We had a great experience here. The food was delicious and truly authentic, and you can tell a lot of care goes into every dish. The staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. The atmosphere was comfortable and everything, from the service to the food was excellent. I will definitely be coming back. If you ever expand, please consider opening your next location in San Antonio. I think people here would really appreciate a restaurant like this.

Roya is one of the most anticipated restaurant openings in Austin — and for very good reason. Austin truly needed a Persian restaurant of this caliber, one that proudly introduces the richness of Persian culture and cuisine to the entire city. From the moment you walk in, it’s clear that Roya is aiming to set a new standard for luxury dining in Austin. The design, ambiance, and attention to detail are absolutely stunning and genuinely upscale. It feels refined, elegant, and thoughtfully curated. We had the pleasure of enjoying several dishes, and everything was outstanding. Chef Amir is exceptionally professional, and it truly shows in the quality and execution of the food. The ingredients are top-tier — including Australian Wagyu beef that was incredibly tender and flavorful. The koobideh kebab was perfectly seasoned and delicious, and the organic chicken kabob was juicy and beautifully prepared. The variety of mezze options was excellent, each one fresh and full of authentic flavor. And to finish, the Bastani and Halva were the perfect ending — traditional, nostalgic, and beautifully presented. Roya isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a cultural experience. Austin has been waiting for a true high-end Persian dining destination, and Roya delivers. Very excited to see it continue raising the bar for fine dining in the city. As a Persian in Austin with limited Persian food options, I was very excited about this new restaurant and our first experience was spot on. This is a Persian restaurant with a modern vibe and traditional decor. We enjoyed the ambiance and atmosphere. Service was friendly with modern elevated Persian food that I enjoyed. I’m particularly impressed with the Chef owner’s diverse foods in his restaurants. His dedication to meticulous detail in every aspect from decor and food to service is admirable. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and healthy because I left the place light and satisfied without the usual heavy bloated feeling one gets after eating at many other establishments. Definitely worth visiting and repeating.

Roya was absolutely amazing! At first glance at the menu, it may seem a bit pricey; however, it is totally worth it. The food quality was incredible, the service was great, and the atmosphere was excellent. As a Persian, I would have loved to see my food served with a side of rice. I just feel like if a non-Persian guest comes in to order, they may not realize that rice needs to be ordered separately. However, they do offer rice as an additional side, and it’s really not a big deal. The ghormeh sabzi was one of the best I have ever tried! The gheimeh was so good, and the kabob was great as well. I would definitely come back again, and I highly recommend Roya to anyone reading this!

As someone Persian living in Austin, where authentic Persian cuisine is very limited, I was genuinely excited to try this new spot—and our first visit did not disappoint. The restaurant blends a contemporary atmosphere with traditional Persian design elements, creating a space that feels both modern and culturally rooted. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the service was attentive and welcoming. The menu offers elevated Persian dishes with thoughtful presentation and refined flavors. I especially appreciate the chef-owner’s creativity and the diversity reflected across his culinary concepts. His attention to detail—from the interior design to the plating and overall guest experience—is evident. The ingredients tasted fresh and wholesome, and I left feeling satisfied yet light, without the heaviness that often follows dining out. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and certainly a place worth trying again. That said, the pricing is on the higher side and, in my opinion, not particularly competitive compared to other restaurants at a similar caliber in Austin and surrounding large Texan cities that offer high end Persian cuisine.

I was invited to the opening night, and from the moment I walked in, I was stunned by how beautiful this restaurant is. Every small detail has been thoughtfully considered, and the space truly showcases Persian art and design. It is the most beautiful Iranian restaurant I have visited in the entire U.S. The food is also exceptional and unique. I loved the eggplant appetizer, the ghormeh sabzi entrée, and the halva appetizer. Everything was flavorful, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. I was also very impressed by the fresh bread baked inside the restaurant and the sharbat albaloo. I want to sincerely thank the owner for deciding to open this restaurant in Austin!

As a California girl who’s been living in Austin for the past 6+ years, I can honestly say I’ve been counting the days for this place to open. Austin finally has a modern, elegant, sophisticated, upscale, delicious, and innovative Persian restaurant. After months of following their socials, I already knew the design and aesthetic were going to be top-notch, but I was anxiously waiting for the menu release and hoping it would taste as good as it looked. It does, y’all. It really does. A home away from home is right. I loved their koobideh…I can still taste it, actually. The gormeh sabzi with bone marrow was perfection. Every appetizer and side was individually impressive. And the cocktails? So good. Already can’t wait to go back.❤️

Roya exceeded our expectations in every aspect. The design of the restaurant was thoughtful. The staff was genuinely excited to share the food and the experience with us. Alex was a fantastic waiter and Chef Amir was kind enough to chat with us as well. We did the Sofreh tasting menu. Everything was delicious: reminiscent of our grandma’s dishes growing up, but with high quality ingredients and through the lens of a French-trained chef. We can’t wait to come back.
