Royal Caribbean

We went on the Wonder of the Seas for 5 day. Stops at Coco Cay and Nassau. Coco Cay is fine, kind of like an amusement park. Nassau is OK. We went to the bar for the day. We had a balcony room. Room was clean and well serviced. Breakfast buffet was very good. Main dining room had pretty basic food. Service was great in the dining room. The Mexican quick service buffet was basic, but good. They only had pizza for late night food. Room service took hours at night so it wasn’t really an option. Starbucks is a plus (not included). Cafe in Central Park was good. The shows were incredible. Very entertaining. Negative- Drink service was so slow. Seemed deliberately slow. We had the premium package. We tried to order a beer and a shot of tequila and they wouldn’t do it. The bartender said I had to come back in 15 minutes for the shot. Weird, we weren’t partying it up either. Not many waiters. Pretty much had to get drinks at the bar. Overall-Great ship. Especially for a large group. Be patient-it’s crowded.

Royal Caribbean is by far the best Cruise line. The entire staff is knowledgeable in every aspect. When you need assistance you can ask any staff member and they will assist. We enjoyed our cruise so much, no complaints about anything. I can't think of one thing they can improve on. The food was amazing, such a vast variety something for everyone, including the picky eaters. We enjoyed a vast array of entertainment, activities, again something for everyone. If you want an unforgettable vacation, choose Royal Caribbean.

The ship is beautiful. The Suite attendant on deck 17 (Marijana) she was amazing. The staff in the art gallery was great (Jason, Patrick, and Jasmine) The suite concierge Haley and Nadia were non existent. They were never in the lounge at their desk except for Friday. The other suite guests were also complaining about the lack of them being available. The cruise itself. The black island at Nassau is a waste of money, do not go. The food is the same at every hut (yet hut) and its a burger, chicken tenders, shrimp skewer, chicken sandwich, fries, Mac and cheese. No deserts, the drinks are watered down with no flavor. The pools are 3½' deep so unless your 3' tall you cant swim. Lastly theres nothing to do. I had an upset stomach (no big deal) but do not mention it if asked how you've been, if you do you will be compelled to go to medical, then quarantined for 24hrs from the time you go to medical. You have no say in it. I missed Costa Maya port because of this. Next my Suite was a loft, I fell down the stairs and injured my knee, I notified the concierge by email (its the only way to reach them) (also youd think they'd come check on you after something like this, nope not these two they did not care) I missed everything after I fell because of my knee hurting. I slept on the couch downstairs the last 3 nights because I couldn't make it up the stairs due to the knee pain. The carpet on the steps is bulging at the lip of each step, which cause my foot to slip off the step and caused the fall.

Royal is for everyone. Some cruise ships are for the party animals and some are for the older folks, and some are just for adults. Royal is for everyone. They have different ships, ports and excursions for your every want or need on vacation no matter what your age. And Royal is Loyal. Their loyalty program is easy to understand and provides great perks for their frequent cruisers. And the casino offers free (taxes and port fees) for their frequent gamblers. And free drinks in the casino. So if you’re loyal to Royal you will be able to cruise as much as you want. We are early retirees and have been cruising through retirement. It’s a wonderful life!

First cruise and Royal Caribbean Oasis on the Sea did a great job at making everything a fun and enjoyable experience. We did a 6 day cruise in the Caribbean with two stops Nassau and Cabo Rojo. We were scheduled for Jamaica but the hurricane caused a course change. The pools, slides, and hot tubs were fun. We signed up for the "Thermal package, " which includes two steam rooms, sauna, 4 heated lounges, two tropical rain showers, and locker rooms with showers and towels. We also upgraded to the Key package. Everyone we met was great the guests to staff. The thermal package was well worth it, we couldn't get it prior to the cruise, so we went to the Spa once we got on the ship.

My husband and I really enjoyed our Royal Caribbean cruise. The food was great, and the crew was so nice and helpful. The shows were amazing and there were plenty of activities to keep us busy. WE will definitely be going on another one.

Had a wonderful Thanksgiving cruise! This was my first cruise ever and I know I'll be back for another one soon :) My mom and I went on Liberty of the Seas and stopped in Nassau and CoCoCay. Did an excursion each day (tour of Nassau and at your leisure snorkeling). During the day at sea we did a Sip and Tour brunch, where we got to tour the kitchens before an all you can enjoy mimosa brunch. We also upgraded to The Key and would recommend it as it includes a lot of perks - an embarkation lunch and a disembarkation breakfast, all of your bags are taken to and from your rooms, deals on the ship, and daily internet to name a few. We also did all of our dinners in the main dining room. Charlene and Denny were fabulous! So friendly and super thoughtful throughout the entire trip. The buffet was delicious, but slightly overwhelming because there were so many options. The pizza on the main concourse was delicious, and so was the Sprinkles ice cream! Overall, everything was very clean and all the staff was professional and friendly. Would absolutely recommend!

We went on the wonder of the seas for a weekend cruise to coco cay and Nassau and it was pretty decent. We had a great balcony room on this ship which was clean and very new. The Buffet though was busy and inconvenient. Every day there was a huge line to enter the buffet so on the last day we didn’t bother to go and just picked up food the day before to eat on our balcony. The Ships shows were also the best shows I have seen on many cruises. But they were crowded. On the second day we went to the aqua show and you had to reserve early. The show was packed though it was great. This system I also found inconvenient that you had to reserve weeks early to be able to do everything! We wanted to do laser tag but all the times were sold out! There were plenty of activities on the ship but you had to reserve for most of them. I found the wonder of the seas decent but packed and crowded and could improve.

Great service me and my family had great time doing it again in the summer thank you guys for the great memories

This review is of Johnny Rockets, on the allure of the sea This was a special restaurant that you had to pay for before you boarded the ship as many of the special restaurants are but we paid at the restaurant as a sailing customer which was not a problem, but the service was good. The food was horrible. I don't recommend Johnny Rockets on the allure of the sea. There are other places to eat that are much much better. The burger was small and greasy. The fries were cold and not good at all. I have to admit the chocolate milkshake was wonderful. Skip Johnny Rockets, and go somewhere else

I haven't even boarded the Allure of the Seas yet, and I'm already feeling frustrated. I've been trying to book spa treatments for my sister's birthday, but the app and website have been completely unhelpful. After spending nearly an hour on two seperate phone calls, I still don't have any appointments booked. Both agents I spoke with submitted trouble reports, but that hasn't led to any solutions. It feels like I've wasted a lot of time with no results. Every time I call back, I have to go through the same explanation that I would like the treatments at the same time, which no one seems to comprehend, and then the troubleshooting steps, which is exhausting. And, their answer each time was to just book it on the ship! And then can I really expect treatments for 4 people in the same time frame for the treatments we want to actually be available? If booking a simple spa treatment is this complicated, I can't help but wonder what to expect during the cruise itself. I hope Royal Caribbean can resolve these issues soon, as I'd really like to have a better experience moving forward.

Went on the weekend cruise out of pt canaveral. Although this ship was built in 2010, it's still beautiful. It's awesome that royal is moving some of the mega ships to 3/4 day cruises. Pros- Entertainment- ocean aria and mamma mia were really good. Commedians were awesome. Definitely reserve you shows the first day that the app let's you. Central park was beautiful. Cons- Food was hit or miss in buffet and MDR Overall pool deck layout was a little weird and there were no slides.

They're selling products that expired 3 years ago! It was a nightmare! They sell expired skin care products on deck 5 skin care products store and refuse to take any responsibility! I bought three skin care products, all expired! Two of them made in 2018 and expired in 2021, After applying on my face, I started having rashes, eczematous patches and irritation. I had to stop my vacation and went to clinic! I spent so much time to talk and email them, but royal Caribbean and Starboard customer service refused to take any responsibility! This is how they treat their clients! Such a big company, such disgusting behavior! Don't buy anything on the cruise! Besides the bad experience, you also should be aware that the cruise is SOOOO crowded. I'll never be on Royal Caribbean again! If anyone have similar experience, please reach out to me.

