What a wonderful and beautiful botanical garden!
Located in the suburbs of Cranbourne, this botanical garden features lots of beautiful and exotic flowers and bushes, walking tracks that go on and on and on, an Australian scene that looks like it is straight out of the outback, a lake, a lilypad bridge, a playground, many different gardens, a kiosk, a visitor centre, a Cafe, a gift shop, and millions of trees.
These gardens also feature a few animals here, too. Such as bandicoots, ducks and birds, and snakes. (Watch out for the snakes as they live here, too! And, we encountered one of them on our walk, look at the pictures below! It didn't attack us or anything, it just slithered by minded it's own business. And then we continued walking.)
Anyways, the red sand garden is amazing and it's hard to believe that this is in a suburb in Melbourne, but it is. And that's what makes this place absolutely beautiful and why it attracts thousands of people every year.
It is also a great place to do some walking because of the bush trails that just on and on and on. And some of the walking tracks in the botanic gardens are beautiful and also great for walking!
The lake is also great and features duck swimming in it!
The lilypad bridge is very well designed and created and looks great!
And there are many beautiful and exotic flowers and plants here that you could look at for hours and hours. And of course, you'd want to take pictures here too, so bring the camera if you have one. If not, a phone or tablet would do.
There is also a Cafe and a gift shop here, too! So you can get a bite to eat, and then buy something from the gift shop, how good!
So overall, the Cranbourne royal botanic Gardens are a must visit if you're in Cranbourne! So many different things to see and do, and just a nice place to do some walking. Highly recommended! We will definitely be back in the future! And watching out for snakes!
