The stuff is nice and friendly. The hostel has a very beautiful view and living room, rooms have a key. But the food is simple and modest. The rooms are only one gender room, which is totally fine, but what I don't understand is why the toilets/showers are mixed gender then? There is no single bench in a shower room where you could sit to get dressed or deposit your stuff. There is also no hook to leave the towel while showering and no soap in the shower either.

Very mid tier hostel: person at the reception was very chatty and friendly but not the quickest because of this. The arrangements with regards to dinner were unclear, which meant we almost missed it. The rooms are small for the amount of people but fine otherwise. The beds have decent matrasses although a bit small. The showers are fine, as are the toilets. Sleeping in a top bunk next to the hallway will make for an interesting night where your bed shakes with every person going for a midnight wee.

Lovely lounge and huge self catering kitchen. Great stop on highland way, clean and comfortable. Beautiful building and view. Breakfast was fine. Packed lunch was 9£ consisting of ham and cheese on white bread, apple, chips, and candy.

Stayed one night whilst hiking the WHW. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Beds comfy. They offer dinner and lunch options. I opted for both. The dinner was tasty and good value. Lunch was simple but perfect for continuing on the WHW. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing location, beautiful building but a frustrating experience. It wasnt that cheap for a hostel, and it wasnt good enough for the price. The breakfast and dinner menu / service is a relic from another age; guests deserve much better. The staff were all lovely though.

Great hostel to stop at, we did one night. Clean hostel and good self catering kitchen. Food is provided for a charge which we did. Simple but made life easier in not having to find a place selling food etc. If we come back in the area would happily stay longer. Plenty of walks in the area. Car park holds up to 12 vehicles. Lovely lounge overlooking the loch.

I stayed when hiking the West Highland Way. The hostel is a brilliant place to arrive at after a long day. They do dinner and breakfast, plus you can buy snacks and beers until 10pm. Stunning view from the lounge. It has laundry and a drying room. Both very useful for hikers. Staff were super welcoming. Booking in was a faff though. The website just gave an error message when trying to book. The direct phone line doesn’t work, so I had to keep calling the Hosteling Scotland booking line for ages.