My family and I recently returned from a wonderful cruise on Allure of the Seas to the Bahamas. We booked "the key" which I would definitely recommend if your family plans on paying for WiFi. It's only a few dollars more but on top of WiFi you Also get priority boarding hours before others and a beautiful welcome lunch. The allure is an older ship so keep that in mind. But overall it has lots of great to offer. My family of 4 smooshed into an ocean view balcony room. The room was what I would expect, and you shouldn't be in there for much more than sleep anyways. The room attendants were wonderful and made up the pull out couch fog my kids every night and happily brought us extra pillows as needed. The food options were pretty good but for on demand food my kids leaned mostly on Sorrentos pizza which is open until 3am. The biggest issue I had on this ship was non alcoholic drink options. There is only 3 soda stations on the whole ship. One by the pizza joint on 5th, one on 16 at the windjammer buffet which you cannot access unless it's open and the other we couldn't find.... My advice is bring on waters and drinks to have easily in your room. Because there is no ice machines or easy drink access. This was my biggest pain point. My husband and I had dinner at the Samba Grill which is an extra fee. But booked early at a discount is worth it if you're a meat eater. The sides and such weren't anything to rave about. There is a salad bar, some small desserts and they bring a few breads and other small snacks to your table. But the meats made up for it. The flank steak was the best I've ever had, even better than the incredible filet. They also had chicken, lamb and pork options. Unlimited to your table. But again i would only recommend here if you love meat and can focus on that. You can also use your deluxe drink package at the restaurants, but it takes a little bit if the restaurant doesn't have a bar in it. Pics below are from Samba. The 3rd day we got off at Coco Cay for thrill water park. This was a great time for my kids, the didn't want to leave. Get there at 8 and avoid all the long lines. If you have the deluxe drink package you can continue to use that at thrill and drink away while your kids hit the slides. We had a great choice of beach chairs to chill in the sun. They also have a food stand to grab complimentery burgers, dogs, chicken sandwiches and more. Well worth the entry fee! Back on board the only thing else I'll mention is the casino. There is one VERY small non smoking room and the rest is smoking and decent size but not huge. Only a handful of blackjack tables. So get there early if you want to play the tables otherwise you might be fighting for a spot. But we had a great time at the tables. The dealers were great and most guests were welcome to feedback. All in all, we are home and exhausted but had an amazing time. The entire staff was top notch, food was consistent and available when you need it. I know better for next time to bring aboard extra drinks for my kids or when I don't want alcohol and the Allure will soon be dry docked for renovations. It's a MASSIVE ship that's been well maintained and offers great fun for any age.

Cruises are always a good time! However, was I obsessed with Royal .. eh not really. I overall had the best time, but I have been on other cruise line I like better. My biggest No was the buffet food & the spa. The mini golf was located ON TOP OF THE SPA. Like why? No really .. why? There's definitely a lot to do & a great boat for kids. If I had to go back I would but not as my first option.

Went on this spectacular ship for a Christmas Cruise with good friends. This was for a seven day itinerary. I have been on many cruise ships to compare this to. Allure of the Seas is an Oasis Class Ship and the biggest ship in the industry. This ship does not disappoint. There are 18 decks on this ship! Allure can accommodate 6,780 passengers and is 1,187 Feet Long!!! Make sure you bring comfortable shoes to walk this ship! This ship has a lot of unique features. There are 2 outdoor areas that are beautiful. Central Park and The Boardwalk. The Central Park area is a green space with trees, shrubs, benches, restaurants, bars and shops. The Boardwalk area has a Carrousel, shops, restaurants and bars as well. Off the Boardwalk is The Oceanaria Aqua Show. This is a Aqua theatre where you will see a spectacular dive show into a small pool. It was pretty impressive! There is also a Rock Climbing Wall, a zip line, miniature golf, flow rider as well as many other sports available for you. This ship also has an Ice Skating show which I've seen many times on other ships. It's always a different show and always as impressive as the first time seeing it. You can also skate on the rink at certain times. While we were on board they had several shows with magicians, comedians and a well known musical, Mamma Mia. There are many pools and spas as well as an adult only area and a children's water park pool area. This ship offers many restaurants and bars. For example they even have a Starbucks, Ben & Jerry's, and a Johnny Rocket's. Aside from the main dining room, for a small charge you can eat at one of the many restaurants on board. There is an indoor shopping and restaurant area called the Promenade which is similar to the Adventure Class and Freedom Class Ships. In addition to having your balcony cabin overlooking the ocean you can also choose to have it overlooking the Boardwalk or Central Park areas. There is also a Spa and Fitness area. This ship also has a walking/running track outside on the life boat deck. I personally used it and it was very nice. It is 1/2 mile long and feels as though you are walking along the ocean. I'm sure there are many details I'm forgetting to mention. I'm also sure there are things I didn't have enough time to see or do. There is just so much to see and do I think it's impossible to do and see it all while getting off the ship at the ports of call.

Sorry so late with the Review. I've wanting to travel with Royal Caribbean for a long time now. I've always traveled on Carnival Cruise Lines in the past.I was so glad to finally travel out the country since the Pandemic shutdown. This was my Birthday trip. The Ship is massive compared to the previous Ships I've been on. But I've heard Carnival now has one that rivals theirs. This Ship has a more laidback vibe. They have a lot of things to do like Shows, Plays, Ice Skating, Aquatics Show, a Carousel, Wave Runners, Zip Line, Basketball Court, Miniature Golf, Casino, several Pools, Jacuzzi's, Central Park, designer shops, specialty stores, and many more. Many Restaurants and Cafes along Central Park. So much to see and do. The Staff was great and very accommodating to all of your needs. I can't wait to return to try their other Ships.

Very nice ship, great employees. Only a few negative responses. First the food in the Main Dining Room never seemed to be hot always warm, which I guess would be expected in the attempt to feed a large group of people. Second, you must pay gratuity either prior to the cruise or deducted daily automatic to your credit card. But then you are given envelopes and are expected to give more cash on the last day for good service. Third, why do they charge a gratuity for internet package and soda package when there is no persons involved doesn't make sense. Finally, due to the large amount of passengers the Windjammer Restaurant was always crowded and on several occasions 100% occupied leaving no room to enter. The main show Mama Mia was great. So where the Ice Show and Water Show. The jogging track was nice 2.42 laps per mile. Jogged approximately 12 miles during the trip still gained 5 pounds. Overall, we had a great time on the ship and probably return.

This year we took it upon ourselves to "test out the waters" on cruising during the lull of the pandemic. And I can honestly say we were SO glad we did! While one would think cruising might not be the best choice with everything going on, we honestly felt the safer there than any other place we've been (outside of our living room in our pajamas). And while I do love pajamas, sometimes you just miss the sun! Plus...the vitamin D helps your immune system, so that helps in a totally different way. And did we get some sun! We actually were blessed with only one day of some weather, of which this class of ship handles like a champ. Smaller ships you will feel the tossing and turning of the ship, but these large ships just eliminate that problem. Outside of river cruising or the like, I can't imagine not being on a larger ship in the future. Plus the shows/amenities are just so much better! We purchased both the beverage package (non-alcoholic version) and the dining package. And I can definitely recommend both with high enthusiasm, with specific caveats. For us, it's perfect. However, it might not fit everyone. We don't drink enough to justify the alcohol version, but having access to mixed fruit drinks, smoothies in the gym, Perrier during meals, and most importantly premium COFFEE is just amazing! For the dining package, the food is absolutely the best you can find anywhere. And of course it should be, since you're paying for food when you already had it included. Depending on your needs, I do offer minor warning...We were almost too full from the amazing meals, so it can lose it's charm if you overdo it. Also if you don't like dressing up, most of the high-end places ask for at least above-average dress. But if that is for you, you get the best service with waiters/waitresses that really go above and beyond what you already expect on the ship. Now a word for the pandemic preparation. My experience is pre-Omicron, but they required vaccination and testing right before boarding. Cleaning protocols were extremely fine-tuned with tables promptly cleaned constantly between guests and about anything you can ask for to keep you safe. Masks were required in specific common areas that everyone has to go through inside. I know the winter is harder, as immunity is lower at this time of year and Omicron is on the rise, so I think everyone should judge by their own what they would do. But the best I can do is lay out my experience. Overall, if I would take anything off at all for this ship, it would be that its sister ships have been updated with newer features. This ship currently hasn't been due to the pandemic. If you want things like water-slides, etc you're not going to find them here. But the shows are as amazing and the basics were already extremely nice. It's just a shame the ship has to wait a bit longer.

First and here is what you are probably most interested in post virus. Precautions and how the cruises are different. Note this is a dynamic and changing thing. This can change quickly as a week before our departure I got an email informing me that they were reinstituting masks in all areas of the ship again. I won't make any judgements on the steps they are taking, but will just detail them so you can air up your own mind. Pre cruise- all adults must be vaccinated only young kids can be exempt currently. I took advantage of the new availability to get my 8 year old fully vaccinated for the trip and highly recommend doing this if it is possible. I will detail why later. You also have to get tested and bring the test result and original vac cards to the port with you. I would recommend making an appt at your local CVS for the test and keep in mind you have to do this with the antigen test no more than 2 days in advance. I was sweating bullets as I got a negative then the rest of my families test came back negative. So I breathed a huge sigh of relief. Boarding- no more getting in the ship when you want. In the past I would get to the port at 10:30 to get on the ship first now they will assign you a time to arrive and don't get there early as you won't proceed until that time. I had 1:30 so I got there at 1 knowing there would be huge lines and indeed there was by the time I got to the Pepe to checkin it was close to 1:39. So we proceeded through no less than two separate reviews of vac cards and tests and passports. It was a slow and cumbersome process and surprisingly despite uploading vac cards those apparently were useless as everyone kept asking to see it over and over. On to the ship. The allure is magnificent and one of The top three largest ships in the world. With so many activities you will be beyond busy on this ship. A new first for me was a balcony room. Normally I settle for a ocean view but oddly the balcony was the same price. There were a few unusual things about this trip that I thin add it one of a kind. These ships normally only do the longer cruises. I looked at the schedule and I think this was the only 4 day cruise this year. It was originally a western Caribbean cruise that was changed to just Bahamas and the private island at some point. The ship at my guess was probably limited in capacity to around 50%. What a nice move to allow for less crowding. It belped a lot, but is by no means a gaurentee that you stil won't be jam packed with people. I have never been on such an uncrowded ship particularly during Christmas. That's the Super Bowl Food- overall after my previous three cruises I had noticed a continued trend in sameness inthe main dining rooms during dinner and a noticeable reduction in food quality and taste. Not on this trip. There are actually new choices on the menu and all of the meals I had tasted great and I noticed an improvement in food quality. That's no small feat when the kitchen is making thousands of meals a day. The premium Italian restaurant is a great option as is the lunch at Cho's on a sea day. Final virus thoughts. They are doing a lot to protect guests. Is it a hassle yes, are there major changes that effect the experience yes. The biggest one will be if you have younger kids and are use to having them go to the kids program. We were only allowed 3 total hours for the whole trip as the programs capacity was limited to 15 kids note there were around 159 kids onboard in my daughters age group. I will say the kids program is one of the best at sea so much so my daughter will happily spend every hour at this that it's opened and even elect voluntarily to stay on the ahi at port days. Also if you have a child who is unvaccinated in your party you can only take an excursion at the port and you can't wander around. Additionally you must take an unvaccinated excursion. I didn't have to worry about this though but I saw at least one parent irate as he was kept from leaving the ship at the Bahamas.

