Royal Davui Island Resort, Fiji

Best trip of our lives! Wow! I can’t not write a review about our time at Royal davui! We went 18 months late celebrating our 20th anniversary. Ha! ||Everything was perfect. The villa was clean, quiet, and private. The staff was AMAZING! We loved getting to know them and feeling so well taken care of. And keeping us well stocked with coke no sugar 😂. We did almost every activity they offer. We loved fishing and snorkeling and diving and kayaking, paddle boarding and the massages and the sand cay picnic. Kava night and crab races. We went to church (10/10 recommend! The music was electric and so powerful!) and the hike and the village visit. The food was amazing and they did a great job accommodating my food allergies (gluten and dairy). The beauty of the island and reef and people were unmatched. We are telling all our friends to put it at the top of their short list. Best trip ever!

My husband and I spent 7 nights over Christmas at Royal Davui and cannot recommend it enough. If you're looking for a sign to book the trip, this is it.||Starting off with what makes this place extra special: the people. Never in my life have I met friendlier people so willing to help as well as share their own culture and stories with you. As soon as you step on the island you're greeted by the amazing team *literally* singing you a warm welcome before grabbing a welcome drink and a tour of the island and amenities. Throughout the week we had the privilege of getting to know several of the staff members who graciously shared their stories and culture with us, greeting us with a smile and a Bula whenever we saw them. Big shoutout to Vito and Paul for making sure our drinks were never empty, Ben and Sparky for including us in Kava tasting and explaining its importance in the Fijian culture. Also big thanks to Mela, Sera, and Lydia for taking such good care of us every morning, making sure we had full bellies before going out on our adventures. ||The island itself was beautiful and well taken care of. The pool was the perfect temperature and great for a refreshing dip after a morning of snorkeling or kayaking. Our room was serviced 2x a day with anything used, replaced etc. etc. We were in villa 6 facing south, and spent time enjoying our indoor/outdoor space, especially at night for stargazing. It was quiet, peaceful, and clean. ||As far as activities - we opted for the adventure package which included the jet ski safari, fishing, and the sand cay picnic. Hard to nail down a favorite, during each of them I had to take a moment to pinch myself. Who get's to play on a jet ski in Fiji on Christmas Eve??? ||Between the scheduled daily activities and the ones you can sign up for that take you off of the island, there is plenty to do - if you want to - but also many beautiful spaces for relaxing and unplugging. ||Over all 12/10 vacation destination and resort. We hope to go back and are already convincing family and friends to go as well.

Not a week goes by that we don't talk about our incredible stay at Royal Davui. Royal Davui is the most beautiful and special place we've ever been. The snorkeling with the live coral was just spectacular - like a scene from Finding Nemo with the clownfish in the anemones. The entire island is surrounded by a vibrant and healthy reef, that you can access directly from the dock and beach. Just incredible! The food was delciious and we loved selecting our lunch and dinner at breakfast. The in villa breakfast was such a luxurious way to wake up. The cocktails here were excellent - the white lotus and tequila mockingbird were favorites. Truly out of this world highlight was the sand cay beach picnic - I've never been anywhere more beautiful in my life, and getting to enjoy bubbly and snacks here was a bucket list experience. We also enjoyed the outer beqa reef snorkeling and the sunset cruise. At the resort, we loved the crab races, cocktail tasting, live music, and sunset deck. The fridge in the room with cookies was a special touch. Everyone here was just so wonderful and welcoming (especially Paul, hi Paul!)- we feel like we've found a special place in the world and can't wait to return. PS: Marco at the air strip was great - we loved getting to chat with him while the plane arrived! Take the flight option in, it was great!

The villas are beautiful, the views are amazing, the marine life is splendid, the resort is just impressive but what makes this place such a paradise on earth is the staff! From the moment you arrive they know your name, your villa number, you never have to think of anything they just do this for you. It’s such a unique, private and personnel experience. You feel so well taken care of that you’ll never want to leave. They have such an amazing philosophy. They 100% make this place what it is.

