Loved this place! Similar to the Alhambra in Granada but smaller. Also it has the most beautiful gardens. Easy to visit if you're staying in the city center. Totally worth visiting! I bought tickets a week before the visit, not sure if they sell out but it's best to buy in advance to be safe.

Very beautiful gardens and the palace is magical, so highly decorated and just amazing. Incredible history and worth the visit. We booked this well in advance and didn’t have to queue, which you want to avoid in this heat. Ensure you go on the viewing gallery in the gardens to appreciate the grounds even more. We are informed the gardens open in the evening soon, illuminated etc, might be worth it.

The Real Alcázar of Seville is an exceptional place — we absolutely loved it! The site is very large, and we visited in April when everything was green and in full bloom. It was truly beautiful. We highly recommend wearing comfortable shoes, as there’s a lot of walking involved. Don’t forget to bring water and take your time — there are plenty of perfect spots for photos and relaxing strolls. It’s essential to buy tickets well in advance. We purchased ours two weeks before our visit and could only get the last available time slot. After booking, you have to wait for a confirmation email. Make sure to get your tickets long before your trip, as entrance is strictly based on the time stated on your ticket — no early entries were allowed for anyone. We didn’t had a guide and were able to enjoy the garden. To fully enjoy the visit, it’s a good idea to prepare children ahead of time and let them know there will be quite a bit of walking involved 😄👍

Incredible piece of history. If you have the time, definitely bring along a book and sit in the beautiful gardens once you are done touring the castle! Lots of beautiful flora and wonderful wildlife.

Interesting to see. It was a hot day so we didn’t explore the gardens, just the house. That still took almost 2 hours. There’s a lot to see and will take a while if you’re in to history. Make sure you see the bath house downstairs. I thought it was the most interesting spot.

Real Alcázar – Seville This is not just a palace… It’s a living piece of Al-Andalus, still breathing in the heart of Seville. From the moment you walk in, the place whispers history. The Arabic calligraphy, the intricate geometric patterns, the Moorish arches — they all say: “We were here, and we never truly left.” The most powerful part for me was the Hall of Al-Mu’tamid. His poetry, his love, and his tragedy are still present — you feel it in the walls, in the silence, in the light. It’s a place full of pride, memory, and the echo of a lost civilization that continues to live within us. The gardens are calm and enchanting — a peaceful escape, like a miniature paradise. Part of Game of Thrones was filmed here, but that’s just a modern detail next to the palace’s deep, real history. ✨ One downside: Despite its beauty, the organization inside the Alcázar is lacking. There’s very little guidance or signage, which makes it easy to get lost — and sadly, you might miss important areas without even realizing. A place this rich in history deserves better structure and flow. If you visit, give it time. Don’t rush. Don’t just visit the Alcázar — feel it, live it, and listen to what it has to say

Really beautiful place with a lot of history. The mix of different styles in the architecture is interesting, and the details in the tiles and ceilings are impressive. The gardens are peaceful and great for a walk — we even saw some peacocks there. It’s a big place, so give yourself enough time to explore. We bought our tickets online and it saved us a lot of waiting. Definitely worth visiting if you're in Seville.

Good place to visit and embrace Spain's history. Be sure to visit the courtyard and read the last Moorish King's final wishes. Note: The ticket section is in the interior courtyard, opposite from the entrance, and you will have to walk and wait a bit. Workers here are also very professional and courteous.