An absolutely amazing cruising experience and at one point the largest cruise ship in the world. We took a fairly simple western Caribbean cruise on her and we had a great time. We prefer the mid sized ships to these giant ships truth be told however we would not have passed up a chance to experience this. Central Park and the Promenade are absolute standouts and modern day wonders of the world. On the downside you have to book reservations to attend the various shows due to the number of people onboard. Royal Caribbean is our favorite cruise line and this is experience was just amazing

Love, love, love this ship. Sailed back in August of this year 2022. Had an amazing time. Cruised to Curacao, Aruba and Labadee, Haiti. Fell in love with our oceanview balcony room. Ziplined for the first time in my life on the ship. Amazing shows. Amazing food. Amazing staff, especially our room attendant Sapto. Can't wait to book our next adventure. Only sailed once and with them, but I'm feeling rather loyal to royal at this point in time

I was just on the allure of the seas ,my first impression was this is a very huge ship.me and my wife was on this ship taking a cruise to Costa maya Mexico, cozumel Mexico, coco k ,royal Caribbean personal iland. The cruise went really smooth ,there was a lot of people on this ship.the wind jammer was always full to capacity. So if you went to break fast or lunch ir even dinner late ,you might not get a seat . The food wasn't bad but some of the food could be cooked more well down .that was a gripe for me and my wife. The juice seemed a little watered down. But it wasn't to bad,there was alot to see and do on this ship .you had rock climbing, zip lining & some cool water slides. A casino on deck for all you gamblers. On the broad walk you have some really cool things to do. You have a build a bear for the kids .A nice horse carousel for the kids. Along with a hot dog stand which is free and a free donut stand. You also have a Johnny rockets restaurant that is right there on the broad walk. You can eat all you want for $12.99 ,and take your food to go. The food over at Johnny rockets was really on point. The double cheese burgers to the regular Cheese burgers.even down to their chili cheese fries wow. There chili cheese fries were some of the best I ever tasted. Hands down ,I hade a couple of orders. You can get as many refills as you want on the sodas or water. The restuarant it self looked really cool. From the mirrors on the selling that look like those amusement park mirrors. The tables had old miniature jukeboxes on them.that looked really cool. And the staff was awesome over there. Very courteous and friendly over there. Me and my wife had a blast over there. They also played some really good old school music. A really relaxing atmosphere. You also hade sorrento pizza shop. Had some alright pizza. It was free over there, you could get about 2 slices at a time .the slices were really small so you may need more than 2 to fill you up. The soda over there isn't free a can soda is about $4.00 .if you have the drink package you are good because all of your drinks are included. The staff on the ship was very nice and friendly. And the room attendant was really great. We had a guy by the name of Marcus who was one of the best attendants we ever hade on our sailing endeavours. Marcus really looked out for us,he was very kind and friendly.so we Salute him over there on the 12th floor suite. On other location on the ship that was really cool was central park. It looked really beautiful and it gave you the vibe of actually being in a real park. Complete with really beautiful flowers, and bird chirping .and some bars and restaurants. And a free spot for chips and food. This was one of me and my wife's best places. They also had a floating bar that takes you from near gest services straight up to central park. Really cool .that is a major attraction on the ship .I have to be honest this is an expensive cruise. But if you are a regular sailor. And can take these kinds of trips it is worth it. Not only for the thrills on the ship .but all the ilands you can visit. By going on cruises me and my wife have been all around the world in a short period of time. So I have to thank royal Caribbean for help making some of that happen .note that this is a huge ship .and if you are up to it ,you and your family can explore this massive floating city. Even if you are disabled. They are fully capable and equipped to support your needs. From walkers to wheelchairs, or even motorized scooters. Some make just say this is a vacation others may say this is giving them a chance to see the world .and explore other cultures and see how other nationalities live and survive on a day to day basis. Cool right ,but whatever your reason is traveling the seas.make it a good experience.

Big boat...very congested at evening dining room and buffet at times Dinner menu offers steak entrees which are low grade beef...tough and dry Buffet food is pretty good lots of teenagers wandering aimlessly at all hours with profanity Loudspeaker announcements were impossible to understand and loud Phone app is complicated and hard to navigate Crew members very friendly Ship is kept very clean at all times I would think twice about cruising again on this ship...it is way too big

This is a very large cruise ship but it is definitely a beautiful ship with a variety of areas for all ages and interests. My favorite area was the Boardwalk. I though it was super festive and the Mexican restaurant was close to the Aqua theatre so I could get a good Margarita while watching the show. I did not get a chance to ride the carousel but it definitely was nice to see people having fun while they rode. There was no line for it, I just did other things. I thought this was a great ship for families with young kids because of this area. The dining venues were very pretty too. The décor was bright and quite modern since this ship has not been updated. The Central Park area was nice with lots of greenery and a very calming feel. As large as this ship is, there is so much space that it doesn't really feel crowded. The elevators moved a little slow but because they had windows, it was nice to watch the ride up and down from deck to deck. Service was very friendly although I felt that the crew was so new to the service industry, they had a hard time figuring out American culture. They were hesitant to make substitutions when food was ordered and they seemed to not serve American sized portions. It seemed that we often had to ask for another scoop of this of another slice of that in the Windjammer. Our cabin was nice and quiet and we had a great view from the 10th deck. I look forward to cruising on this ship in the future.

I recently cruised on Allure of the seas. The cruise is ENORMOUS, and I mean it. Children have a curfew (1AM) which is reasonable, and there are so many fun family activities me and my family could undertake that it was almost overwhelming! So so much to do and fabulous service, really. I felt safe with my kids wandering the boat without fear. Cleanliness is magnificent and I felt as if the staff really did an awesome job. We had "The Key" VIP, and it was like royalty. When you get on the boat, you get on about 2 hours earlier than everyone else, and get a lunch for free, and on the last day we got a free breakfast before departing. Honestly, I could blabber about the ship forever. I have no bad reviews and really think the staff did an amazing job. The cruise director, Katy is also a magnificent entertainer. I would recommend this ship is your looking for an RCCL cruise this year!!

Allure was my 7th cruise with Royal Caribbean and the latest experiences haven't been as good as when I first started sailing with them. The reason we went on this ship was my friend was getting married in Central Park onboard. I had been on Oasis (its sister ship) years ago and that was a better experience. We were sailing with a few new cruisers it was exciting to travel with them. The port was easy to get to and the line ups weren't crazy busy for a ship this size. Since we did most of our check in at home, the process was quick and easy. We boarded and checked out a few things on the Royal Promenade before heading up to Windjammer for our first buffet meal. There was a line but we didn't have to wait long. The breakfast line is the longest so be prepared to wait or eat at the Solarium as we did a few times. The menu isn't as big but all the breakfast staples were available. We explored the ship briefly before heading to our cabin on the 9th deck to find our sea pass cards on our door. Our luggage didn't take long to arrive, as it was there about an hour or two after we boarded. We unpacked a bit and then headed off to explore the massive ship. There's a lot to see and do and we probably didn't see everything on the ship. We went to the Solarium to eat, use the hot tub (later at night when it wasn't packed), and sit on the deck chairs, Wipeout Cafe to get an ice cream, Dazzles to see the band and have an after dinner drink, Blaze for 80s night and dancing, Johnny Rockets (free with a Boardwalk balcony room), Central Park Cafe to grab a sandwich and chips to take offboard during port day, late night pizza at Sorrento's, and Boardwalk to ride the carousel or watch the water show. For the wedding day, the greenery in the Park was a great background for the photos. The photographer also took photos of the couple around the ship and it was lovely to get all these different views. The wedding coordinator on board was efficient to make things went smoothly on that day. Being this big, the dining situation for my time dining was very inefficient. Even with a reservation, we were left waiting up to half an hour after our scheduled time. One time it was so late with being seating and getting our food (which took a while) that we missed the Mamma Mia show we had reservations to. Always make reservations before boarding to secure a seat and if you don't show up, they open it up 15 minutes before the show to those that don't have reservations. The waiters and assistant waiters are only trying their best running around to get orders, and food timely but it doesn't work well with all the passengers. We had one waiter that was the best, and only which we had him for the whole cruise. Everyone else just seemed tired and grumpy. We experienced the spa several times as we has the thermal package which included the mud bath for an hour and jacuzzi for an hour. The good thing is they sell a limited number of packages but it can still get busy on the hot chairs. The saunas were nice as they weren't too busy and the rain showers were great to use after. The mud bath was my favourite onboard activity. It was relaxing and my skin still feels smooth a month after. They have a locker room and relaxation room with chairs, water, and magazines. The gym was just upstairs from the spa and although I prefer the gyms on the top deck to look out into the ocean, this one was ok. It wasn't too crowded and there was room for mats and stretching. The shows we saw were good. The adult comedy shows were funny and the ice and water shows were entertaining. We sometimes would go into the casino for late night entertainment or go visit our crew friends in the gift shops. We ziplined onboard, and played mini golf in the dark. We didn't really buy much on the shops except our one bottle of alcohol that we could bring home. You would think I would give this review a higher rating. But the service just wasn't as great on this big ship where I felt I was a number, which I am in a community of 6000 people. Even if I voiced my concern about something, nothing was done about it but it was never anything major. It's just so big that they have a difficult time being organized to ensure people get in and out of the dining room timely to meet other reservations or ensuring they don't run out of food we ordered.