We spent four heavenly days at Royal Davui. We loved every minute of it. We arrived by small plane/boat. The transfers went seamlessly. We were greeted on arrival by the owners, Grant and Chris and the manager Vincent as well as the staff singing a welcome chorus. We were blown away. |I don’t think I’ve ever stayed somewhere with a manager who was so friendly and efficient - Vincent is the best. The location is stunning, and all the staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating. Special shout outs to Vito, David and Ben behind the bar, Iwa, Sitiri, Luque on the guitar, and La. Everyone we encounters was so nice!|We loved the Kava ceremony - it was such a lovely way to introduce us to Fijian customs and traditions. |The resort is gorgeous, the rooms, spacious and well appointed. I loved how there is a separate bedroom and living area, as my husband and I get up at different hours. We appreciated the filtered water in the rooms. |When I booked, I had a hard time deciding what kind of room to stay. We stayed in an Island Plunge Pool Bungalow which, while had a gorgeous view (sunrise), was SUPER windy and we couldn’t really sit outside because of the wind. Next time, I’d choose a villa on the opposite side, where the office/restaurant is because it is more protected and not as windy.|Snorkeling is AMAZING. We did both the outer reef snorkel and the guided house snorkel - literally some of the best snorkel in the world, right outside the resort - Josh and Ben were great snorkeling guides.|The food was maybe the weakest part of the resort but you don’t go for the food.|Our goodbye was even more amazing than our arrival with a Fijian chorus that left us with tears in our eyes. We will be back!

Room amazing. View incredible. Food delicious. Marine life spectacular. That's the basics. But we never gave our names or villa number after we arrived. Our food just came when we walked into the restaurant. That's the size and intimacy of this place.

From the moment we stepped off the boat at Royal Davui Island, being the most magical location, in the middle of the ocean with no one else around, we felt like we were being welcomed home by our very own island family. Every single staff member brought so much warmth, joy, and genuine care that it made our stay feel magical from day one!||The food and drinks were 11/10. The variety and flavours were delicious — we’re still daydreaming about our meals! Our villa (like all the villas on the island) had the most breathtaking view we’ve ever woken up to. It felt like our own private slice of paradise. ||The daily service including the turn down service each night meant the villa was always clean and ready for sleep or for us to have an afternoon siesta ! ||The activities were so much fun, and the team behind them were absolute legends — friendly, encouraging, and always ready to make each moment special.||The value and amount of inclusions are well worth it, with all of your meals and transfers included it made it so easy not to have to worry. ||We’re already counting down the days until we can return. We’ve told all our friends they need to experience Royal Davui for themselves!||A huge vinaka vakalevu to the entire Royal Davui team for giving us the most memorable, love-filled honeymoon we could have imagined. ||Bekky and Tony ! |💙🌺🏝️

What an absolutely phenomenal trip. Royal Davui Island Resort made this a fairytale vacation. ||We made so many memories here that we will remember for the rest of our lives. A picnic on a sand cay in the middle of an ocean, surrounded by mother nature and — hilariously — curious crabs. A sunset cruise where we all enjoyed ourselves so much and we both had deep thoughts about the state of the world and also detached from the world in the way you most hope to on a vacation. Hours upon hours at the pool, reading, writing, and thinking while sipping smoothies and cocktails like some movie. It really was a dream.||The staff were absolutely next level: Lydia, David, Meme (both of them!), Ben, Sitari, Jacki, Mesui, Bill, Paul, Mela, La, Dee, and so many more. Things like helping with sea sickness, stocking us up on cookies, giving me a weighted blanket during a head facial, chatting about the flora and fauna, laughing and smiling through kava rounds, and just so much joy shared throughout. Also, they are all highly talented singers. I told Mesui that I could listen to him all day. Chill music while I worked. He is seriously talented. Really though, so many of them are. And the chefs! Wow. They are an incredible group.||Royal Davui Island is a special place with very special people. It was an honor to spend a week there.
