Roya is one of the most anticipated restaurant openings in Austin, and for good reason. I’ve heard so many great things already, especially knowing that the owner has an impressive track record with multiple successful restaurants. From the photos alone, it’s clear that Roya is aiming to set a new standard for luxury dining in Austin. The design, ambiance, and attention to detail look absolutely stunning and truly upscale. If the experience lives up to what’s being promised, this could easily become Austin’s first true high-end, luxury restaurant destination. Very excited to see Roya open its doors and raise the bar for fine dining in the city. Austin has been waiting for something like this

As a California girl who’s been living in Austin for the past 6+ years, I can honestly say I’ve been counting the days for this place to open. Austin finally has a modern, elegant, sophisticated, upscale, delicious, and innovative Persian restaurant. After months of following their socials, I already knew the design and aesthetic were going to be top-notch, but I was anxiously waiting for the menu release and hoping it would taste as good as it looked. It does, y’all. It really does. A home away from home is right. I loved their koobideh…I can still taste it, actually. The gormeh sabzi with bone marrow was perfection. Every appetizer and side was individually impressive. And the cocktails? So good. Already can’t wait to go back.❤️

I was invited to the opening night, and from the moment I walked in, I was stunned by how beautiful this restaurant is. Every small detail has been thoughtfully considered, and the space truly showcases Persian art and design. It is the most beautiful Iranian restaurant I have visited in the entire U.S. The food is also exceptional and unique. I loved the eggplant appetizer, the ghormeh sabzi entrée, and the halva appetizer. Everything was flavorful, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. I was also very impressed by the fresh bread baked inside the restaurant and the sharbat albaloo. I want to sincerely thank the owner for deciding to open this restaurant in Austin!

Best Persian food I have had outside of Iran. This was really an amazing sofreh experience. The food was really delicious, the staff was very kind and the ambiance was beautiful. It was clear that every detail was obsessed over before making a decision. I can't recommend this place more. Alex was extremely kind to us, and Chef Amir was extremely passionate about representing Persian food in the best way possible. The drinks were also insanely good

BEST restaurant I’ve had the pleasure of dining at. Our server was David- he was very knowledgeable of the menu as well as the staff. I recommend the lamb shank, but everything was fantastic. Must try!

Roya is truly something special. From the moment you walk in, you feel the warmth, hospitality, and beauty of Persian culture. The food is absolutely incredible — layered with flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with intention and care. Every dish tastes authentic and thoughtfully crafted. The atmosphere is elegant yet welcoming, and the service makes you feel like family. Roya is more than a restaurant — it’s an experience. Austin is lucky to have this gem.

Everything was amazing at Roya! We had been looking forward to the opening, and our first visit was truly special. My husband and I celebrated Valentine’s Day there, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The space is gorgeous, decorated with such delicate taste. The ambiance is warm and elegant, and the food and drinks were absolutely delicious. It was our first time eating at a Persian restaurant and we were so impressed. The service was outstanding from start to finish. We’ll definitely be back again and again!