Regarding this specific ship it had a lot to offer. The only thing I would have preferred was a balcony facing the ocean instead of a balcony facing the Ferris wheel. Even with our room being right outside the Ferris wheel it really wasn't too noisy at all in the evening. We enjoyed the specific ship as it stopped at four ports instead of three. Our family has been on a number of royal Caribbean cruises over the last several years. We have yet to be disappointed by any of them. This last cruise we went on was better than any of the other ones because they went to 4 ports instead of three. I prefer going to ports instead of being at sea. Their private island is very exceptional. It had great snorkeling, great swimming, all the free food that you would normally get on the ship was served on the island. If you want to do water parks or other type of paid adventures you can do that or you can just go there and enjoy the free beach with free lifejackets. If there was one area I'd say that the Royal Caribbean cruise line needs to do a little better in that would be offering more fresh fruit type treats as desserts and better desserts. The desserts are pretty substandard and not really worth it in my opinion. I also don't always wanna go and sit down for dinner but if you don't go and sit down and get dressed up and don't get as good of food. I would rather not have to sit for two hours in the evening in order to get lobster or decent exceptional meal. Sometimes I just wanna go to the cafeteria be quick about it but still get good quality like lobster. Overall though I would go on another royal Caribbean cruise in a heartbeat. One thing I didn't notice with this last trip compared to many of our previous trips was that they really got the check in process down. There were no lines or waiting we literally walked right onto the ship that was amazing. Even with all the showing your Covid vaccine etc. they were efficient. The exit off the ship was just as efficient. As long as you have a passport there's no stopping they have a photo ID that identifies you on your passport and customs is a breeze you don't have to stop for anything literally again just walk off the ship. Two really great new features that they've done.

This is a very large and beautiful ship which carries many passengers. There are so many passengers they have many different dining rooms to accommodate all of them. Considering the large amount of passengers you had to put in a reservation with hopes of seeing their entertainment shows. The entertainment was superb, with shows like Mama Mia, Aquatic diving show, ice skating show ,etc. There's always some kind of entertainment and activities going on the ship for all ages to occupy them.Now for the food most of the nights it was delicious, there were a few times we had to complain but we had excellent waiters and they always made it right for us. We love all the quaint little restaurants , sandwich shops, pizza, coffee shops and burgers ,you can always find something to eat most any time of the day. Our room stewart was also excellent kept are room tidy and clean.

This is was definitely not my idea of a vacation and will probably be our last cruise on Royal Caribbean. We are very experienced cruisers but have not been on RCI for about 8 years and wow has it declined. Our entire cruise felt like we were being nickel and dime to death and they were trying to squeeze every penny out of us. Drink packages, photo packages, art auctions, bingo, spa "specials", tours and even shoe inserts and guacamole classes. The list was endless. How about just letting people enjoy their vacation?? The ship is huge and we had over 6,100 passengers on this sailing along with hundreds of small children and kids, it was far worse than being on Disney. The elevators took 10-15 minutes and were almost always packed full. Lines for everything including the Windjammer (buffet) which I have never seen before on any cruise. For this ships size the Windjammer is WAY too small. Even the dining room had a 30 minute wait for breakfast. Disembarking the ship was a total mess with a line wrapped around the outside of the dining room, through the dining room and then a couple hundred people long on the outside deck. It took about an hour to get off the ship at 9 AM. The food was absolutely awful. The quality of the meats was very poor, including in the Chops steakhouse where we had to send two steaks back twice. Most of the food was dry and overcooked and the bread and pastries always tasted day old and hard. I could go on and on but it was bad. The positive points were our cabin and a couple of the shows. We were able to get a Junior suite for a couple hundred dollars more than our balcony. The JS is huge with lots of space, a big walk in closet, lots of storage and a tub/shower combo in the bathroom. We were on the "hump" and had a double depth balcony with two lounge chairs which we enjoyed daily. It was the only place we could get any peace and quiet. We thought Mama Mia, Oceanaria and the stand up comedy was very good. Blue Planet was very boring and the singing was really off key. We never saw the Captain or any senior officers visible around the ship. We only saw the cruise director, Jimmy, for about one minute at a show otherwise never saw him the entire week. This was just a really bad cruise that we tried to make the best of but Royal really made it difficult.

Talk about a floating city for about 6000 passengers, Allure was definitely that. Variety of free food-Sorrentos for pizza, The Doghouse for hot dogs, ice cream shop, donut shop, made to order breakfast at Johnny Rockets and Park Cafe just to name a few. There was also the Windjammer for buffet and Main Dining Room for sit down dining. Specialty restaurants ($) were nice as well. The entertainment was A-1 from the Broadway Mamma Mia, OceanAria, Blue Planet Comedy show there was plenty to make an enjoyable evening. All of the staff I encountered we friendly. Our cabin steward Vince was excellent and provided great service. This is a ship I would definitely book again. Our ports were St Maarten, San Juan and Labadee. *I did encounter one rude person in 7 days Neil @Sorrentos. He was dismissive if my questions both times I saw him. Oh then there was the septic/toilet issue we had on 2 different day(see tweet @run4re2beme) that the staff that called to check about it was a bit rude and made it seem to be our fault and it was not then the DM response that made me feel belittled as well (insert sad face)

First of all let me say that this was a beautiful ship and it had so many other amenities that I've never had on other ships that I've been on (carnival). The board was was really nice, the rock climbing, ice skating and zip line was cool. If you plan to do that, pack some pants, socks and shoes. I didn't pack any of those items. I did like the flow rider thing, the basketball, mini golf and badminton for the kids. Those were all pluses in my book and would be cool for families with kids and teens. It wasn't a wow for me bc it wasn't appealing to me as a young adult. The food that comes free on this cruise line is not up to my standards especially food in the windjammer and in the main dining room. I feel like the food in the windjammer was just made without quality. Besides the fruits and the dessert in the buffet, I really wouldn't swallow anything else. My only option was to either pay to eat decent food like at Izumi, Giovanni's table or Chops grille. On RC, in my opinion, I feel like they want me to pay for decent food and drinks. And my fav drink was the pina colada. $26/2 drinks without he drink package! I calculated and if I got the drink package for my cruise just for me, it would come out to be about $500/pp. I'm not an alcoholic so it's def not worth it for me. But it will be worth it for someone who can drink more than 5 drinks a day. I brought a tervis cup and a bottle to keep water a in my room in the fridge. You can bring 2 bottles of wine per zoom. BUT corking fee is $15 per bottle. Lmao. Do yourself a favor, get the screw top and drink that wine for breakfast overlooking your balcony like me. Lol. Beat the system. So where did I eat? For breakfast: I usually go to parks cafe ( egg/ ham sandwich) or I go to the main dining room if they were open to order a classic. But the hash browns.... well you can tell these people never had a decent crispy fried hash brown from IHOP before. It was soggy as hell!!! For lunch: parks cafe in Central Park again -mostly sandwiches and salads (very fresh) and a glass of OJ to go the hot dog place on the boardwalk- so delicious but I can't eat that everyday. I did add sauerkraut, onion and peppers on my Coney Island hotdog. Izumi- you can do lunch here like I did. Prices are very reasonable but hibachi was $50/person. Which I feel was over price. But those chefs were very entertaining. I just ordered a roll and that was enough to fill me up. My husband ordered a roll with rice paper instead of seaweed. So they did that that option. Dinner: I paid for 2 dinners during my cruise. One was to Giovanni's table- the filet mignon was delicious but the appetizer was not on point. This was $30/ person The other dinner I paid for was chops grille. I had the best bacon in the world at this place. I'll post a pic below. This was $49/ per person My regret was not getting the dining package so that I could eat " good food" every night. I heard amazing things about chefs table which is $98/ person. But it is a 6 course meal and if would be cheaper to get it all in the dining package for. The main courses in the main dining room was eh. I had 2 decent meals out of 4 in the main dining room. So this cruise went to Nassau, St Thomas and St Kitts. My advice, buy you own snorkel and fins. And when you get to port, have fun using it. The rentals are about 10-$20 at each port. And it's used by other people. I wished I would have brought my own stuff. But next time, I def will. In Nassau, I saw tiny baby fishes under water. I was only able to do bc I had my very own goggles. Walk to junkaloo beach from the boat. There's no fee to get on the beach and they do have coconuts for $2. Do NOT buy coconuts on the way to the beach like I did. It was $5 and the meat of the coconut was hard as fuck! In st thomas we did not book an excursion though RC. We saved money by doing our own thing. We took a taxi to Magen's bay and paid for the fee to get on the beach. I'll post pics of the costs. I didn't realized that St Thomas was not a flat island!! News to me when we parked the boat and I saw mountains outside my window! In st Kitts, we toured the island in an air conditioned taxi. I highly recommend this bc it was hot as hell. Be warned that if u see a monkey and u want pictures with it, it will cost $10/ person!! The ride around was awesome. We got to see the poor and rich side of St Kitts. We also got to see where the Atlantic and carribean ocean met. Then I took a taxi to cockelshell beach. It was much smaller than Magen's bay but it was so much less crowded when I went too. They had a bar at this place with motorized water sports for rent here. FYI. I saw fishes larger than my hand under water. The water was clear and so pretty in all of the ports. Use mobile passport if u want to get through custom super fast; carry you own luggage off (6:30-9). Grab breakfast the the dining room at 7 before heading down.

