Royal Boutique Savassi Hotel

The hotel is very well located, the people who work there are super friendly breakfast was good, but the rooms are super old and in particular the bed was very uncomfortable and the room was not very clean. It was disappointing.

The location of the hotel is great. Rooms are good, but the bathrooms could be used with refurbishment. Staff don't speak good English. Only one guy was helpful. I was overcharged for upgrade I didn't take, need, or requested. I emailed the manager and still heard nothing from them. Be careful when booking superior and luxury rooms. There is zero difference in it, and superior get you better room than luxury. Disappointed with breakfast, I stayed 5 or 6 nights and had zero difference or variety.

This hotel is suggested for the perfect location in the middle of Savassi, city center of BH|Breakfast is very good, services are perfect and the reception always available for any request. The room are big and the cleaning is always matching the expectations.

Spent two nights in this hotel on a business trip.||||Location - Great . In the main area of the city and a safe neighborhood.||||WiFi - Really good! All over the hotel and I was able to download some big files that were relatively big.||||Staff - Fantastic! The guy who checked me in goes by the unique name Alef. I wish you could copy this guy to any hotel I'm gonna stay in. He was kind, available, knowledgeable and super helpful throughout my entire stay. This is the type of service that makes you enjoy your stay no matter what.||||Gym - Very basic and kind old equipment. Operating the TV with the remote was complicated. No towels... Come on. How difficult is it to place 5 towels in the fitness gym?||||Rooms - Kinda old but specious and overall OK if you don't expect a modern hotel standard. Unless you're spoiled it's totally fine.||||Overall - It feels old, and it could use some maintenance here and there. It doesn't feel like the property is taking care of, but nothing is faulty. The location, wifi and above all the staff (hopefully everybody is on the same level as the guy I met) are great positives and I can recommend this place. Just don't expect the standard of a new Marriott as far as the facility itself.

We had a great time staying in this hotel. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, drinks and snacks were available in mini fridge. We also had access to a solid gym and wifi. The location was centrally located with a lot of restaurants close by. Alef helped us in english. He was very helpful, excellent and professional. I highly recommend and hope to be back soon.||-Alice

Great location, close to restaurants and attractions. Rooms were clean and spacious, really enjoyed the breakfast and the selections of Mineiro food with an affordable dinner buffet. I would totally come back and stay with the group Royal.

If I could, I would give it 0 stars. I booked my trip through Expedia/Orbitz and am a VIP Platinum member which meant I am entitled to receive a free room upgrade (if the hotel has any rooms available for upgrade) and a free bottle of wine. I asked the front desk for a room upgrade (before letting her know i’ll be using a free room upgrade from Expedia). She said: “yes, we have a couple of room upgrades available”. I said: “ok, great. I would like to use the Platinum free room upgrade I have with Expedia. She said, “oh, i dont know.. you would have to figure that out with Expedia. I said ok, i will speak to someone from Expedia. The representative from Expedia said to me: You can only receive the upgrade, if the hotel has any rooms available. I said: “I am at the hotel now and the lady at the front desk told me there are rooms available for upgrades just now. The representative said: “okay, i will speak to the front desk”. After almost 1 hour on the phone with Expedia, the representative said that the lady at the front desk (same lady that told me there are rooms available) said there are no rooms available. I was upset because there are only rooms available for people willing to pay full price for an upgrade, but they do not honor their end with people that have the perks from Expedia/orbitz. Overall, horrible experience and there was a huge dead waterbug cockroach in my shower. Also, they tried to charge me for a bag of peanuts during check-out that I did not eat. I was suppose to extend my stay for 10 additional days, but left after my 1 night stay to a better hotel and the other hotel allowed me to use my free room upgrade from Expedia/Orbitz. I also wanted to try their restaurant inside the hotel, but decided not to give anymore of my money to Royal Boutique Savassi and ate elsewhere due to my customer experience. Do yourself a favor, and search for better hotels in Savassi.. there are MANY. I don’t know if they were trying to charge me full price for the upgrade because Im American and they decided to lie to Expedia by telling them they didnt have any room upgrades at the same moment I was told there are. *Updated Response to Owner*: Your hotel had rooms available for upgrade. The lady at the front desk that checked us in, told us there are a couple of rooms available… and you had MANY upgraded rooms available online as well.. your hotel was CLEARLY not full or as busy from what I saw. When I told her I will be using my free room upgrade from Expedia/Orbitz, that is when the front desk said to the Orbitz/Expedia representative that there are 0 rooms available for upgrade. I only received a refund for the uneaten peanuts when I asked the front desk for an itemized breakdown charge. If I did not ask for the itemized version of the room charge, I would not have known your hotel would’ve charged me for peanuts I never ate or opened and would have left the hotel not knowing your hotel charged me for items I did not consume. The issue is NOT wether I received a full refund or did not receive a full refund. As a business, you should be aware of the charges you are charging to people’s bank accounts, instead of waiting to see if the customer will ask your employee why they are being charged a questionable amount of money. As a hotel, just do better next time. If you have upgraded rooms available, be honest instead of using deceitful tactics. This is my first time a “VIP” orbitz/expedia hotel does not accommodate Platinum orbitz/expedia members. Overall, will not be recommending this hotel due to your customer service and horrible accommodation upon arrival. And for anyone reading this review, just know there are better hotels in the area.. with a quick google search, you will be able to find them! If you are VIP Platinum on Expedia/Orbitz, you will also find hotels willing to let you use the perks that come with it!

Excelent service, the personal reacted quickly to any requirement we had as guests. Since we are foreign travelers we needed an outlet converter to be able to use our electo Ic equipment . They provided it immediately
