Roundstone House Hotel 3 star Hotel

We didn't stay here but had to come back to have the wonderful crab salad! On our way to explore the area in a Camper Car. It's a great spot to have a delicious lunch and if weather is good and you can sit outside its perfect - as we had our dog.

We had the most wonderful stay at the Roundstone House Hotel in Galway! Everything was absolutely lovely from start to finish. The hotel was spotless and beautifully maintained, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home.||The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, very nice and really warm. Also thank you for the birthday surprise—it really made day extra special.||The food was also fantastic—delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. Every meal was a treat, and the cozy setting made dining even more enjoyable.||Honestly, everything was perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a charming and relaxing getaway in Galway.

Four of us had dinner at roundstone house hotel last night. What an amazing experience. The food, the ambience, the service and the view were all exceptional. We all had fish starters and every bite was pure heaven. Equally our main courses were delicious, beautifully presented and made with the freshest local produce. The whole group agreed that this was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. I would highly recommend a visit to Roundstone House Hotel and Restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

The best part of our stay at Vaughan's Roundstone House Hotel was that everyone at the hotel (in particular the Vaughan's themselves who worked the front desk, the bar, the restaurant...) were extremely friendly and helpful. It was as if they were hosting us at their home. Everyone went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The hotel even publishes its own walking guide for the area (which we used). Our Seaview Deluxe Room overlooked the town and the bay, which is just what we wanted. The pub was cozy and the restaurant (where we had dinner and breakfast) was outstanding. We don't usually eat dinner in hotel restaurants but we are glad we did. Of all the hotels we stayed in during our two-week Ireland trip this one was the best, not because it was the fanciest, but because it made us feel like we were in a home away from home.

Have been visiting here annually for dinner for over twenty years. Really disappointed at the experience for dinner today. We were a group of 5 adults and one child. The staff said it was a problem to have an extra seat brought to our table to accommodate everyone . They only did so when it was pointed out a neighbouring table was doing so. We later noticed they were unaccommodating to another larger group beside us. When the food arrived, My husband’s order was missed and a different dish arrived. The waiter suggested I had made the mistake regarding what he had ordered. The waitress who took our order didn’t acknowledge it when she came to check the table moments later. While the fish of the day was delicious, the curry was very bland. It was expensive for what arrived. A bowl of rice and a bowl of chicken & curry sauce. No additional vegetables or salad. The owner also acting most unwelcoming. He didn’t acknowledge paying customers as we were leaving which wouldn’t be very typical of a good level of hospitality. He also rudely spoke to other customers regarding the “problem” they were creating by needing an additional seat at a table they had been placed at by the staff. The place didn’t feel welcoming to young children at all. No crayons , colouring and menu wasn’t very appealing to young children. A lot to work on between staff’s attitude and hospitality given the hub Roundstone is for tourism.

Came here for lunch with our family. Started out fine and staff were friendly for drinks but took a strange turn when we enquired about lunch. Extremely unfriendly and one of the young lads was basically snapping back at our party over basic requests. It was pretty clear we weren’t welcome by the small man syndrome manager/owner. Food was extremely average for the price - a few manky wings with no sauce for 12 odd quid. Of course tried to overcharge us when paying. A ‘mistake’ I’m sure is very common. Don’t go here if you’re just going for lunch etc.

Outstanding vintage hotel right in the downtown with outstanding customer service and great home made food. Dad serves drinks, Mom serves breakfast and makes you feel at home, and grandma lights the fireplace at night. We all loved it.

Was invited to dinner on Easter Sunday in the main Restrant. Our party was 4 peoples. All adults. I had the crab salad for starter, rack of lamb tie mains. Absolutely gorgeous. Restaurant in every way was first class. Met some friends which was a nice catchup. And after in the bar which was a great end to a perfect evening. Thanks fir a wonderful night.

Tucked away in a pristine and picturesque coastal town this gem brings back memories of the old inn. The restaurant offered fresh and authentic food including the local smoked salmon and fish from the local market. If you're looking to spend some vacation at an unspoiled family owned inn I would highly recommend Roundstone.