After not going on Royal Caribbean for 15 years I decided to give them a try again. IT WAS THE WORSE MISTAKE EVER. My Granddaughter got assaulted on the Ship and Security on the ship literally did not give a Damn we were told the report would be useless because we were in International waters and no one had jurisdiction except the FBI and they were not going to pursue an Assault Case. I persisted in getting a Report only to get treated as a piece of you know what by them. The report was done, then it took me 3 days to get a copy because everyone Ignored my request. I asked to speak to the Cruise Director, he never showed up, I asked to speak to the Hotel Manager he never showed up and I asked to speak to the Hotel Director, (The main person in charge of everything on the ship besides the Captain) He never called. This ship is a WASTE OF YOUR MONEY. I was Informed by the Head Chief Security (whatever that meant) and he stated that there were several assaults because of a lack of Securities for the amount of people on board. After arriving in Galveston we had the Customs waiting and they too were extremely rude and Informed us that a report would be done but nothing was going to be done by the FBI unless it was a sexual assault or higher. Basically while we were in the office we notice over 10 families that suffered one type of assault or another. I was not aware of how many incidents Royal has every cruise due to lack of protection and securities on board. DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR COMMERCIALS THIS IS A HEAVEN FOR CRIMINALS. The whole cruise besides the shows was awful... The dining room served almost if not the same thing that they had on the lunch menu. The Buffet was the same thing over and over again. There were more people eating Pizza than in the restaurants. The staff in the service desk, buffet and even in the Restaurant all had a could care less attitude. I had approximately 10 to 15 arguments because I had a soda package and I didn't like the fountain drinks because most of the time they were flat and whenever I asked for a can they acted as if I was asking for free Liquor. This cruise ship fought with us on many occasions because they did not want to give me a can of soda vs a fountain drink. Yes we are talking about a can of soda that based on the amount of soda's they buy would probably cost the 50 cents at most. This company is charging more for cruises, yet the have cut so may corners and have lowered their standards so much, I guess to make up the loss they had the last 2 years. I will be going to my congressman to see if legislature can be done to protect our US Citizens from crimes while on the ship. you all should do the same. Don't wait until you get assaulted to do the same.

The Allure is a great choice for first-time cruisers. We took our parents and they loved it. Plenty of food, easy walking track & fitness center, lots of great options for free shows, streaming wifi for multiple devices, and a beautiful boat. We got an accessible room for my parents, which turned out great and much easier and safer to get around. Our only other cruise we've been on was the Symphony. Some standouts: * New York strip steak everyday at the American Icon, so flavorful and tender * Sorrento's pizza was absolutely delicious, couldn't resist late night slices! * Ice skating shows. If you get there early you can sit in 1st or 2nd row and get a great view. The ship had two shops, Monopoly and How to Train Your Dragon * Black pepper bacon at Chop's Grille (this is the only item that's extra fee) * When you arrive at Caribbean ports, this is the best looking boat by far compared to all the other lines. A lot of the Carnival boats especially look very old by comparison. Some minor disappointments: * No waterslides on this boat * Chop's Grille Ribeye was disappointing, defnitely wouldn't pay extra for this, way too fatty (even for ribeye) and hard to chew. Maybe we got a bad one. The filet was pretty good. * Hot water usually has a slight coffee taste from the metal holding containers. Took multiple tries to figure out where the best hot water was

I absolutely LOVED this ship and had an amazing time from the moment I arrived at the port. This was my first time sailing out of Port Everglades. The line to check in was pretty long when I arrived. No more than a minute later, my party of 4 was pulled out of line to the side and checked in for expedited boarding. From the moment that we got out of our shuttle and onto the Promenade Deck, only fifteen minutes had passed. There is so much to do and see on a ship this size. From the breath taking view of Central Park and Boardwalk at night, to zip lining and ice skating on the ship, to gambling in the casino. There is something for everyone to enjoy. The entertainment was top notch. Mamma Mia and Blue Planet were amazing. The food options were limitless. The buffet also offers a section with all gluten free options. Although I spent 7 days on this amazing vessel, I still didn't a chance to explore everything. This will not be my last time on Allure of the Seas.

Since there is so much to review on one ship I will break this into a few parts to make it easier to read. Ship: Overall, the ship is amazing. As of the time of this review it is the biggest cruise ship in the world. There is more than enough things to do on board, even after a week we did not try most of them. You will never be bored at sea, we had two sea days at the end of the cruise and thought beforehand we might be bored, that was not the case at all. Usually we made some sort of plans to do something and got busy doing something else and before you know it you are back. The staff does a great job cleaning every single inch of the ship and it was just perfect the whole time. Room: The rooms are small, but that is to be expected. I had an ocean view with a balcony. It was amazing to open the curtains in the morning and have a new view or see a new island or country out of your window each day. What I was pleasantly surprised to find out was how great the showers were on board, the pressure was really great and the water would get much hotter than you would ever want it. They will service your room 2-3 times a day to make sure you always had fresh towels and everything was picked up. A tip though - I would bring a small fan with you to put in your room. I was worried about the A/C, which turned out to be great, but the fan was nice really for the white noise. Some days I spent in until like 10-11, so as you can imagine there was some other people awake before me. The fan helped keep the noise the same in my room as keep me asleep. Food: - WindJammer (Buffet) Great buffet with new food each meal, some of the staples are the same. This place had some of the better food on the ship to my surprise, the only thing that kept me from going here more was sometimes it was a madhouse or just had too many kids for my sanity. If you are a parent and are bringing your spawn out in public please control them. No one wants to hear your children scream while they are eating. - Vintages (Wine Bar): Best bar on this ship, super nice staff. Every Time I stopped in this place for glass of wine I always ended up talking to other passengers or the staff and it was nice and inviting. They had a very large variety of good wine from all over the world and are happy to give you a taste of anything you may want to try. - Chops (Steak House): This is one of the few places you can pay for food on the ship, you pay a set per person extra fee and can order whatever you want more or less. Here is the deal with Chops, if you are used to going to Longhorn Steakhouse, you will think Chops is just amazing. If you are used to going to Morton's you will not be as impressed. - Sabor (Mexican): Even if you do not eat any of the food here, walk in and try the Avocado Margarita, if you have the alcohol package it is included, so have a few. It was very good and the staff here is great. -Giovanni's Table (Italian): This is another pay resturaunt, I think it was a set $25 per person and you can order anything you want, this includes salads, soups, apps, entree and dessert. Probably the best meal I had on the ship overall, everything was great and this was the one pay resturaunt I think was worth spending the money for. There is like 25 places to eat on this ship plus room service, I will not review bore you with all of them, but the food is good, some places had better food than others though. Drinks: I got the Premium drink package for $49 a day, it was cheaper to buy it on the ship on day one than it was online ahead of time. Anyways, it was unlimited beer wine (up to $13) bottles water, shots, etc... I was not sure if I would use this because while I have a few drinks, I am not an all day drinker, but I think it was worth it to not have to worry about anything. Plus if you do not like a drink, get another one.... or two. I would encourage people to go to all the different bars and check out the drink menus at each of them, even the pay restaurants, because they all have different cocktails and they are all very different. Your package will let you get a drink from any of them for free. Here is the only bad part of the ship... The SPA. The reason I saw that is because they will not stop trying to sell you things every second you are there. If you get a message and want to just relax, nope.. talking the whole time telling you what products you need to buy or what else you need to book. I have never seen such an atmosphere of high pressure sales and I spoke with any other passengers on this ship and they all had the same experience. This is probably a management/incentive issue, but I would not go back. When you are paying as much as they charge in the first place just please shut up and let us enjoy it. Overall though it was a great trip. I did have to tell myself, "It is their cruise too" a few times after being annoyed by a few passengers.

This 7 day voyage started well with by an organized check in process and boarding process. It got better after the first few hours of fully understanding where the priorities were located at such as the fitness center, eateries, and lounges. The variety of food and service were outstanding. Yes, during two events, a few employees weren't the most friendly to passengers, however the other personnel made up for their lack of attention. The shows were decent and the ability of getting your agenda accomplished, may it be work or relaxation was available. I would return on this vessel for my next voyage.

