My opinion is only about the vegetarian menu. I had high expectations because the reviews are very good, but unfortunately it was not what I expected. • The starter was delicious! The combination of flavors was really amazing. • The intermediate course was nice and tasty. • The main course was not very good. It was a bit acidic, and the celery was not cooked properly—far too hard. It was not even easy to cut with a knife. • The dessert was nice but a bit bitter. In general, I am not a big fan of desserts, but the ice cream was very tasty. The service was outstanding, and the location and atmosphere/vibe of the place are super nice. They also have a very nice selection of wines. There may be some opportunities to improve the vegetarian menu, but overall it’s a nice place and definitely worth trying.

What a meal! Fantastic food quality, service, and vibe during the holiday season. Chefs/servers answered all my questions. I tasted flavors I didn’t know existed. The langoustine and deer were my highlights, but the waffle appetizer and foie gras held their own too. I’ll definitely be back

Outstanding food and amazing service. We were seated at the counter (by choice) and ended up spending a very pleasant night with my partner. The waiters and bartenders were very efficient and took the time to have a laugh with us in-between making two cocktails. We were mesmerized with the delicious and super strong flavors of each dish we have tried. Wine selection is also great! Probably one of the best restaurants I have been to in Amsterdam.

Roux delivers the kind of food that stops you mid-conversation. Every dish is stunning — delicate, precise, and absolutely Michelin-standard in both flavour and presentation. The menu may be small, but it shows serious discipline: no fillers, no weak links, just concentrated excellence.

Great staff, very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the whole meal. And the food was lovely, especially the foie gras and shrimp salad. Overall you can see the time and love that the team has put into this place.

Consistently an amazing experience, I’ve been several times now and the food and service is always excellent. All the dishes we tried are incredible, creative recipes with an explosion of flavours, they change the menu often so had the possibility to try different dishes every time. Great wine list too and the service is always attentive and welcoming. One of my favourite places in Amsterdam!

A fantastic French restaurant on Westerstraat. Even though we live very close, we only just managed to visit for the first time. We sat at the counter, and I would choose to sit there again anytime – watching the chefs is a pleasure in itself. The service was very professional and friendly, but not at all stiff. The food was, of course, outstanding. Overall, it's not cheap, but it is well worth the price. I will be coming back.

After getting quite a few recommendations to visit this restaurant we finally managed to create time for a visit and made our reservation. From a food perspective we were not disappointed at all, enough variety of dishes which also included vegetarian options. The quality was excellent and the portions (for us at least) just right, great combination of flavors in every dish. The kitchen clearly consists of a very talented team, and we will be back if the menu will change to experience it once again. Excellent selection of wines as well to complement the dishes. Perhaps a small point of improvement would be the service, that could have been a bit better. We were served by multiple people, however with different experiences (some were quite a bit better and more engaging then others). Sometimes it took a while to get noticed. For a restaurant like this consistency would be expected and this would have made the experience better. But the food was the real star of the show here, simply excellent. We will be back, very much recommended if you are visiting Amsterdam!
