A wonderful holiday spent at Cockle Cottage. Perfect hosts, Alan and Sharon provide a fabulous setting in which to explore the Roseland Peninsula . The cottage is 5 star in all its luxury. It’s light and airy and a perfect home from home. The garden and perfect tranquility is the icing on the cake!

Ok, 2 years ago new owners acquired RHB. As holiday accommodation, there used to be 3 cottages available, but the new owners wished 2 of them not to be used as holiday lets. This review is for Cockle Cottage as this is the only one now available. I am very pleased to say we had a perfect holiday and the cottage met all of our expectations and more! Sharon and Alan are great hosts and nothing is too small for the. We loved the large extremely comfortable bed and the log fire. We loved it’s for adults only as it sleeps 2 and we loved the tranquility and the perfect position to holiday on the Roseland Peninsula and to be honest we just plained loved it and therefore have booked to go back later this year

We had a wonderful week in the Dairy over the New Year. The accommodation was modern, cosy, warm, and in a great location. It was quiet and we were able to have a relaxing week as planned. The cottage was well equipped and I particularly loved the bath and underfloor heating in the bathroom. The bath salts were an extra treat. We visited many local attractions including St Micheal's Mount, Pendennis Castle and Trelissick Gardens, all within easy reach. Plenty of amazing coastal walks including St Mawes and Anthony Head. We headed to St Mawes on NYE and enjoyed the fireworks over Pendennis Castle at midnight across the water. We can't wait to come back!

We stayed in the Dairy cottage over Christmas and it was, quite simply, perfect. When we arrived our wonderful hosts had left fresh scones & jam, some wine, fudge, plenty of satsumas and Christmas crackers for us! There was a tree in the sitting room and various, subtle, Christmas decorations dotted about.||The cottage has been decorated and made to a very high standard. Possibly has one of the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in. ||It was warm, cosy and so very very peaceful.||You can take a 5 min walk down to the River Fal and revel in the tranquility. If you want to go further afield it's about a 15 min drive to St Mawes and a 30 min drive to Truro.||A truly fantastic find and cannot praise this place enough!

We loved Cockle Cottage on our precious visit and confess we were a little sad to have missed he chance to rebook there for our late Feb holiday ... never fear ... the Dairy is lovely! If fact we felt a little disloyal to find ourselves thinking we may just like it slightly more!|A warm welcome from Barbara, Mark and the lovely Lucia, who is so excited to meet new people and share a game of ball, was the start to a great week in the Roseland. Windy and wild, at times, but amazing walks and sunshine too! |The Dairy has everything you need , well equipped kitchen, cosy lounge, super bathroom, with great shower cubicle and bath. Above all though, for us, huge comfy bed, where we slept soundly, after our lovely long coastal walks, Thee are some great walks on the doorstep too ! The courtyard is sheltered and we managed to sit outside a coup,e of times. |We look forward to returning soon.|

Oh WOW, this place is amazing. Its a little off the beaten track but don't let this put you off. ||||We arrived and were met by two really lovely hosts who made us feel really welcome. A lovely cream tea and the most fantastic room and lovely comfy bed. The bathroom was fantastic with a great shower. Even had our own sitting room where breakfast was served. The breakfast itself was perfect, fresh fruit each day, toast and a cooked breakfast with a daily special. Nothing was too much trouble and my request for a bacon sandwich was simply met with a smile and "no problem". There were loads of maps and booklets of things to do locally and plenty of advice of places to eat each evening.||||This was the VERY BEST B&B we have ever stopped in don't think twice book it today.||||Although we didn't stop in the self catering accommodation we did get chance to view it. Clean tidy, very well cared.||||The owner had lovely labrador dog who is very keen to play ball! We were told minute one or day one fi we didn't like dogs they would ensure she was kept out of the way ... but you'll not be able to resist her.||||I cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough

A peaceful and quiet location of three cottages. The cottages are all furnished to a high standard and very well equipped. We did not get round to buying any local guides before we came but that didn't matter as there is a good selection of local guides and OS maps in the cottage along with a range of fiction novels, CDs, DVDs and board games for when the weather is not so good. When we arrived after a long journey, Barbara and Mark had provided tea and scones with jam and cream to welcome us. I have loaded up a photo of the bathroom where you can have a quick shower or a soak in the bath after a long walk.

Having enjoyed numerous holidays across the UK in various cottages this has to be one of the best. |The accommodation is of a high standard and situated in a quiet location where you can really relax and ignore the world. We gauge our stays by "could we live here?" and the answer for us is a big YES.|There aren't many places where you get escorted to your cottage door by two enthusiastic and playful Labradors 😁|We hope to get an opportunity to return one day.