I've been on a handful of cruises and man, Allure was a lot bigger than I imagined!! I wish there was a horizontal elevator that could take me from the front to the back of the ship! Food - 3/5 Inconsistent quality. We had all our breakfast meals in the Amercian Icon Grill dining room. The selection was similar to other cruises. The eggs were sometimes very overcooked though, for example, the eggs in the eggs benedict were never running. The hash browns were dry. I wish they had some more unique breakfast options. The lunch menu from the American Icon Grill looked good, but everything tasted so bad except for the chilled fruit soups. I loved the salad and the stir fry buffet though. The lunch buffet in Windjammer was okay. Lots of selection and they replenished food very quickly. The fish and curry was so good! We had dinner in the Silk Restaurant every night. The menu options were decent, there's something for everyone. I found everything a little too salty though, especially the soups. The deep fried fish was extremely salty the first night. The soufflés did not rise very much. The pizza from Sorrento's was very good. Hot, fresh, and super crunchy! Entertainment - 4.5/5 The shows were very good, suitable for both adults and children. I loved the Aqua, Ice Games and the comedy shows. Mamma Mia was a little long for families, especially for the 9:30pm-12am showtime. It would've been better if they shortened or split it into first and second parts on different days/times. There's also lots of unique activities around the ship. I tried zipline, rock climbing, and Flowrider! The lines weren't very long. They also had lots of Dreamworks dance parties/parades that were fun for all ages. Service - 4.5/5 Our stateroom attendant Marianne was excellent. Always very cheerful and friendly! 5/5 for her! Our main dining room server and assistant servers were very quick and helpful also. When we had an early show, they were able to get our orders in very quickly (less than an hour for the entire meal!). The overall service on the ship was good. One person I want to point out who had the worst attitude is hostess in the Amercian Icon Grill. She never asked if we wanted buffet or a la carte for breakfast. Every morning we wanted a la carte but a few times she gave us buffet and we didn't know. Waited for a long time and were given no menus. She also never gave us a table big enough for the number of people in our group. Terrible attitude when we tell her. App - 2/5 The times on the app were not accurate for the first few days. Also lacks a very important feature of instant messaging between cruisers. It did show all the menus for each night in the main dining room though.

I have a lot of mix feelings concerning my adventures aboard the Allure of the Seas, but have to preface my review by stating that I was not aboard for an actual cruise but a 14 day transatlantic (repositioning) crossing from Barcelona, Spain to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Though I would think that things would be the same as between a crossing and a cruise, there is a possibility that they are not. Hence, I feel obligated to point that out. The Allure of the Seas is not only unbelievably huge is size, 2 inches longer than the Oasis of the Seas hence the world's largest, but an incredibly beautiful ship throughout. One of the highlights for me were their shows. If I could rate the shows, the staging, the lighting systems and the technology behind them 10 stars, I would. The best I've ever seen aboard in ship, made possibly by some of the most incredible automated and moving stage devices I've ever seen even surpassing many of those I seen in Las Vegas. How Royal Caribbean accomplishes all the tech that goes into their staged performances, particularly their Aqua Show, in salt water environment is not only unbelievable but breathtaking as well. As for food, they were just in the process of starting with a plan they call "dynamic dinning," intended to involve differing dining schedules, reservations and a whole lot of computer crap that I don't think their computer systems are yet capable of handling. And speaking of computer systems, when it comes to booking any trip or whatever, Royal Caribbean has the least friendly, least intuitive, most glitch prone worse system of any cruise line I've ever dealt with. A low down fat One Star for that. I might also add that though the service was top notch the main dining room food was only par for ships food and the overall service rather lackluster. There were no waiter dances, no March of the Baked Alaska, no Parade of the Cherries Jubilee. As far the quality of food goes, it's overall about on par with most other cruise ships operating in its price class even though on Some however, such as Park Café which serves up a Beef on Kummelweck, are, though popular, a rather pathetic joke for those knowledgeable about what a real "Beef on Weck" is all about. No double dipping of buns or fresh ground horseradish are offered and the beef sliced too thick and incorrectly with reference to the grain. My suggestion would be to send their cook off to Buffalo, New York to places like Schwabl's or Charlie the Butcher's to learn how it's properly done. As for their specialty restaurants, being the foodie I am, went to each of them, finding Chops Grill to be extremely good and 150Central Park excellent as was the service in both. As far as some of the standard types of entertainment common to most cruise ships, dull, lackluster and downright boring. A comedy club with only one standup comedian, a pathetic nonevent of sail away party without walkabout cocktail service and, if you can believe this, a band that quit playing even before we set sail though our departure sailing had been delayed. Then there is a supposedly "late night" piano bar with a rather unaccomplished piano player who even folding things up and quit player at 11:00 o'clock. Like really now, is 11:00 considered to be "late hours" on RCL? For a beautiful gorgeous ship and the very best in shows backed by incredible staging technology, the Allure is Five Stars but for standard bar, club and dining room entertainment (actually there was no dining room entertainment....not even any background music) Two Stars at best with overall food in the common dining room amounting to nothing special. So would I book on Allure of the Seas again? The answer is no. Overall I've found any number of the ships of Cunard, Carnival, Norwegian, Celebrity, MSC, etc., all of which I've had repeated cruises and crossings aboard, to be overall superior with their common dining area entertainment, their overall food at least equal but common bar and club entertainment far superior, resulting in a much more fun filled cruising adventure. However whether you're a cruiser or a crosser and no matter your tastes, ships and ship passengers vary widely from Holland America on one end, noted for the least amount of passenger partying catering mostly to the elderly and oft referred to as a floating convalescent home to any one of the Carnival Line catering to a younger set and generally noted with cruises equated to a drunken brawl, down to Disney, which of course is entirely child and family oriented.

To be honest we were a tiny bit apprehensive about cruising on such a large ship. Our concerns revolved around the shear number of people, 6,500 passengers and 2,500 crew; and the resulting possibility for long lines. Well, there were none. Yeah a few times there were some short lines for a few things, but because there was SO much to do, people were spread out over many venues. We traveled New Year's week with a family group of 11, including 5 kids, ages 9-14. Even though it was a bit chilly to hit the pools a lot, between the rock climbing walls, zip lines, ice rink, boogie boarding, (all with only very limited waits) and all the great entertainment, everyone, including the kids were keep very busy. We enjoyed our meals, both on the decks and in the dining room. And there was great service from a crew the really wanted you to enjoy.

I have cruised with other cruise lines before, but this was my first on Royal Caribbean. The ship itself was the best I have been on. I believe there is currently only one ship bigger than Allure of the Seas, with another record breaker to debut soon. There were some rough patches, but for the most part, I could hardly even feel the ship moving, which was great.  The interior felt more like a mall than a ship, and you could easily forget you were even on water.  As for the food, everything I tasted ranged from good to excellent. Sorrento's was by far the best tasting pizza I have ever had on a cruise ship. I had it daily, as my 2nd, 4th, and 6th meal (breakfast, pizza, lunch, pizza, dinner, pizza). If pizza isn't your thing, the ship does offer plenty of dining options to keep everyone happy. Even their sugar free and vegetarian options were great.  Customer service was 4 stars while on board, but 1 star prior to boarding. I say this because I sent several email inquiries to their customer service dept, and did not hear back until after I already boarded. This is only my theory and not fact, but I believe the delayed response was intentional. Through no fault of their own, they had to change the itinerary multiple times (weather issues, which I understand).  Their website was great about keeping passengers aware of the changes, but zero effort was put in to satisfy any inquiries beyond the general posting.  I even received an automated reply saying that they were committed to responding and resolving issues/inquiries in a timely manner... but, they were not. That said, the ship experience itself helped me forget about my crankiness pretty quickly. I just wish they would have held true to their supposed policy of customer satisfaction, prior to boarding. Overall, the ship's employees were awesome and the activities were well organized and very enjoyable. I only ran into 1 or 2 sub par staff members, out of the 30 or so that I had actual interaction with. In spite of the pre cruise hiccup, I was happy with my experience, and would return under the right circumstances.

