Pop" inns on the island. It's very simple, quirky, with sometimes odd room layouts as if they were designed on the fly as they were being built to accommodate a tree or property line. Appliances sometimes don't match and decor is simple. But it IS clean and comfortable, and is situated on a small cliff overlooking the ocean. Breezes coming through the windows are plentiful. It's a short, five minute walk to the beach which happens to be one of the top kite-surfing beaches in the world. On any given day, you could meet people from virtually every continent on the planet. The area is very quiet, with only the sounds of the wind and waves crashing against the rocks, and maybe the occasional fishermen who frequent the area. The property has a restaurant that serves lunch and dinner everyday, but as I was part of a large group and we prepared our own daily meals, I've never eaten in it. The menu is typical Bajan fare. I do wish they would add an appetizer menu- I would have been all over that! I've stayed at Round Rock twice now and have enjoyed both of my stays, as did everyone else in our group (about 20 of us).

Stayed here in May 2017 for 4 nights / 5 days. Windsurfed every day. The hotel is on the water about 50 yards east of Silver Rock beach launch - walk on a rocky path alongside the waves to get to the sand - recommend footwear for the path - the rocks are sharp. The apartment was clean and properly maintained. There was a fridge, stove with oven, toaster, microwave, pots, pans, cutlery & crockery. Great value for money so close to Silver Rock windsurfing beach launch.

I ate lunch here at their lovely little restaurant over looking the ocean recently when I was on a HF walking holiday.||All I had was a hamberburger and chips..maybe some salad too, but it was fresh and one of the best meals of the trip !! The food and the view was excellent. ||I did NOT stay at the apartments...the group was staying elsewhere, but I certainly might give it a try the next time I am in Barbados !!!! The area is beautiful, but slightly remote ....although Miami Beach , which looked great, is not too far away. If you rented a car, it would be fine.

+ Access to the Silver Rock kite beach is 3-5min walk so it is very easy to bring your gear or forget something ;-)||+ Competitive price||+ Clean||+ It has a kitchen with microwave, gaz stove, oven, coffee machine,... so you can cook without going to restaurant all the time||+ Large balcony with view on sea with tables and chair so you can have apero/eat /surf on the web outside||+ Internet works well (I.e is not slow)||+ Very nice for small kids as most of the place is quite secure to let them run around with few exceptions||+ Large surfaces with grass to picnic or do your fitness||+ Easy access for a large buggy||- No swimming pool||- Furnitures, cutleries, curtains could be renewed. It is clean but rooms have a 20yrs old style and look old fashioned and rather cheap.||- Lines are missing to hang wet clothes/rash jackets/swimwear...||- AC is not included in the price and is optional (10 US$ a day) even though there is a a fan that works quite well.||- You don’t see the kite beach from the hotel. Round Rock is so large that it hides it so you cannot check your kite/bag/pump left on the beach if you go back to hotel for lunch ...||- No access into the sea from the hotel, this is just nasty edgy rocks with a small 1m50 high cliff so you cannot get into the water from there. |

The original guest house which was booked did not meet our expectations so my husband and I found ourselves placing a call to Round Rock Apartment seeking a room. We checked in after midnight and the the room was clean and though the amenities are not modern, we had everything needed and everything worked.||||We ate breakfast and lunch during our stay and we were never disappointed; the service was great, food tasty and staff amazingly beautiful. ||||Listening to the waves while in the restaurant and our room was therapeutic. ||||Overall we left very happy and would have no reservations about going back again.

Run away from this place. The rooms are dirty, miserable, and not maintained. Seriously ghetto accommodation. The towels are older than old, the toilets barely flush and the front desk girl has pretty bad manners as a host. The restaurant here is an ecoli outbreak waiting to happen. Ya maybe they can grill fish but we warned, when I was there, the toilet was overflowing into the kitchen. Stay away and avoid the false advertising. This place is nothing like the photo.

Absolutely awful. This place was unwelcoming, overpriced and out dated. The only good thing about it was the beautiful ocean, and the fact the we have a good sense of humour! ||Restaurant very rarely open ||Maid service abysmal 2 beds out of 3 changed, fresh towels were impossible to get. No hanging space for clothes. Had to leave key with maid who lost it and we were left in the rain for 45 minutes until it was found||Reception staff rude and very disorganised ||Shower cold and very weak every day ||3 day wait for lightbulb change in kitchen area||Television service did not work||In the end we moved to a better place , no refund. No apologies ||Loved Barbados but will not be returning to the Round Rock!

My wife and I had dinner in the hotel's restaurant. (We stayed elsewhere.) The couple who run the place were gracious. The food was great local fare and couldn't have been tastier. The draft beer was the best I'd consumed this vacation. The porch dining space overlooks the sea, with waves crashing on the rocks. Definitely a five-star experience.
