More convenient if using a car, parking is free however parking lots may be full at night so better to reach earlier at the hotel. There's also free onsen facilities and a comics room, and there's two buildings so might be confusing when navigating around the hotel. Overall experience is a good stay.

I attached the map that guide to the new wing. Love the Onsen. The food restaurant is nice and price is very reasonable.

"Disappointing Stay at a Crowded Onsen Hotel" I recently stayed at this onsen hotel, and unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations. While the onsen facilities themselves were decent, the overall experience was marred by several issues. The hotel was quite overcrowded, which made the atmosphere feel more chaotic than relaxing. Common areas were packed, and the serenity I was hoping for was hard to find. To make matters worse, we encountered a cockroach in our room, which was a major concern. Additionally, the room had a persistent damp smell, giving it an uncomfortable, musty feel. These issues made it hard to truly unwind, especially after a long day of travel. While the staff were friendly and tried to be accommodating, the outdated facilities and cleanliness issues were hard to overlook. This hotel could benefit from a much-needed renovation, as well as more attention to cleanliness. I would only recommend it for those on a budget or looking for a quick, no-frills stay, but it's definitely not the peaceful, relaxing onsen experience I had hoped for.

With the price I paid, this hotel exceeded my expectation. The room is spacious for solo travellers. Quiet onsen hotel and I could truely rested. The dinner included in the price was excellent and I had such a good Wagyu beef with other seafood. The only drawback is that the first free shuttle bus from hotel to the train station starts at around 10:30am which is kind of late. I ended up calling a taxi to go to the station instead.

Great hotel for its price. Food were surprisingly good with reasonable price tag. Room is a bIt small as standard with other business hotel. Onsen was good too, though the operating hours were short. Staff were nice and friendly. Located up the hill away from anything. You either prepare all supplies before checking in or just use their vending machines for drinks.

We have stayed in other brand new Route Inns in Japan before and those were great. This one is quite unlike those new hotels. It is old, dirty, and needs renovations. To make matters worse, getting to your room from the front desk is like going through a maze (you have to take 2 different elevators, walk through several hallways, exit out of the building and enter another building). On top of this we paid USD 200+ for this hotel. So it was by far the most expensive Route Inn we have ever stayed in but also the worst. I’ll never stay here again.

This is a wonderful hotel to stay at, especially if you dive in and stay in the Japanese rooms. I have read reviews about American's not liking the hard mattresses (not just this hotel). Why would you come all the way to Japan and then stay in a western room? We went for a larger traditional room and it was a fun adventure - sort of like a slumber party (traveled with family). The traditional rooms have mats that are put away during the day. I used two mats - they are thin & that was the solution for my bad back. If they don't have an extra, just ask. The rooms smell wonderful with the reed mattresses. The restaurant serves great food, as long as you figure out what you like in Japanese cuisine. Udon noodles & sushi are always good choices. The view from the restaurant is scenic - the restaurant is set on the side of the mountain looking over the city. The public bath rooms are popular with the local populace, so I used it during working times so it was not crowded. There is a free shuttle from the train station so it is easy to get around without taxi or vehicle. The hotel does not always have an English speaker on staff so have your reservation printed out. Would be good to have a few stock phrases written down or a phrase book with you. They are very customer service oriented and will make every effort to take care of you.

Good: Bed, room size, pillows, pajamas, hot bath Bad: - you have to take off shoes at entrance, walk through the hotel, to the next building to get to your room n bedroom slippers - one of the worst breakfast service I have experienced. Turned up for breakfast at 8.30am and they are already out of some things which was not replenished. Looks like the hotel is trying to cut costs - public bath anemities quite poor quality