"A floating Oasis" Oasis of the Seas has an abundance of amenities not found in other cruise ships. Cruise lines are constantly reinventing the definition of voyage on the high seas, and Royal Caribbean has certainly captured the hearts of travelers with this behemoth vessel. The sheer size of the activities list available between ports of call will keep everyone occupied and the amenities onboard is designed to help alleviate sailing boredom. Our 7 day cruise took us on tour of the Eastern Caribbean with stops in Nassau, St. Thomas, Tortola, British Virgin Islands, and St. Kitts. Check-In: I recommend arriving 45 minutes prior to the boarding doors opening for check-in. There will be an insane amount of passengers that will be transiting through the boarding gates and lines will be long. Punctuality allowed us to visit and speak to the customer service counter regarding excursions, explore the ship, and settle in. Rooms generally open 3 hours prior to departure to allow guests time to relax and unpack. Onboard Attractions/Amenities: The ship boasts a Central Park area, aqua theater, zip line, Boardwalk carousel, 11 bars, 9 complimentary dining spots, 8 specialty dining options, 7 retail shops, 2 flow riders, 4 pools, 6 whirlpools, ice skating rink, sport court, opal theater, on air club, ice cream parlor, youth zone, conference center, spa & fitness, running track, and medical facilities. I recommend trying the Rising Tide Bar. This bar is build on an oval platform and rises from deck 5 to deck 8. Departure times listed on an automated screen on both stops. Excursions: I highly recommend purchasing the excursions directly through Royal Caribbean. They provide a guarantee that the ship will wait for any delayed passengers who are on an excursion trip. We purchased the zip line on Tortola British Virgin Islands and snorkeling/catamaran ride on Nevis Islands, West Indies. Transportation is included with the excursions and depending on the operator, they may also include a light snack and alcoholic beverages. Both excursions were on time and the tour coordinators were knowledgable of the areas and local history. There is a set departure time and anyone arriving late that is not on a Royal excursion will be left behind. Onboard meals/drinks: The meals onboard ranges from buffet to gourmet. Make sure to pack business casual attire for formal dinner evenings. Most of the food is included with the cost of the cruise. There are other onboard specialty restaurant choices which will cost extra. Room service is available at all times. Guests can order through the in room tv systems or call directly via room phone. Alcohol, water, coffee, teas, juices can be purchased as a unlimited package. Passengers can purchase the drink packages from anyone of the multiple kiosks in the main promenade. We recently found out about the drink card option. For $79.00 passengers can purchase a 10 stamp card and is good for any 10 alcoholic beverages valuing up to $13 per drink. Onboard Entertainment: A list of daily activities and port of call information is provided the night prior by the cabin attendants. Guests can select from available activities such as a flash mob dance, karaoke, salsa dancing, comedy show, and even wine tasting are just a few of the many options available to pass the time while at sea. I recommend using in room tv system to book the shows and arrive early as seating is first come first serve. Cruising is a fun way to visit multiple places and allows for some rest and relaxation while touring. I recommend checking the required paperwork/identification prior to the cruise to avoid any complications with immigration.

I was on this ship for a New Year Eve cruise and other than the mega high price as compared to going 3 weeks later, it was a fantastic cruise. There are tons of detailed reviews here and I will just post a few highlights that I found interesting. The inside cabins that overlook Central Park with a balcony are probably the best bang for the buck in terms of the price of a cabin. No matter how petite you may be, the showers are mega small. The restaurant food and service are pretty decent, but not spectacular. If you are a foodie, then take advantage of the specialty restaurants. If you are into casual, then hit the Windjammer buffet. The shows are really good and I particularly enjoyed the water shows. The Izumi Sushi was absolutely incredible and was one of my favorite sushi meals ever. Sabor Taqueria and Tequila Bar was a great place for guac and chips and a Margaretta My favorite secret spot is deck 14 at the front of the ship and on the Port side, you can go outside and on the two wings that over look the ship and it is never crowded there.

This was my third cruise in my lifetime. And as a 20 year old, here's my outlook. Since alcohol's out of the picture, I really had to make the most out of the food and events on the boat. The Windjammer buffet really was a hit or miss. The food always LOOKED good, but the taste on most of the dishes were lacking. Good selections for vegetarians though. As for the dinner service, it does take a while to get the food out so expect a 1-2 hour meal. Portions are small but quite aesthetic. The food itself is decent but not worth the long wait. They do offer small bread while you wait but the bread is cold. From cast member to waiter, the service is always good. Employees are always happy and energetic. The comedy shows are pretty funny and it's nice to be in a 18+ area at night to get away from screaming younglings. Overall, the cruise is packed with plenty of things to do but a lot of options cost an extra arm and leg. The arcade sucks money straight from your wallet with $1-$2 games. A minuscule zipline isn't worth the money either. But who doesn't like walking down at 3 am to get free hot pizza?

Oasis of The Seas made me a believer! I was skeptical about Mega Ships and cruising with 5000+ of other passengers and 2000+ crews. Imagine how crowded everywhere and all the lines to do anything?! But surprises, there were hardly any lines and everything so organized! RCCL does such an amazing job in logistic and crowd control. I know something people get frustrated because everything seems to need a reservation: Dining and Shows. For someone like myself, I enjoyed doing all the pre planning and I like how I can be more in control of my everyday activities even before I board the ship. And if you want, you can just book fixed dinning and do no planing at all. Quite a lot of people did stand by for shows and can get in with no problem. So really depends if you just want to chill or you want to do everything! The ship has a lot of interesting area to explore. I like how the ship is break up into different neigbhourhood. Each has it's different character and even each bar in the neighbourhood has a different theme and serves different drinks!! I don't really care much about the ports. But since none of the ports are tender ports so I can get on and off the ships whenever and I usually do that when the gangway is not busy. Since then, I have been on Allure of The Seas (Oasis Sister Ship) and had a great time. And this is probably my prefer ship class from RCCL.

There is just too much to say positive that I could go on all day so I will keep it concise. But overall I never had a better vacation. Every crew member was amazing. Drone our stateroom attendant on deck nine ALPHONSE, all the waiters at American icon, sorrentos, sandwich shops all the bartenders, Daria who cut my hair the towel guys, the guys and girls on boardwalk who sold me watch and bag. The nice guy who taught the cupcake class. The whole kids club staff ESPECIALLY THE GIRL WHO CALLED EVERYONE SUGARFOOT(kids loved you) . Tim the cruise director who was hilarious We just loved everything about the vacation. We already put deposit down for harmony of the seas in 2018

Shocked with all the fabulous reviews!! Went on the allure of the Seas a week before thanksgiving 2013. The travel agent told us there was 5000 passengers, and the staff told us 6000- and boy did we feel it. Fighting people to get on elevators, lines wrapped around the hallways for shows and dinner, not a chair to be found at the pool... Are you serious? At 1800 dollars per person, have a few less people, folks! The shows were great and the staff was super helpful... Just need more crowd control and half the amount of passengers. My favorite part of the cruise was getting off the boat! The volume of people on this trip just sucked the life out of me. Last time I'll be cruising!

I was a first time cruiser, very skeptical of enjoying being on a boat for 7 days, but I am SOLD! I had 7 days of pure bliss, relaxation, and fun! From the entertainment, service, food, amenities, and the beautiful details on the ship...everything was A+++. Entertainment/Things to do: Water Shows Ice Skating Show Tribute Band Show Comedy Show Ziplinging - Awesome, although fairly quick - still so much fun and who would think you could zipline on a ship?! Flowrider - always fun to watch people eat it! lol Mini Golf Ice Skating Casino - spent a lot of time here =D Nightclub Plenty of Bars - the coolest one was the bar that raised up from the ground - it was like a little ride! Pools+Jacuzzi - one for kids and 4 adult pools. Royal Caribbean staff put their heart into making the shows great and you can tell - some of the highlights were their theater EARTH performance, Oceanaria, Tribute Band...so entertaining! Food: We ate at the Main Dining room almost every night - you have a set server who you see everything. They serve anywhere from steaks, lobster, pastas, just your regular main courses. That was always good - too much food and you can order seconds...thirds and so on! Chops - Premium paid dining (Steaks & Seafood) so good and service was out of this world! Windjammer - this was the go to place for breakfasts, lunches, dinners and inbetweens. Food was fresh and really tasty for a buffet. Sorrento Pizzeria - for the late night drunkie munchies Drinks - we had the all inclusive drink package which worked out if you plan on having 5+ drinks a day. If you pay per drink - it ranges from $10-12 per alc drink. Service was the best - from the wait staff, bar staff, pool service, housekeeping. Everyone went above and beyond! I really loved how you could make dinner and excursion reservations prior to coming on the ship - so when you board you really don't have to worry about waiting in lines trying to book things. I loved being able to plan the itinerary. All in all - I really enjoyed Royal Caribbean and will be cruising many more times in the future!

Wow! What an amazing experience working with Royal Caribbean. We booked for January 22 out of Fort Lauderdale for eight nights. we made a decision to cancel our reservations due to COVID 19. We canceled last Wednesday and received 100% refund by today.(7 days)When we feel safe enough to travel, we will definitely book on Royal Caribbean.

Best cruise ship and most entertaining. If you have been on a RCCL cruise ship before, then everything will be very familiar. But things have been improved upon. There are more specialty restaurants, more entertainment venues, bigger and better shows, more shops, and more partying! One things that stands out, is the Central Park. This is where most of the specialty restaurant are located. Park Cafe is also here, the best place to eat casually with possibly the best fresh food, like freshly made breakfast sandwiches, made to order salads and freshly baked muffins. Make all your show and specialty restaurants reservations before you leave (online) and you will not have to stand in line onboard. Captain Johnny is a hoot!

