It was great! First time at a drive in, so much fun! Will definitely go again! Such a great experience for anyone better than a regular movie theater!

It was amazing and most legit fun.. Only thing is they overcharge yu for a slice of pizza that ain't even that big. Lol I've had Costco slice pizza bigger than that 😅 but hey it was amazing and I highly suggest you get to experience it with great people :) #great vibes

We went last night and had to leave because a family member ended up in the hospital and couldn't finish the movie but we paid extra for the refund if we couldn't stay. It didn't tell us that we had to go to the stand to tell them. Am I wrong for wanting our refund when we paid for it?

Nice I just think the listening system should be different some car don't turn on without lights and trying to keep it on to here the radio drained my battery

Terrible experience. Ticket booth instructed us to ask for twine for suv hatch. When we asked the golf cart guy he said no and we would have to move. Then he said we could stay but have to close the hatch. There were several large suvs and trucks parked in the front row blocking our view. We did not see anyone ask them to move. Parking instructions need to be better and someone should guide vehicles in the lot so people know where to go.

We love the drive-in! You seriously can’t beat the prices, especially for a carload. We also love that we get two movies for the price of less than what one movie would cost in the theater. It’s so convenient for families with small children, too, considering they can move around freely inside the vehicle and outside without disturbing the other patrons. I love how little things have changed since I was a child (no need to change anything when it’s perfect as it is). A true family favorite that comes with a hint of nostalgia!

Don't show up an hour before the movie starts like the ticket says make sure you're only 30 minutes early if that because they won't let you in. And when asked about it they are rude.

I love going here for movies. The food is pretty good and I always get something from the concession stand when I go, but the real selling point of the drive-in is the versatility and comfort of being in your own car. You can get takeout from some restaurant you like and eat that while watching the movie. You don't want to have your eardrums blown out by the theater, at the drive-in you can listen to the movie as softly or as loudly as you want.

Yelp
I haven't been too a drive in theater in years. I was happy too discover there is one in Springfield. They review the rules and everyone pretty much followed. We were in the back due too having a truck. But it was a great view. And I love the people watching.. My husband liked the nachos. I brought my own popcorn. Very clean facility. And friendly people. Great movie selection as well.

Yelp
Springfield, Illinois --- There are only about 338 drive-in movie theaters left in the USA (from about the 4300 peak), so I attend & SUPPORT all of them. The "Route 66 Twin Drive-In Theater also has Route 66 in its favor. It's unique "no speaker poles" parking allows the 1st cars arriving to set the pace. Tall vehicles in the back (where "Flo" & I park), gets to see the crowd, as well as the movie. The "experience" is why I attend drive-in's. Watching people with their creative pick-up truck seating, people walking around with their buddies, kids in their PJ's & families being families. The $7.50 ticket price is fair & the concession prices are fair too (not LOW, but fair). SUPPORT Drive-In's! Attend & buy their concessions to keep them in business for yourself & for the future! #RunAwayBill #DUSA2018 #DriveInMovieTheaterRAB #Route66 #Route66RunAwayBill #HistoricRoute66 #USroute66 #MotherRoad #Ruta66 #WillRogersHighway #MainStreetOfAmerica #RAB66_2018 05.19.18 "Run-A-Way Bill" was here!

Yelp
Fun experience! It's a great Date night, we brought our own snacks. It's $8 to get in which isn't bad compared to a regular movie theater. We parked and sat in the back of our car with blankets and pillows. They have a radio station in order to hear the movie. We will absolutely go back

Yelp
1. Good location 2. Easy to get in and out of the theater. 3. Concessions and decent restrooms. 4. They handle parking well. All the above is great, but if you have a newer car with exterior LED accent lighting you will need a radio to hear the movie or the golf kart man will getcha.

Yelp
Cash only at the front gate. First, it is easy to get around spending money at this place but don't do it, there are SO FEW of these experiences left to share with your family, support them. Go theater hop at the 150 screen MegaPlex in your home town, keep these guys open. We packed a cooler with a late dinner and some adult beverage. Picked up sodas, popcorn and a few other snacks at the concession stand but WTF!? I almost rioted, no raisinettes. That is just wrong, I mean really friggin' wrong. Listening on the radio is nice, everybody was great sports despite the serious heat. (90s in the evening that week) We all enjoyed spending time and moving around/interacting instead of sitting still and silent in a regular theater.

Yelp
We need to talk about the theater's announcer. The old bald white guy who cuts the sound to announce exit protocol and concessions closing. HE KEEPS ON RUINING THE END OF THE MOVIES. I've complained about this several times and it literally just keeps getting WORSE. It's bad enough when he talks over a mid-credits scene but last night he cut the sound and talked over the END OF THE MOVIE ITSELF before the credits even started. EVERYONE WAS MAD ABOUT IT. We all honked our horns and yelled at him to shut up but NOPE. Every paying customer still doesn't know how the movie ended and left angry. His defense was that he just HAS to start the useless announcement when the lights turn on. Even if it's BEFORE the movie even ends. He also recommended the indoors competition as an alternative during a global pandemic, btw. Not a great employee. Oh, and forget automation...his entire job could literally be replaced by A SIGN. I think everyone would be happier that way, tbh. This is CONSISTENTLY a problem. If I asked for a refund every time he ruined a movie it would be HUNDREDS of dollars for just this Summer alone. INFURIATING. That said, every other employee is fantastic! Love the place. LOVE YOU GUYS and THANK YOU. But that guy needs to go.

Yelp
Nice place .... lots of pretty strict rules but I liked that. It means you'll have an enjoyable time without people being obnoxious. Popcorn was awful. Bring your own.

Yelp
Where I used to live we had to drive 2 hours to go to a drive-in theater so its really great to have one so close. It's exactly what you expect! I haven't tried the food but I love that there are 2 movies for less than the price of one in a regular theater.

Yelp
We stopped our trip down route 66 early to see a movie here on a Tuesday. They advertised online that the theatre was open, showtime at 8:30. Marquee was on, we tried to get in, no one was there. Only open on Friday and Saturday turns out. Would have been nice to know before we had stopped early and got a motel...

Yelp
This is the first time I have been to a drive in theater, and needless to say it was a great experience. They play all of the new movies that are out this specific weekend I was able to see Blended and Godzilla. Oh FYI in the summer they have double feature weekends!!!! Oh ya and another plus double feature weekends for 7 dollars unbelievable deal! If ever in Springfield you need to experience a piece of Americana. Umm yeah the old commercials for the intermission and the starting movie were cool to. FYI this is right next to Knight's Action Park.

Yelp
Love this place and agree with the other post about supporting such a fun event. The only reason not a 5 star is because it was a windless night and we had to breath cig smog from the cars around us. That said go to the Drive in !!!!!!

Yelp
Brought our kids here to see how to train your dragon 2 and xmen. Such a great deal for two movies. Kids has so much fun! Recommend for dates or families or anyone who likes movies. Great location, not too close or far away from town. They offer food and drinks as well.
