Going by recent reviews, I was hoping for decent food and service. I was wrong. Had the soup and sandwich offer. Soup was carrot and coriander, which was so heavily spiced I couldn't taste anything else. And the sandwich... well it was a pesto chicken sandwich, but there were 4 very small pieces of chicken in a side. It was mainly chopped up ice berg lettuce. Not very nice at all. The worst bit was the half pot of hot (not boiling) water with the teabag on the side. Staff were pleasant, but no one seemed in charge nor trained.

Had a fabulous breakfast in this cafe within a very cool shop, the staff were super friendly and the service was quick, great little find, will definitely be back 👍

We always make a traditional stop here for breakfast when we visit Aviemore (~3-4 times a year). It can be hit and miss (in terms of service) in the busier times, but the food has been consistent. Its menu is fairly small but what they do offer food-wise is done well. If you want a breakfast roll and a coffee, this place is well worth a visit 👍🏻 On our more recent visit we discovered that the “Wheelie Good Pancakes” are off the menu – replaced by waffles… 😮 These were enjoyed all the same, but there did seem to be less in terms of portion size…

Lovely lunch here, best food we had in Aviemore!! Delicious lentil vegetarian burger and soups/ wraps. Great priced and good kids food options too. Highly recommend route 7! Will be back soon, thanks :)

What a great place, brilliant Vegan breakfast, really nice staff and reasonable prices. I really want to give this place five stars, but my word, the facilities need some work, like a diamond ring on the unwashed hand of a mechanic. We have a toilet seat that needs replacing, toilet none brush with remains of, missing flush button, rusty and unclean soap dispenser, questionable electrics, a door stop that wants a good clean, and would it hurt to remove the stuff that fixed something to the back of the door. I'll certainly be returning as this is a great place, but I only hope some improvement has been made by then.

Really nice place. Was busy when we first went as there was a park run round the corner, little wait on food, but was to be expected. Went a second time and food was super quick and both times it was delicious. Great vegan options. VEGAN WAFFLES!!! Sorry, there's just never vegan waffles anywhere. They were so good. Oat Mocha wax delicious too. Scrambled tofu could do with more seasoning I think. But I season mine loads at home. Staff were super nice and friendly too.

Best cooked breakfast we've had in a long time! Came out really fast and piping hot despite the cafe being really busy. Staff were lovely too and clearly work very hard. Our new favourite cafe in Aviemore

If you are looking for great food... the Route 7 Cafe has you covered, it has always been a firm favourite for us when in Aviemore. It's located within the Highland Home Centre in an industrial estate just as you come into the town, it really is a HIDDEN gem! You will be greeted upon arrival by two of their very small guard dogs who are super cute and follow you around as you navigate around several homely items up until you ascend to where all your food dreams come true. We normally stop here for breakfast but the portion sizes are unreal, the coffee really hits the spot and the staff are second to none. They have every food combo you could even think of catering for all food habits and at affordable prices, it would be rude not to adjust the satnav and try the Route 7 Cafe!

Yelp
A cozy breakfast and lunch spot in Aviemore. A little bit of a strange location nestled on top of a houseware store, but a comfy wood cabin vibe makes this spot a nice one to relax and have a big meal before a long day. Ordered the Scottish fry up with a coffee and got all the calories needed for the day. The tomato was a great add to cut through the richness of the haggis and egg. Nice and soft hash brown. A little bit of green garnish was a nice touch. Quick service and clean dining area. Great for a pre-hike/camp breakfast or a meal break from skiing.

Yelp
Great breakfast in an odd spot. Enter through a home building store and go upstairs. Great prices and quick service.