It's been years since I took a cruise on Royal Caribean Sovereign of the Seas so I didn't know what to expect. I chose the the seven night cruise to the Eastern Caribbean which included stops in Nassau Bahamas, St Thomas and St Maarten. I booked this cruise about 4 months ago so It was kinda short notice. Before you cruise I would recommend booking online your shows, specialty dinning package and wine package. I didn't book my shore excursions until we reached shore and actually saved money by waiting. The specialty dinning package was worth the $65.00 a person up charge BC you saved money and it included dinner at Giovanni's table, 150 Central Park (James Beard award winning chef Michael Schwartz) and Chops Grill. The service and quality of food at all three of the restaurants was outstanding. I opted for the Platinum wine package which enabled me to choose from 7 bottles of sparkling wine, Chardonnay or red wines during dinner. Several times we didn't finish the bottle and the waiters corked it to enjoy at one of the shows or lounges after dinner. Booking a wine package saves you 25% We dined at the main dinning room 4 times and had seating at a table for four. We had company on two of the four nights and had good company with a couple from Alabama. The food and service were good but not as upscale as the specialty restaurants. I guess when your serving nearly 2,700 people per seating it's more difficult to pull off. I was actually impressed with the service, efficiency and quality overall. In addition to eating here or the specialty restaurants mentioned above you have additional choices at the Solarium (lighter and Healthier choices - fee at dinner), Windjammer a buffet which I never tried and Izumi which is an Asian specialty restaurant - $5.00 fee for dinner plus Ala carte menu. The activities on the ship are endless - two forty foot rock climbing walls, two flow rider surf machines, zip lining, putting green course, ping pong, basketball & soccer courts, Ice skating, casino, Bingo, Hairspray play, Comedy club, Jazz club, several lounges, Oasis Of Dreams outdoor water show, full service spa, fitness center and jogging track. Not to mention what I've missed. As for service on the ship it was solid throughout. When I arrived to my room with an ocean View balcony, my luggage already had arrived. The stateroom was spotless and the attendant services it several times a day. On TV I had options to check daily activities, my itinerary by day and even book shore excursions. Quite efficient! The ship has 7 distinct neighborhoods - Central Park, Boardwalk and Grand Promenade were standouts, 25 different dinning options and a crew of 2400 to service your needs. Our cruise director Ricky Matthews was energetic and so awesome. When I cruise again, I'll definitely look to the Royal Caribean family for sure.

Amazing. I love cruises. I have been on several cruises, and Royal Caribbean has always been my favorite. They are clean, efficient, reliable, quality, and friendly. There's so many amenities on the boat, and the food is exquisite. Huge ship, but it is managed so well. Great trip. Definitely would reccommend for both first-time cruisers and vets. Another side note: I have serious food allergies and they were VERY attentive the whole time. Very accommodating and always making sure I had good food to eat. Thankful for the staff that helped me out!

This ship is amazing. This was my second time cruising on it. There are so many activities planned, you can never be bored. This ship attracts a younger age group. Last year I sailed on Holland America which has an older demographic on board. On board activities: zip lining, ice skating, surfing, shuffle board, dive show, rock climbing, ice skating show, Chicago production, parades, shopping, dodge ball, basketball, table tennis, merry go round, mini golf, walk/run track, gym, spa, & EATING. The food was the best I have had on a cruise ship. I have been on 20 cruises with various cruise lines and was very impressed with the food on this ship. There is the main dining room and other free restaurants to try. I like the Park Café for the hand carved roast beef sandwich. There were 6,000 passengers on board, but it only felt crowded on the first day. After that everyone spread out and it was fine. They load and unload the ship very quickly in ports. Staff is friendly. Ship is well kept and very clean. I would sail on this ship again. RCCL has a great product.

Our most relaxing vacation was made possible by this grand ship. When we sailed in May of this year, it was the largest cruise ship in the world with a capacity of almost 10k people. We sailed at a full capacity, but never once did we feel that there were other 5998 passengers inside. Even during the multiple onboardings and deboardings, the crew has everything down to a science. Food: Plenty of choices on both inclusive and specialty restos. The food overall was just okay, I can't even recall something that I ate that was notable. The best resto for us was the Garden Cafe which is Chipotle-style but for salads and sandwiches, so fresh and the line moved quickly. They have this yummy roastbeef sandwich with au jus. You can also get a snack-size Lays chips. Service in the sit-down areas could be slow but attentive, pleasant and at times entertaining. Rooms: Size-wise, it's way bigger here compared to the older ships. The layout has a good flow. Each room gets cleaned twice a day, one in the am and one in the pm. Entertainment: The best part of the journey. High-quality performances and productions that rival that of Las Vegas. We enjoyed the show that we saw each day. The best ones were the outdoor pool diving and ice game shows. Pool: There is a separate area for adults (RC's signature) that has the pool and 2 huge jacuzzis with a view. There's also this "healthier" resto inside the adult pool area. Service: Crew could be friendlier and more engaged. I've been to friendlier cruises (Norwegian is the best-staffed). Aesthetic: A beautiful, gorgeous ship. Well-designed and just huge! Highlights: - garden/park area (this is my favorite) with live trees, plants, flowers. Like a mini-central park-- very unique - outdoor pool diving show-- breathtaking - carousel at the boardwalk - the promenade that has stores like Michael Kors and Kate Spade - balcony rooms with garden or boardwalk view - its own Starbucks shop! We've raved about this cruise ship to just about everyone we know cause it was really worth the dollars. We even enjoyed staying in the ship more than the caribbean destinations.

If I could give this company 0 stars I would. Horrible customer service. Cancled our stop in roatan due to weather but won't replace the stop somewhere else. Not only that they want to give an on board credit instead of a refund for the shore excursion. Who wants to go on a 6 night cruise and sail 4/6 days. I will never go on royal again

THIS IS A REVIEW OF OASIS OF THE SEAS AND NOT ALLURE. Don't know why it lists, Allure. Every single review that has less than 3 Stars is pretty much spot-on for an honest review. I've read them all. Any 5 Star review is probably an Emerald level cruiser and they get catered to, so Yeah, they had a great cruise! Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines' anchor has been snagged on a reef and their crown doesn't shine like before. We are currently on our sixth cruise with RC, on the Oasis of the Seas and it is absolutely the worse cruise ever! We finally talked some family members in to joining us and we have been embarrassed with how much we talked about how fantastic RC vacations are. What a let down. My wife and I enjoyed all the amenities and the caring service of so many previous cruises, that we were ecstatic to finally get to Platinum Level. We looked forward to this 7 day cruise and are really disappointed in the lack of EVERYTHING that we have been accustomed to as frequent cruisers. First, I will say that there are way too many people on this boat. There are not enough amenities to support the guests. LINES FOR EVERYTHING! It's like standing in line at Disneyland. I've always enjoyed cruises, because of the "walk in" concept of shows, eating, etc. Every where you look, there is a huge line. EVERYWHERE! At times, you couldn't walk from one place to the other. There would be a huge Line Dance class in the middle of the Promenade. How stupid is that? Note to Parents: If your kids aren't old enough to walk on their own and you have to push them around in a stroller, or even a DOUBLE stroller, because you lack timing, LEAVE YOUR BRATS AT HOME! Keep in mind, everyone hates your kids and that goes double on a cruise. They're a nuisance and although you think you are a good parent, your kids' behavior shows that you are not! Secondly, where is the cocktail service? Servers on the Oasis avoid crowds of people like the plague. Every drink that I've ordered so far, I've had to hunt down a server or end up going to the bar. I guess when you pay for their expensive drink package upfront, they already got their money, so screw the guests that already paid. My wife and I walked to the pool bar and when it was our turn "in line, again" two bartenders were pouring drinks as a third bartender walked up. Instead of getting our drinks he started putting glasses away. Priorities I guess and RC guests are not priorities. He could have at least said, "I'll be right with you". Instead, he just ignored us and we stood there, until someone else helped us. Oh and he was a bartender, because he served us the day before. Thirdly, the younger the crew member, the lousier the service and less personable. This particular ship seems to have a large number of American millennial type staff, and with automatic gratuities already charged to your account, these kids will make their tips no matter how poor your service is. The first two days of the cruise we could only get drinks at the bars, because there was no waiter-staff to serve drinks. Maybe they got on at the second port. Next is the lack of shore excursions. My family went on an excursion that we raved about. Although the destination was the same, the excursion itself turned into a self guide dump-off. So they spent good money and we're basically ripped off. Since it was a RC excursion, I blame RC. It's not like there are a lot of shore excursion options for such a crowded ship anyhow. Lesson learned, I guess. The quality of excursions are the absolute worst. We actually booked excursions through private websites, that are much better than the garbage that RC had left over. The only good part of this cruise is the Dining Room. The Dining Room experience is still the best in the business. Always great service and great food. I guess the dining room falls under a different department? or Supervisor? When all things are equal with businesses, what really makes one stand out over another, is customer service. I've heard that other cruise lines will transfer our platinum status to their cruise lines for a chance to win new customers, so I think it's time to shop around for a cruise lines who prides themselves on the impeccable service that Royal Caribbean used to have.

Overall the cruise was really good. The food is great and service (for the most part) is amazing. The exception is the shore excursions. The ones we took were expensive for what they offer, but the worse of all was Costa Maya where we took the Mayan Ruins tour. It's a one-hour one way trip to see 3 ruins.... the tour guide did not speak english very well and was really hard to understand. Also his explanation was very vague, he literally said "go explore for 20 min and I'll wait here in the shadow" - complete waste of time and money. However, the absolute worse part of this experience was the response we got from the excursion desk lady at Royal Caribbean. She immediately got defensive as if we were insulting her, claiming that was her best excursion in Costa Maya with the best tour guides. TERRIBLE customer service, the way she treated us was unacceptable.
